《EEPOS: from rags to godhood》The underdog nation part 3

A couple of the gangsters of the black rat gang were waiting outside the bar.
They told them that they had found Diedrich's villa in the city. He was currently away and was in the council building meeting his colleagues.
As they were walking toward the center of the city where the councilmen met they saw a huge crowd gathered. People were chanting and raising their fists in the air. It was a rally against the country and the people of the Fairfax kingdom.
"Let's see now. People burning our nation's flag, with pitchforks and yelling slurs about our country. Oh yes, this seems like a safe place to be," Yosef said.
On the balcony were all the councilmen, but the real center of attention was Diedrich Verstappen. As he walked to the ledge the people cheered.
"I guess there are some people here who want war," Joan said while looking around.
Diedrich coughed and opened his voice.
"Good people of Brahm. For long we have been ridiculed, mocked and slandered by those who would oppress us. I have just one message to these people. WE ARE NOT INFERIOR AND WE WILL NOT BE OPPRESSED.
The kingdom of Fairfax is just another name and a facade. They are still the same Jacob kingdom. The same dirty kingdom that has waged war on us many times. It won't be long until they show their true colors again. Let us not wait for them to do the first move. Let us be the ones strike first.
"Let us strike for our people, for our country, FOR THE GREATER BRAHM."
The people exploded into cheers and applause. It was clear now that Diedrich was dangerous to everyone in the Fairfax kingdom and had to be stopped.
~~
It had been a couple of days after Diedrich had given his speech to the people and instigated that war was on the horizon. He had installed dangerous ideas to his people, mostly on the young people who did not know the truths and horrors of war. They were enticed by his words and were being fooled with dreams of conquest and glory.

Diedrich had not once after the speech left his villa and rumors were that he was planning with his generals the invasion he so much wished for.
Time was running out and something had to be done before war erupted.
His soldiers guarded his home night and day and were located at the heart of the city with many people coming and going. Needless to say, attacking it would have been suicide.
Luck was about to turn on them, fortunately.
When Joan, Haley and Yosef were on the lookout in a nearby inn they saw Diedrich leaving his home. He got on his carriage and started to leave.
The three of them got on horseback and tried to catch up to him.
The masses of people made their pace slower and they quickly were losing sight of the wagon.
They followed him to the gates that were open that took them outside the city.
After a while, they had lost complete sight of their target and had come to a standstill on a crossroad. They looked around and had no idea where he had gone to.
"I think I could spot teeth in a hen's mouth before we found that carriage," Yosef said looking around.
"Shut up asshole," Joan angrily said back.
"I could say something snarky back, but I feel like that peanut brain knight would kill me and I value my life too much…."
"Say something funny, ONE MORE TIME!"
As Joan and Yosef were arguing Haley looked around. She saw one large villa that was in the middle of a field surrounded by sunflowers.
"Surrounded by suns"
Haley got off her horse and started to walk towards the villa. Joan and Yosef followed her as they sneaked to the yard undetected.
At the yard was a fancy carriage with few soldiers guarding it.

"You really think the first building you saw would be the one where the councilman went?" Yosef asked not believing their luck.
They sneaked and climbed on top of the roof and spotted a man embracing a woman.
"Thank you for coming, Diedrich. Did your wife suspect anything?" the woman asked.
Haley looked at Yosef.
"He could be some other Diedrich. I am sure it is a common name here," Yosef said who still believed they had that easily found him.
"Do not worry. Being a councilman makes me busy and unavailable. She will not suspect a thing," Diedrich said.
Yosef looked stupid as Hailey's smile yelled "told you so."
"Okay, we need now a plan. We should not just rush in," Haley whispered to them.
Joan jumped through the window with her sword in hand startling the secret couple.
"Sounds like a brilliant idea, but I'm afraid she is not brilliant herself," Yosef said.

B's Grand Adventure
It has been two hundred years since the first contact with aliens from the planet Proxima Centauri. It has been about one hundred and ninety-eight since the Centurians and humans accidentally connected their computer systems together. That same year Centurian virus took over almost all of humanity's computers. This was right about the time a huge solar flare knocked out all communication on Earth. Some time between then and now secrets were revealed, like secret societies, where the nukes were being hidden, and, most importantly, that there were Fae, magic beings, living among humanity all this time. The Proxima Centurians eventually came to the now weakened Earth to 'check on' humanity about fifty years ago. Some say they are here to colonize what's left of the city-states and raiders alike. But now we focus on a young man who has earned the ire of a Centurian colony and a powerful half-Fae named Jormungrand. This young man has chosen the name for himself as B.
