《Invasion》Chapter 2: Morning Mayhem

As the sun rises, Ramza wakes up to the sounds of loud snoring.
He rubs his eyes and stares blankly at the river. He still feel sluggish.
His neck aches a little, probably the akward position after he felt asleep.
As he scans around his surroundings a part of him wishes that his still in a dream.
That the incident yesterday was all just a figment of his imagination.
The bonfire was now burnt out and all the twigs and branches have all become ash.
Few metres from the bonfire was Abby she was lying on the ground still fast asleep, her snoring drowns the sound of the river and the waterfall .
Its hard to imagine a red haired , fair skined beauty snoring loudly.
Surely this must be a dream Ramza thought.
He was then interupted by a loud rumbling in his stomach.
The sound was almost on par with Abby's snoring.
All the commotion made him forgot about his hunger.
Better get some food he thought.
He stood up picks up his staff that was right beside him. He scans it thoroughly to see if there was any damage from all the fighting last night.
The red jewel that amplifies magic was still there and there seems no damage to the wood.
He starts limbiring up dont want to get a sprain early in the morning.
Ramza then scans thoroughly to see if there are fruit bearing tree nearby.
No luck. Its all just shrubs and grass.
As he was looking he then remembers a trick his comrade Joe thought him.
The recollection of Joe made him felt a slight pain in his chest.
He then give himself a wake up slap as a way to make himself awake and try to control his emotions.
"Thank you Joe"
A futile call but it makes his heart a little bit better.
He grabs his staff and walks toward the river. He then dips the tip of the staff into it.
He then gathers magic into his hands.
"Shock!"
The tip of the staff lights up and a surge of electricity spreads through the area of the river close to his staff.
Few moments later dozens of dead fish pops up from the surface of the river.
Ramza feels a little bad for doing this but its better that having an empty stomach.
As Ramza stood there and was amaze of what he had done the fish starts floating downstream towards the waterfall.
"Shit! I didnt think this through"
Ramza puts his staff in the ground and hurriedly grabs the fish.

He grab some of them but a few of them got washed out towards the bottom of the waterfall.
The sudden rush made him forgot where he was and now he was all wet.
Water soaks into his robe and made it feel heavy.
What a great way to start the day he thought.
Hey atleast he doesn't need to take a bath now.
He slowly got out of the river, his boots was wet and it made the dreaded sound everyone hates.
His wet clothes and the chilly morning air made him shiver a little so he walks slowly towards Abby and the campfire.
He was holding a few fish in both of his hands. Holding them carefully so that it may not fall to the ground.
He puts them beside the campfire carefully arranging them.
He then starts taking of his boots and his robe.
If someone saw him right now they might think he was about to do something to Abby.
The pants he was wearing was soaked and his white cotton shirt was wet at the bottom.
After setting up the campfire again, he then cleans the fish and skewers them, then puts them upright on the campfire.
He then sits beside the campfire and warms himself up. The smell of fish cooking made him salivate and made his stomach rumbles.
The appetizing fishy aroma made Abby's nose twitch. She slowly open her eyes.
She is looking around to see where that smell is coming from. She meet eyes with Ramza who was clearly wet.
"Good morning"
"Morning"
Abbys stomach rumbles. Her cheeks immediately reddens.
"Sorry" She said
Ramza feels a little bit sorry for her, but his trauma always pulls him back.
Abby then sees the fish on the campfire. Her mouth starts drooling.
"Can i have some?" She pleads
She gives Ramza a pouty face and her hazel color eyes seemingly sparkles.
The force of those puppy dog eyes could make any man give his entire fortune.
But Ramza encountered that fearsome technique before so he built some immunity to it. Big emphasis on some.
"N-no go catch your own" Ramza said, feeling a bit guilty.
"Just a little bit?"
"No"
"Fine!" snarled Abby.
She immediately stands up and sticks her tongue at Ramza.
"Im gonna catch a whole bunch of them. Dont even smell them once their cooking you hear me?"
Ramza just ignores her and continue watching his fish.
"Hmph" She then storms out towards the river.
She then stands up near the edge of it thinking on how can she catch some fish.

Few minutes of staring blanky at the river.
She suddenly lits up like she remembers something.
When she was a little girl she use to watch this nature show with her grandpa.
The guy would use his feet to feel for structures that could harbor a fish and then he would reach out his hand in the crevice of the rock.
Then a seconds later he would have a fish in his hand.
This should be a piece of cake she thought.
She didnt realized that you need a decent amount of luck not to mention that the guy was a professional.
It is hard to catch some fish in this leather uniform so she looks around to see if anyones watching.
She then looks at Ramza who was busy cooking his fish.
"Alright lets do this, how hard can it be?" Abby said as she slowly unzips her leather uniform.
The zipper was at the front so it was easy for her to take off.
As the zipper was at the bottom you can see her short tank top and her exposed toned midriff.
She did not realize Ramza was staring at her now.
Few moments later she successfully takes out her uniform and then she puts them on the ground.
Her short spats gives her well round butt more allure.
Ramza eyes was glued on to Abby her short tank top and spats combo can turn almost any man to lustful beast.
Ramza slightly forgot about his hunger and was just ogling at her.
Their eyes suddenly meet and Ramza immediately looks away.
"Pervert!" shouted Abby
Ramza cheeks went red. He felt conflicted and guilty on why he did that.
Don't give into the temptation, they are demons, a very sexy demons Ramza thought.
Abby then takes off her boots and goes into the river.
As she was on the deeper part of the river she accidentally step on something slimy.
Ramza is now about to bite on the fish when suddenly he hears a loud scream.
He quickly turns around and see Abby is getting slowly entangled by some tentacles.
Dozens of slimy slimy limbs slowly crawling on her body.
Then suddenly a 7 feet three eyed octopus emerges from the water.
Abby is now trashing trying to get rid of the tentacles. Her screams echoes throught the forest making dozens of birds flee.
It is now slowly enveloping her body making her breath heavily.
Some tentacles is now slowly crawling into her tank top and through her bra.
Her cheeks was beet red and her eyes is now on the verge of tears.
"Help me Ramza!"
"Dont worry thats just a baby kraken they dont eat you they just-"
Ramza then drops his fish and remembers that baby kraken often feeds on sexual juices.
"Oh shit. Im coming"
Ramza hastily gets his staff and run towards the river.
The tentacles are now forcing their way through Abby spats.
Abby tries to fight the urge to moan but the way the tentacle wraps around her breast made her feel more aroused.
Ramza is now at the river looking at the monster ravaging Abby few meters from him.
Think Ramza think what are baby krakens weakness he thought.
Ramza then remembered that its third eye hates fire.
He then quickly points his staff at the third eye of the kraken.
The tentacles were now inside Abby panties and are now rubbing her private part.
"Ahnn. Hurry!"
Ramza starts casting his spell but Abby's moaning made it HARD to cast it quickly.
A few seconds of moaning and chanting Ramza finaly invokes the spell.
"Gatling fireball!"
An orange light shines at the tip of his staff and then a ball of fire shoots from it and then another and then another. All hitting the krakens eye.
The kraken shrieks in pain and its body crashes towards the river making a huge splash.
Its tentacles convulses and shake.
The spasm made it throw Abby into the air towards Ramza.
Ramza tries to catch Abby but her trajectory was a bit higher and instead her butt hits his face.
They both fell down to the ground.
"Get off" Ramza said
Abby was still recovering from onslaught of pleasure so she was still unresponsive. Her body still tingles.
Ramza is now suffocating and he starts flailing around trying to get out of the soft death trap.
Abby finally stands up but her knees was still shaking.
"T-Thank you"
Ramza the dust himself off and stands up opposite of her.
"You're welcome"
Abby's cheeks was still red and she is trying to avoid Ramza's gaze.
Ramza feels bad for her but a little part of him wants to know what happened if he just waited and watched for a few minutes.
Few awkward minutes later Ramza decided to make her go back to the campfire and let her have some of his fish.
Abby then thanks him, picks up her leather uniform and walks slowly towards the campfire.
As she was almost towards the campfire Ramza notices that her nose was wet.
Then his cheeks turn red as he realized what it was.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
