《DarkBoi69's mediocre, rushed and badly-written aventure》A mistake, but not too much (800)

In a richly-decorated room moved two women, the identity of one of them immediately clear by her suspicious leather attire. The supposed rogue stood at the end of a bed with a grin as she fixed up her third layer of cloak, with a satisfied, content smirk on her face.
“Will you… be coming back?” a meek voice asked, catching her attention, and she looked up to face two shy fleeting eyes, that seemed to harden in resolve and eventually stare back at her confidently.
“Would you want me to?” the unnamed rogue replied as she took the chance to gaze at the only recently-clad woman —or rather young girl— she was facing, for exposition’s sake. Gold, shoulder-length hairs fell on the hem of a long, white robe that dove beneath the covers. The daughter of the biggest merchant of that part of town had been a real pleasure to get to know. The sex had also been fun, but she really stood out with the overwhelming sense of calm and friendliness she had immediately given off when they had spoken, despite the debatably-friendly entry through her window at that time of the night.
“What do you think? Do any of your conquests ever not ask you to come back?” A narrowing set of eyebrows poutily answered her teasing.
“And how many of these get an answer they like, what do you think?” The rogue placed one of her boot against the end of the bed as she leaned in. She had practiced these poses. For quite a while, but making a good, memorable impression was important.
To be honest, though, she didn’t really know that many people. Obviously more than the average, but still not as many as her persona and the air she liked to carry herself with tried to imply. And most of them had not really asked her to come back, or been interesting enough for her to stay long enough to give them the chance in the first place.

A soft pomf brought her attention back to the thick covers, were a hand had just pomfed itself against said cover, in exasperation.
“I might,” she said, and found that her whole persona was sort of falling under the honesty of the situation. “I’ll come back…”
“Oh. I—”
“—If!...” She fixed that by raising a finger and grinned at the annoyed reaction she was hoping for. Another one of these and she was going to get a pillow to the face, she could feel it. “If I’m not satisfied with that dude that’s supposed to be your fiancé.”
A cute snort reached her as the blonde maiden tried to hide her amusement.
“...See you tomorrow then.”
“Tsk tsk, what a horrible young woman you are.” She chided with a laugh, to which she got a slight eye roll in answer.
“...Realist more like…”
And with that, our still unnamed rogue jumped out of the window, abusing her vastly overpowered physical and magical strengths to land on the roof of the building across the street, and left to go attend to her business.
The young ‘maiden’ smiled as she witnessed it, and closed her window from across the bedroom with a gesture. The curtains soon followed and she let go of her illusion, her eyes taking back the usual red color she let them have in private ever since she has assimilated herself into the merchant’s daughter’s body. Or well, her own body. It was still a bit confusing.
Pfew, nearly forgot to add some plot in there.
Not only was the rogue woman’s visits quite appreciated in a quite self-interested way, she seemed to be the kind of person she would need to know to get any information on how to get back home.

She was going to miss her buddy Lilith’s birthday at this rate, although the whole ‘accidentally merging with a random human’ thing was quite a good excuse, at least for her standards. Also she really wanted to ask her what the fuck she and her friend who might or might not have been named before had done before she had suddenly woken up in the human realm.

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
