《EEPOS: from rags to godhood》Battle of river Ins part 5

Edward and Rikard were fighting in the heat of the battle. Long sword clashed with a great sword. Rikard's slashes with his sword were strong enough to cut a building in two, but Edward was matching his father blow for blow. Edward had grown significantly stronger in the grey scale mountains and had trained relentlessly. Still, his father was the strongest person in the kingdom and had been for a long time and that experience started to show.
Rikard started to gain the edge slowly. Rikard's attacks were beginning to become heavier and were forcing Edward to go on the defenses.
The two of them looked at each other both with disgust.
"Just like your mother," Rikard said.
"What did you say?"
"You're just like your mother. Her sword style. Her loyalty. Her weakness," Rikard said provoking Edward.
Edward lunged in with anger. Rikard blocked his attack with his greatsword. Edwards and Rikard's swords were locked together, both pushing at each other looking each other into the eyes. Edward then punched his father in the face. Rikard fell backward with his nose bleeding and missing a couple of teeth
"What the hell are you doing," Rikard yelled.
"Enough talk. Time to fight for real!" Edward yelled and attacked.
Edward started to fight dirty. Using not just his sword, but also punching and kicking and pushing Rikard when given the chance.
"Look at yourself. And you cause yourself a swordman using these kinds of techniques," Rikard said to Edward.
"I said enough talk!" Edward yelled back and kept on attacking.
Rikard then swung his sword cutting tens of soldiers around him. The blast sends a blast of air that Edward tried to block. He then cut the blast and swung his sword the same way Rikard had causing also a blast of air that flew towards Rikard. He looked shocked as Edward had used his own technique against him and wondered where he had learned it.

The blast made Rikard fly away from the battle. Edward gave chase not letting his father a time to catch his breath.
~~
Rikard got back up from the ground where he fell. The blast of pure air pressure coming from just a single slash of a sword was a technique that required immense power from the swordman. In a way, he was angry that his son had used it. In a way, he was proud that his won had used it. He realized that his own son was indeed powerful. He spat out blood and a couple of his teeth.
"Even from the grave you still annoy me, woman....."
"You didn't think it was over?" Edward said to Rikard.
Both of them were now alone and not on the battlefield. Rikard smiled.
"Tell me, my son. Do you fight for revenge or for someone else?"
Edward smiled.
"I fight for my friend and my friend told me to do what I want. AND I WANT REVENGE FOR MY MOTHER. FOR MY WHOLE LIFE!"
Rikard smiled also.
"I think it is time to settle this son," Rikard said.
"I said no talk. I am not in a mood for a duel where we yell to each other about our ideologies. We will have a good old fight and one of us dies," Edward said back waiting for Rikard to be ready.
Rikard kept smiling. He got ready. Both were ready.
Edward instigated the fight by attacking with his sword. The earth rumbled with the two great swordsmen dueling to the death.
The long sword was much smaller than the greatsword what made its attacks weaker, but the attacks came way faster.
Both slashed the air sending a pressure of air at each other. When these projectile weapons clashed it created a smaller crater on the soil.

Edward used all of the sword not just the blade including the hilt when he attacked Rikard. He sometimes with his gauntlet on his right arm grabbed his sword like it was a spear and thrust with. He kept on using everything at his disposal to fight his father and fighting with the style his mother taught him.
The fight raged on until both swordsmen were dead tired. They both knew that fight was going to end soon.
Both struck with their swords as hard as possible simultaneously. The clash sounded like a building falling to the ground. The immense strength of the strike was too much for both of them and both of them lost their grips on their swords which flew away.
Rikard was going to pick up his sword, but Edward grabbed onto him. Edward then proceeded to punch him as hard as he can. Rikard looked first confused because he thought they would fight with swords, but Edward just kept fighting with his fist.
Rikard then also started to fight with his fist.
Both were fighting now a slugfest with both having their faces all bruised up noses busted. Both had their cheekbones were hanging in by the skin and had a black eye.
Edward wanted to end this fight right here and now
Edward then tackled Rikard to the grown. He went to the back of Rikard and placed his forearm under the chin of Rikard. He started to choke out his father with a rear-naked choke. Edward crunched his teeth trying to squeeze as strong as possible cutting the bloodstream to Rikard's brain.
Rikard started to squirm trying to get out of the choke. He kicked and punched and tried to get the hand from under his chin. Slowly the struggling of Rikard slowed. Rikard started to stop squirming and went completely still. Edward kept still coking him to make sure he would die. For thirty seconds he squeezed all he could. Edward then let go. He turned on his back away from the cold body of Rikard.
He caught some breath and then looked like he forgot something.
"Oh almost forgot," Edward said and got up.
He went and got his sword and walked back to his father's corpse.
"As mother always said. Make sure you killed your enemy," Edward said and placed the side of his sword on the throat of his father.
He pushed the edge in and sliced off the head of Rikard. After he made sure he was dead he fell on his butt and breathed heavily. Edward trembled and then puked on the ground. He then again took a deep breath and gave a large smile.
"I don't know why people say that revenge is not worth it because I HAVEN'T EVER FELT MORE ALIVE THAN NOW!" Edward yelled in triumph in killing his father.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
