《I Shall Prevail》Chapter 7: Demons and Angels

Adir was out of breath, looking at the large beast in front of him. It was menacing and evil looking almost like it came directly out of a nightmare. Being as scared as he was he also felt familiarity with the dire wolf. It had even called him master as well.
“W-why a-are you calling me… m-master.” – stuttered Adir.
Young master, you are not from this place. The woman who has cared for you isn’t your mother either, explaining will take too long. We will instead show you. It’ll be easier that way. We will need you to lay down young master.
GULP
Adir although confused and somewhat scared felt he could trust them both, he wanted answers and this would probably help him get them. He continued to lay on the ground and watched as both beasts stood in front of him. As he laid there the beasts continued by closing their eyes and remaining still. In front of their foreheads a tiny brilliant orb started to form. What had started the size of a rice eventually grew to the size of an orange.
The two orbs, one blue and one red, floated towards Adir. While slowly making their way to him they started to swirl around and combine. It was now double in size and directly above Adir. He was nervous as he watched the entire thing play out. He could tell it was mana but it had many other properties he could not name.
As the orb started to flow towards his forehead, he felt his sight start to become blurry until finally he was unconscious.
The beasts watched as the orb entered Adir, he appeared to have fainted but it was normal for this to occur. He would feel like he was dreaming but instead of having random dreams he would see his origins, family as well as other things he may need in the future.

The beasts had used a hidden technique in order to achieve their goal. The user would need to use mana and their mind as one and continue by focusing on the memories they want to share. In this case they needed Adir to know his origin so they focused on his parents between other things.
This would most likely leave Adir unconscious for at least a day but he’d be okay. Now that he had entered the initiate stage he could go without eating for a few days without an issue. Having done what they needed the large bird carefully grabbed Adir with one of its legs and lifted off. It would return him to his bed.
Juliet would most likely get a scare if she saw Adir in a state similar to a coma so it would need to figure something out.
What is this… - thought Adir.
He had remembered being in front of the two beasts and suddenly he was transported to another place. He felt light and everything looked real yet at the same time fake. It was the strangest feeling, almost like he was dreaming.
Wait… is this a dream? – as Adir thought this he remembered the beasts saying they would show him his origins between other things.
He began to observe his surroundings, he was floating in the sky. Below was a beautiful landscape, many creatures could be seen about along with a small villages scattered across the land, some bigger than others. It looked peaceful until a large tear in the sky suddenly appeared. It was as if the sky had glitched and a large part was completely black. Figures started to come out of the tear, it was a portal, it wasn’t a few figures either. More and more started coming out of the portal, it was an army.

They wore bright armor, some gold and others white and held banners that read ‘Angels Dynasty’, flags could be seen as well. They had a pair of white wings and a golden crown as their logo. Many beasts could be seen as well, there were phoenixes, pegasi and griffins at their ranks between other beasts.. It was a large army when the portal had finally closed, it completely blocked the light from reaching the ground. Adir estimated at least a hundred thousand.
That- why would they send so man- Adir stopped thinking when he saw another tear had appeared on opposite sides to the angels army. Another large army had arrived but this one was very different. They all wore dark armor, some were red and others were black, the men in this army had black wings, and horns could be seen on their heads along with a tail swinging behind. Their banners read ‘Demons Empire’ and their flags had a black crown with crossed swords as their logo.
The demons army had many beasts as well. Adir could see giant dire wolfs, hydras and large dragons at their ranks along with other beasts. The amount of power these armies had was immeasurable, it would prove catastrophic to the land.
From the angel army a woman had come forth, she wore a crown on her head and golden armor, in her arms she held a broad silver shield and long sword.
On opposite sides, a man had come forth from the demon army, he held a crown on his head with dark red armor and a long double headed glaive in his right hand. Raising his glaive to the air he roared as he swiftly pointed it at the enemy army.
Although they were each miles apart the man and woman furiously stared at one another, they very clearly enemies to the death.
They each roared at the same time, starting the battle.
DESINTEGRATE THEM ALL!!! - Angel
OBLITERATE THEM ALL!!! - Demon
Adir was at a loss for words, in a matter of seconds the two armies were already colliding with another.
Wolfs were biting into angels, tearing them limb by limb, armor proved futile to these beasts ferocious bites. Others were luckier and dodged these beasts attacks continuing with a swift swipe of their swords completely cutting the wolfs in half pouring their guts out.
To be continued..
