《There Is A Monster Among Us》Chapter 9

Ever since that attack, everyone has been more alert than usual. Even the ship's crew scans the horizon for any sign of hostile ships when on a break.
Speaking of nothing else to do, I'm inside the Captain's office playing cards with him. We've been sailing for two days now, yet there's been no news of the intruder. They probably think I'm a liar because of that. But hopefully, that is just me being pessimistic. My troops have not changed their attitude towards me. As for the Captain...,
"What is it? Got a good hand?" The Captain catches me staring at him.
"Ah, no. I was just wondering about something," I put down my cards in surrender. "Captain, I'm worried that the intruder might have been busy these past couple of days."
"Worrying alone won't do anything, you know. You have to take action! But if you can't even lift a finger, then, whatever happens, happens."
"I can't tell if that's optimistic or pessimistic, Captain Greene."
"Please, you know that I'm both."
The two of us play a few more rounds until it is time for supper. Just as we are about to proceed to the mess, we meet Orange. She has sunset orange hair that grows to neck length and is Yellow's maid. She's also beautiful, but unlike Black's aloof nature, the impression I got from Orange these couple of days is that she's the cheerful type.
Orange voted for me to be tossed overboard, though, so I cannot be blamed if I'm not too friendly with her. She's sexy, though.
"Hey~" Orange waves at us with a sweet smile.
"Wassup?" Captain Greene greets her with a smile of his own.
I do nothing but listen to their exchange. Both Captain Greene and Orange already got used to me ignoring the four people who tried to vote me off, so I was there left alone, waiting for them to finish.

From what I could gather from their chatter, it seems that the cook finished preparing the meals earlier than expected and that almost everyone has done eating. The knights and their servants, on the other hand, are taking their stored food as a precautionary measure since they can not brush aside my testimony too easily about the intruder still being here.
Finally speaking their goodbyes to each other, Captain Greene and I continue to the mess where we stumble upon a tragic sight. The ship's crew are lying dead or almost dead, foaming visible on the mouth. Seeing this, the Captain ran up to the upper deck to check on the rest.

An Unbound Soul
When Peter suffers a too-close encounter with a truck, he finds himself reborn in another world. At first glance it is a perfect fantasy land. There's magic to play with, elves singing in the forest and a hyperactive catgirl neighbour. There's even a System that lets him earn skills and level up. But it isn't long before he notices that the world is far too perfect. Just why is everyone so nice? Can Peter accept the alien morality of this world's self-proclaimed protector, or will he seek to overthrow her? Set after the events of A Lonely Dungeon, a few hundred years after the rebirth of civilization, this is a story about an earthling falling into Erryn's new world and the subsequent struggles of himself and Erryn to understand each other. It's a slow paced slice of life, and while there are pieces of action, don't expect any immediate grand conflict between Erryn and Peter. Published here, scribblehub and amazon. Two new chapters a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Will his sacrifice make the world a better place, or see it burned to ruin? Let's hope he can unravel the intricacies of his new life, and work out his own issues before fate grinds him to dust ____________________________ Side note here, I added sexual content and traumatizing content tags because once the MC gets into the story things start to get a bit dark.

Rise of the Cheat Potion Maker, a Cultivation LitRPG saga #1
In a blink, I found myself in an unknown land, greeted by the textbox of an unfriendly system. It wanted me to become a great hero, save the world, win the love of the people and all that crap. But this new world already had a hero. Why should I bust my ass, deal with dragons and the unknown, for people I didn't know? Let him deal with that. It's his job! So instead of being tempted by the system's nonsense, I chose a simple class. Potion maker. I wasn't interested in cultivating mana and defying the heavens, courting death, none of that crap. Unfortunately, the town I spawned near was suffering crippling inflation, merchants and people were leaving, and they themselves lacked high-demand businesses. The town would soon be going under. Not if I have anything to say about it. But will it be that easy to escape fate...? A Fate Shaped by Magick
This fiction was (and is) published on fanfiction dot net under the same title; though as I slowly transfer it to here, I am editing and smoothing it. This story takes place in the Elder Scrolls (TES) Universe mostly ending up in Morrowind. This is a slice of life meant to answer the questions of how (in the TES universe) do mages study and learn, and exploring some of the in-game differences between TES 2 and 3. This book has minimal spoilers for the Morrowind main quest and does not fully explore it. If you think that giant insects would make cool pets - if you like the idea of exploring magic NOT intended simply as killing something better, faster or more gore-ridden, then come on in and enjoy.
