《EEPOS: from rags to godhood》Battle of river Ins part 7

Just before the battle was over Haley was moping in the camp. In the camp were almost no soldiers just their supplies and some wounded warriors and soldiers.
"Damn Rufus," Haley was talking to herself while sitting on a box.
She then started to hear yells at the opposite side of the camp. People were screaming in agony.
Haley walked towards the yells. She saw that a small detachment of cavalry had attacked their camp.
The detachment was only a few hundred soldiers strong, but the camp only had a few soldiers and grey skin warriors themself. Amongst the attackers was Duke Mihalh.
He had finally revealed his divine power. He was controlling a small wave of small bacteria. It attacked everyone Mihalh wanted. When they attached themselves to someone it was impossible to get rid of them. They ate and devoured the person in a matter of seconds to the bone. A gruesome way to die.
Haley started to run away but saw one rider about to attack the tent of the wounded. Haley turned back and right before the rider was about to kill a wounded she threw a spear at him killing the rider instantly.
"Seems we have a fighter here," said the Duke smiling at Haley.
Haley again felt nauseated with the Duke's divine power. Such a vile and powerful aura came from him.
"By the sounds of the battle it seems you have won," The duke said and listened to the cheers coming from the other side of the hill.
"Good. When they get here you will also join with all those other filthy nobles that died on the battlefield," Haley said and smiled at the duke, but also having cold sweat flow on her cheeks.
"Oh, I don't care. I will just get away from this kingdom. You have just have made it so that I have to flee this kingdom, but its faith is anyways sealed," the duke explained.
"What do you mean?" Haley asked confused.
"It doesn't matter," the duke answered back and commanded the wave of bacteria to attack Haley.
Haley ran away from the injured ones. She looked behind her and saw the wounded soldiers were trying to crawl away but were being devoured by the bacteria. Haley looked in horror as the duke just smiled as the patients were being slowly killed.

Haley started to run away, but the wave of bacteria just kept following her. The duke just calmly walked as the wave of bacteria chased her around the camp. The duke seemed to enjoy the cat and mouse chase.
Haley was starting to hyperventilate and get out of breath. The bacteria almost caught her, but they only caught her shoe. She looked as the shoe was devoured by the bacteria like it was being burnt without a flame.
Haley fell to the ground and just when the wave of bacteria was about to fall on her it stopped.
"Very well done. You have survived truly long until now. You truly are amazing even though you do not have any divine powers," duke Mihalh said and clapped his hands.
Haley was frustrated. She knew she had divinity herself but had no way of controlling it whenever she wished. She didn't have enough time to learn how to use her divine powers enough with Tenzin.
"What is your name? I wish to know what is such a valiant girl's name," Duke Mihalh said.
"Haley Fairfax. Sister of Rufus Fairfax," Haley said indicating she was not giving up yet, and threw a knife she had hidden at the duke.
The blob of bacteria caught the knife in mid-air and devoured it. Haley was devastated realizing she just failed. She believed she could have caught the duke off guard by chance.
"You mean sister of THE Rufus. Well. What a lucky person I am. Do not worry. You may die now, but in just some years' time, you will be able to meet your brother. Not maybe by my hands, but you will meet him in the afterlife," Mihalh said and made the swarm of bacteria fall on her.
Haley looked in horror as the bacteria was falling on top of her. If only a small portion of it made contact she would die instantly. She closed her eyes out of fear.

"Never stop moving forward," Harley.

Large crystals formed around Haley and saved her from the bacteria. The duke looked mildly surprised. Haley got up and looked mad at the Duke.
"My brother won't die. AND NEITHER SHALL I!" Haley yelled and made crystal appear and attack the bacteria.

The duke just smiled.
"Uuuuh. It seems you did have some divinity in you. Like brother like sister," Mihalh said.
The crystals formed from thin air on the ground. The large swarm of bacteria was being pushed back as Haley clenched her teeth trying to control her divine power. It was hard and felt as her body was going through painful stress and exhaustion.
The duke realized he was losing and decided to go for the final push to end it. He tried to cover all the crystals and including Haley under a blanket of bacteria. It was thin and started to fall like a small wave devouring anything it came into contact with.
"This is goodbye now. Haley Fairfax," the duke said who was sure of his victory.
Haley lifted his hands to the sky. She started to remember to practices of Tenzin. She cleared her mind. She closed off all senses. Again the light bulb appeared in front of her. She was losing time when she was trying to catch it like before. The blanket of bacteria was about to fall on her. She was almost catching it. At the last moment, she caught it and she felt a huge rush of power.
The entire blanket of bacteria turned into crystals and then vanished into small little sparkles that disappeared into thin air. All the bacteria had been killed in an instant.
The duke looked horrified. He looked at Haley whose eyes were glowing like crystals.
The duke started to run away. He had no more bacteria to control and knew he was no match for Haley.
"I have to get away. I have to get to the emperor as soon as I can," Duke started to scream in panic as he was trying to run away.
Haley didn't chase after him. She just lifted her hand and concentrated.
A large crystal appeared from beneath him piercing him through the abdomen killing the duke instantly.
Haley then looked around at all the cavalrymen that had attacked the camp. She raised her hands up in the air and closed her eyes.
~ ~
In the distance, Rufus and all the rest felt a huge burst of divine power. Rufus looked to behind the hill where he knew the camp and Haley was. He saw a large crystal had formed that could be seen towering even over the hill.
"HALEY!" Rufus yelled and ordered Gwon to ride to the other side of the hill.
~~
When Rufus got there he saw a bunch of royal cavalrymen killed by crystals in all different ways. Some were impaled by crystals. Somewhere inside crystals. Some had completely turned into crystal statues. Even the horses were killed.
The camp was quiet like no one was alive.
Rufus was extremely confused about what had happened, but his only concern was Haley. He then looked at the center where he felt the large divine aura coming from.
He rode there on top of Gwon. They stopped when they saw Haley in the middle just standing. Haley's eyes had turned completely blue, the same blue as the crystals were. Rufus realized that It was Haley where the divine aura was coming from.
Rufus tried to get closer, but Gwon was shaking like he was afraid. Gwon felt the divine aura and refused from fear to get closer to Haley who just stood still and silent.
Rufus walked towards Haley by himself. When he got close enough to Haley she just looked at him like she didn't recognize him anymore. Rufus went and stood in front of the almost lifeless Haley. He then hugged her as tightly as he could.
"I'm sorry I'm late….." Rufus said and embraced Haley.
Haley's eyes started to turn normal. She started to hug Rufus back. The crystals started to disappear slowly and vanish into nothingness.
"What took you so long," Haley said back with a small tear while hugging Rufus back.
The rest of Rufus's friends Doreen, Pema, Edward, and Amala came to see what had just happened. They had seen the large crystals and didn't know what they were. When they got to the top of the hill they just saw a destroyed camp with Rufus and Haley hugging each other as the crystals that had turned to dust sparkling in the wind.
