And this time the goddess did not disappoint. Although she was not present in a physical sense a faint silhouette of herself appeared in front of the seven virtues.
""Lady Electra..."" All greeted bowing slightly at her in respect and the goddess nodded in acknowledgment. A doting expression flashing through her eyes as she looked at the seven in front of her.
They were like her won children, beings she'd looked after since the death of their parents. Their bond as old as the mortal world.
"Lady Electra, the reason we called..." Before Kieren could finish the goddess of Light waved her hand interrupting a somber look replacing the affectionate one she sported earlier.
"I know what you seek. Your powers are getting weaker and you require answers. But this time I do not have them. You will need to venture outside to find what you seek." Electra mumbled her eyes far away as thoughts flitted through her.
The times were getting complicated and the gods have come to an agreement to not meddle in the mortal affairs. That had been what occupying her these past days. The God of Life and the God of Death had been especially difficult when agreeing.
After days of arguing and scheming, they had come to a compromise.
Unless it was for the sake of their charges or it was an absolute necessity the gods were to not step out of the nine heavens in their physical form.
And just minutes later the god of Life had been not shy to make a trip to the mortal world with his spiritual form. Earning grumbles of the peers but everyone had kept shut of their dissatisfactions.
Because there really was no one who wanted to cross the particular great god.
And Lady Electra had a pretty good idea that the agreement they've come upon would not be upheld by many soon enough.
Everyone was scheming, hold up in their territories, and if even she had to take precautions.
"But my lady... it was you who told us to take roots in here and we've not ventured outside for centuries," Elysetta spoke worried, thinking what could've happened to make the goddess so agitated.
"I know, but there is nothing I can do. Step out, you will find out what is wrong. And if you face difficulties, find help. This time it is only you who can solve the problems plaguing you." And with the warning, her image started waning alarming the seven.
"My Lady!"
"Lady Electra!"
"Wait!"
They called out but only a few words remained behind.
"Remember, find help, it does not matter who..."
The seven of them could only stare at each other in apprehension, wondering what was going on and what kind of storm were they about to face.
Several minutes passed with them being silent when Diligence spoke.
"It does not matter now. Get ready and prepare the necessary I have a feeling it will be some time before we would be able to come back." With that, he turned on his heel stalking away leaving behind the rest in deep thought.

"There, there, they are coming this way." A brunette quickly alerted the rest of her gang and immediately all the girls looked whether they were presentable before looking towards the four figures walking towards their side.
They were all tall and lean, the first one with his blonde hair slicked back, accenting to his sharp jawline, his walk confident the strides dominating the rest of them. The second one had unfathomably deep violet eyes, strands of red hair falling into them only adding to his charm.
Then there was the playful one, eyes always filled with a mischievous light, he had his arm laid around the last one's shoulder. The latter's shoulder-length hair brushing against his arm as he walked unbothered by the one clinging to him.
It was none other than the four males of the sins.
Now that unnecessary suspicion was out of the way, the girls had finally gained the courage to ogle and drool over the fins specimens.
Their hearts fluttering as they looked at the handsome sins.
Of course, not everyone was as infatuated as the gaggle of girls standing in the hallway, none of them could deny the dangerous charm they were emitting.
This being especially distasteful for the male population, except for the ones who preferred the male gender over the females.
But in the end, one thing was true, none of them dared to approach the four, scared they would earn their ire.
"Ooh look they are staring. What do you say little Damien, do you want to have a romp?" Col asked carelessly ruffling the latter's hair which earned a light slap to his hand.
"Fine, fine, then... what about men?" This time he was entirely abandoned as Damien walked faster joining the two in the front.
Huffing at the disdainful behavior Col shrugged before throwing himself over both Lucien and Damien earning two groans of annoyance from both of them.
But otherwise, he was left like that making the troublemaker smile smugly knowing they did not entirely loath his troublemaking ways.
While this was happening, two ladies hid behind a beam watching the four discreetly only sigh in disappointment when they walked away without sparing a glance to the dressed-up lot.
"Psshh... Are you sure they are functioning males? How can one resist such adorable ladies?" Amara asked in dissatisfaction her dark eyes running over the said ladies' figures.
But soon a slap to her head gained her attention.
"Hey! What was that for?!" She hissed only to meet the uncaring eyes of her younger sister.
"Stop being a perve, your precious Jasper might get jealous." Lilith mocked.
"As if. That block of head is worse than a nun. Even they can be manipulated." The storm in her heart could be heard in her voice. Patting her back in consolation Lilith spoke.
"Let's go, they are not going to give in just yet. Playing hard to get had be
come a trend." She mumbled before dragging the dark-haired one away, who was still lost in thoughts of a certain someone.

The mortal world was wildly vast but as always it fell short to the heavenly realm and the netherworlds, but still, the mortal world could not be taken lightly.
Unlike the immortals who could survive on either world, the mortals only lived in this world and so the number of habitants vastly surpassed that of the heavens only falling short to the nine hells where both demons and the dead spirits resided.
Within the mortal world, it was divided into eight major kingdoms; Royale, Therion, Daemon, Anthropos, Acelynn, Zoeigh, Dracus, and Gigantes. It had originally been nine, the kingdom of Lena, the second kingdom to contain humans within it.
But due to the monstrous actions of the sins, the kingdom had been originally wiped off the map only eight kingdoms now remaining.
Royale was the only kingdom with every living species in it. This all was thanks to the seven monarchs overlooking Royale.
Royale was the home for the powerful and the rich, it took much more area than the others and was prosperous of kingdoms. It contained the best of the education and the best of the magical resources for the mortals to advance.
And now this prosperous kingdom has faced a precarious time.
In a lavish household in a remote corner of the capital, very much closer to the academy of Tera, which had numerous vehicles parked in its garden, the mansion itself not second to a five-star hotel. The owner of this magnificent architecture was currently inside walking among the bustling gathering of people.
The atmosphere was not by any means suitable for the beings of a younger age, for the activities taking place inside were entirely adult.
The owner though, had a jovial smile on his face as he watched his colleagues and acquaintances engaged in the forbidden sins.
The most peculiar thing was the entire community was of humans, there was not a single member of other species to be found. But the owner himself was a reputable vampire.
He was old, the centuries he carried was something even those close to him did not know. But with his youthful looks, handsome countenance, and overriding power, he was one of the bigshots of the kingdom, who could be said to be even close to the seven monarchs.
Maviz Xavior was such a being.
Currently, he was having a party at his mansion, exclusive to the creatures he prayed on.
The humans were such peculiar creatures. Their ancestry was magnificent, even his kind originating from them, but most of them still remained so weak and easily wounded and in some cases killed.
But today it was not such an occasion. This could be said to be doing a favor of sort. All he'd done was set up a place and time for the so-called weak and helpless creatures to indulge in debauchery.
Be it sexuality or violence, everything could be handled here.
Even now as he watched two young men strapping a pretty girl onto a table, all three of them entirely naked, he or any other attending there did not intervene. Because it was not only them who were exhibiting their fantasy, the whole mansion was filled with such people.
And the three of them, the men dominating the woman while she cried and begged clearly enjoying were only the mildest of them.
The more violent once resided more into the mansion.
Calmly with assured steps, the vampire lord walked up the staircase, stepping into an inside balcony that overlooked the entire place.
And what he saw was enough to make the mistress of Lust blush.
It was a haven filled with sex, passion, pleasure, or brutal lust. Consisting of simple, passionate lovemaking to dominating, violent sex. Roleplay, beatings, force, all took place and Maviz even saw some closer to death.
But he did nothing, all this just played to his amusement.
This was why he loved this particular type of pray of his.
So weak and helpless, yet at the same time so savage and bloodthirsty.
It was all simply fascinating.
But then the magical undulations surrounding him interrupted the train of his thoughts.
Seeing who the signs indicated a low chuckle escaped him.
"I thought you would not contact me again," Maviz spoke, light teasing in his voice but the other side did not care for the playful attitude.
"I was not going to. But I was informed you wanted to talk." The impatience in the other's voice was enough to make one huff at the rudeness, but Mavix who's walked the earth for enough lifetimes did not mind it.
"Yes. Is the next one is for humans as well?" Excitement stirred in him when he asked.
"I don't care. I just want the 'parties' to take place and after the required time period, consider all our debts cleared. And do make sure the guardians do not get the wind of this." With that, the line cut off, the magic dissipating to the air.
Leaving behind only the vampire, now with a calm and calculating look in his eyes.
The content of the call just made him wonder, just how many had owed the person depts and just how many were currently holding 'paries'.
Fascinating, fascinating indeed.

The entire capital was a mess, and it will soon be the whole kingdom. If the monarchs soon find out the abnormalities it would have been fine, but with the players in the field, it unknown how long it would take.
Besides now that the gods were unable to interfere with the mortal world like usual, the fates knew what kind of trouble was about to storm up.
But all this was only a passing concern for the great god of Life, who currently sat in front of the only person he would call a friend.
Apparently, Emidio, the great god of death has something he wished to discuss.

8 230The Queen's Guard
Friedrich Schreiner is a proud gefreiter of the Queen's Guard, 2nd Company: the finest fighting infantry on the continent (barring the Temple Guard; but please don't bring that up). Service is honourable but, with the Empire on a peacetime footing, terribly boring. Affairs take a dramatic turn for the worse when a mysterious invader uses a forgotten and taboo magical means to breach the capital, plunging the nation into chaos and endangering the royal family. With events spiraling out of control, Friedrich is entrusted with a critical mission. Will hot lead, cold steel, and his determination be enough to see him through? The Queen's Guard is what I'm calling a black powder fantasy story: it's set in a loose equivalent of the early 18th century (plus or minus a few pieces I decided I wanted or didn't want). Magic exists, but not in a spell-slinging sort of way: it's Earth-shaking undertakings or minor enchantments forged in by master craftsmen, the grand working of a secretive cabal or a slight nudge to the course of a blow. I, the eternal optimist, have a full trilogy in mind. The first book is The Prince's Arquebusier, hence the cover and the title disagreeing! This is my shot at 2021's NaNoWriMo and RR Writathon! I've hitherto been terrible at writing long-form fiction, so this is an effort to break out of that by having some accountability in being supposed to post chapters regularly. Here's hoping it works! I have an outline, but not too much detail. I'll do my best to avoid continuity errors, doing anything glaringly stupid, or otherwise fluffing my lines, but I can't make any promises on that. Please do let me know any feedback! Always happy to improve. [participant in the Nov 2021 Royal Road Writathon challenge]
