《Fox Squadron》Chapter 15- Michael

It was probably a good thing that they hadn't launched to reinforce Tali’s wing. If they had, Michael would have probably done something irreversible to the Wolgren ship after seeing the damage to Tali’s fighter. He still intended to do something quite irreversible. However it was now far more focused and less likely to start a war or crusade. Not that he cared much if it did. So as soon as he was sure Tali was relatively OK he rushed off in order to have some divisive words with the Wolgren commander. Tiara must have come to a very similar decision.
Just before he reached the locker room door she stepped out and tossed him his sword. The look in her eyes said it all. She was with him and in full agreement. A line had been crossed and someone had to pay and they would be the ones to collect. But their time was limited so they would have to move fast. It wouldn't be long before even Frayin on the station would know the Wolgren were there and then things would become complicated. So the two rushed off, not even taking the time to change out of their flight suits.
It was hard to find them, the scent was hard to miss. They were in a large cargo room just outside of their ship. Nirva and the small group that had been following her earlier plus what looked to be the Terran Ambassador. In front of them stood Wolgren commander. The eight foot tall beast had a humanoid body covered in dark gray fur and the head of some large canine. The very picture of what the Terrans would have described as a werewolf covered in armor. Behind him were four more Wolgren each an imposing seven feet tall.

"I demand the trallop be handed over!" The towering Wolgren growled. Nirva gave an exasperated sigh. "I have already told you Commander Dracum to not refer to his Majesty's people in such a manner and the answer is still NO! It looked for a moment that the Terran Ambassador was going to attempt to defuse the circling argument and as a neutral party he probably stood a good chance to do so. However Michael never gave him the chance to try.
Without a word he walked up the Wolgren and with a smooth fluid motion drew and attacked. The whistle of his blade cutting through the air was the only warning Dracum got yet it was still just enough for the massive brute to dodge out of the way of the deliberately lethal strike. ecen still the sound of metal on metal reverberated throughout the halls as the tip of his blade bit into Dracum's chest plate, leaving a small shallow cut. For a brief moment he looked surprised at the sudden attack. However it didn't last long as Michael pressed his attack against the much larger and more powerful being.
Michael sent a flurry of strikes at the monster that were easley blocked and deflected by his clawed gauntlets. Finally with loud clang Dracum managed to grab hold of Michael's sword. "Oh, is the trallop yours?" He sneered. "Don't worry we'll give her back. Once we've bred her enough to replace our losses." The smaller Wolgren laughed at their leader's remarks. Dracum on the other hand had managed to realize the incredible danger he was in and immediately jumped back. Just as he did, a pillar of brilliant scarlet spirit fire filled the spot where he had just been.
The laughing stopped and one of the smaller Wolgren charged at Michael. It was at this point Tiara intervened, sliding in behind him and slicing her blade across his heel. He hadn't even finished falling to the ground before Tiara had sprung back to her feet and crossed the distance between her and Dracum. Her blade cut into his armor just after one of Michael bolts of spirit fire smashed into it.

Michael continued to use his spirit fire to support Tiara who bounced back and forth between Dracum and his three remaining combat capable subordinates. His own blade stayed focused on Dracum. Striking, blocking, deflecting and generally doing everything he could to keep the largest of the Wolgren for focusing on Tiara. It was a losing battle. They were outnumbered and out-powered.
Then the moment came. Dracum threw out a heavy left handed swing that Michael forced into the deck and held it there. Dracum gave a terrifying smile as he swung his remaining claw to take off Michael's head. But the strike never connected. Half way through the ark of the swing a hundred and eight pounds of weight was suddenly added to the arm, as Elvira landed before driving her blade into his shoulder. Amara darted in from the side, right under plates of his opposite shoulder. Michael swung his blade up at Dracum's head.
Dracum was suddenly yanked back causing Michael's blade to cut across his face. Standing behind him was a massive twelve foot tall Wolgren Alpha. "You idiotic grumpaks! Stop this at once!" The Alpha roared.
The fighting between the smaller Wolgren and Tiara, who had joined Kira and Kell moments before, came to an abrupt stop. At the same time Michael dropped back into a defensive position with Elvira and Amara at his sides. Behind them Lieutenant Colson and the remaining members were lined up with phaser pistols drawn.
A monotone voice broke the tension of the two groups faced against each other. "Please stop. This has all been a terrible misunderstanding" The tall blue skinned Mopalen stepped forward trying to calm the situation.
"I believe an explanation would be very helpful." Mia's soft voice pervaded throughout the room proclaiming her arrival in the process.
"Of course. We had intended to bring this up at the summit." The Mopalen Ambassador continued. "The Wolgren were following our orders. We had been informed that a group of Frayin terrorists had stolen several Frayin fighters and, were going to attack us as we entered the system."
The silence in the room was only broken by Lieutenant Colson. "Nayomi!" Five seconds later Nayomi responded. "I have just triple checked everything. There are no fighters missing. The only anomaly I found was a transmission from a remote senator's office to the Mopalen confirming what the Ambassador said."
Admiral Harket looked over everyone in the room. "It would appear that things have now become very complicated."
