《EEPOS: from rags to godhood》Seng's hunting ground part 2
Advertisement
The next morning when the sunlight finally hit inside the large canyon they were able to rest. They had stayed up the entire night. There was no sign of the Seng anywhere.
They walked a little bit around the forest from their spots where they were standing for the whole night. There were tracks all around where they had been standing the whole night. They had realized from the tracks on the ground that Seng had been circling them constantly. Not letting them rest once.
They started to follow the tracks and see if they could track down the Seng. The tracks didn't go deep into the forest.
"Look at this," Doreen pointed at the tracks.
The tracks had completely disappeared. It looked like the Seng had just jumped into the air and flown away.
"Are you shitting me? It can fly also," Edward said looking at the tracks.
"Most likely not, but it might have some kind of divine power," Doreen said.
"Divine power?!" Amala asked shocked.
"Perfectly possible. I have heard about some monsters in the wild in the kingdom attacking people. Some creatures are even born and mutated from divine wind that blows through the universe. All kinds of creatures habit our world and even more in the universe. Divine power is not just for intellectual beings. It is in everything and it can manifest, with a small possibility though in a wild beast also."
"Shit, well isn't this wonderful. So we might be dealing with a flying, fire breathing monster that might even fire bolts of lightning in its ass," cursed a frustrated Edward.
The situation didn't look good at all.
"We don't know yet. Anyways we should split up into two groups. The Seng has an advantage in the dark, but during the daytime, we have a better chance of finding it if we split up," Amala explained her plan to hunt down the beast.

"Well, what if it attacks us when we are separated?" Rufus asked.
"We are not just fighting against the beast, but also against time. Let us get back here before dark."
Rufus, Doreen, Amala, and three of the Dechen tribesmen were one group. Edward, Pema, and another three Dechen tribesmen were the second group. Rufus's group took the east side of the canyon and Edwards' group the west side.
Both were trying to find some kind of tracks worth following. The tracks on the snow made it possible to track a normal creature, but the Seng was no normal creature or beast. The tracks stopped here and there and there was little to no logic in the tracks.
"Crap. I feel like that thing is just messing with us," Edward said kicking the snow.
"It most likely is also looking at us right now. Stalking us and seeing what we do," Pema said and was trying to see any movement.
Edward looked around and felt like he was being watched.
~ ~
After three hours none of them were able to track it or get any leads. It was getting dark soon and they all had to rush back to the original campsite. The day hadn't been fruitful to either of the group. Edwards group was heading back to the camp.
Something watching them from behind a large rock as Edward's group was walking back to their camp. It looked at Edward who was the rear guard of the group. It looked that Edward was not paying much attention. He was yawning and holding his large sword on his shoulder and seemed very bored.
The creature eyeing Edward saw its opening. It sprinted from behind the rock attacking Edward from behind him. It lunged in with razor-sharp teeth trying to aim at Edward.

Just before it made contact Pema stepped back, turned his hands into strong carbon.
Edward got startled. The other tribesmen also looked back. They saw the beast. It was a large lion probably the size of an entire horse carriage with fur white as snow. It had a turquoise blue mane and bright yellow eyes. Its teeth were large and had large claws as well. It was about to bite Edward at his neck, but Pema stopped it placing his arm between the beast and Edward.
The beast was unable to bite off the hands of Pema. The teeth scratching at Pema's carbon arm sounded like metal scraping against metal. The beast looked confused and jumped back.
"Is that?" Edward said.
"Yeah. It is the Seng," Pema said and took his fighting stance.
The rest of the three tribesmen also prepared to fight.
"By the way. You didn't deliberately use me as bait having me walk behind the group?" Edward asked and looked at Pema.
Pema didn't answer.
"Oh, you motherf.....!"

Beyond the Horizon's Eye
It is less than two weeks after the event known as the Flux Causality, and two days after the Grand Council has put forth the edict demanding the immediate retrieval and deletion of all Stringhoppers. Finding such Travelers, however, is proving more difficult than expected. A young boy and his sister find themselves violently taken from their world to another, and soon thereafter are forcibly separated. Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. I do hope you enjoy the story I shall endeavor to tell. ~ Average post between 1000 - 3000 words. This is a work in progress, and will be edited and adjusted over time. If you’re interested in something a bit more GameLIT, you might want to check out my second story on Royal Road, “The Dawnfire Archives”. My newest story is a combination of both genres, but with a female main character at the helm. Feel free to check out "The Card Thief of Culnivar"!

Chains
Eric Bane is one tough thug, but even he's not immortal. After a deadly ambush, he falls unconscious only to awaken in a castle preparing to meet a king. He was apparently summoned to a parallel world of fantasy to act as a hero who wields one of six Divine Weapons. However, being unfamiliar with video games, he doesn't see the new world the same way the other five do. After being framed for rape, Eric ends up hobbling out of the city with no money, no party, and draining motivation. However, if there's one thing that Samson is good at, it's spite. If the world is going to kick him to the curb, then he's going to beat the shit out of the next person he sees to get back on track. As Eric grows stronger through a natural progression, he slowly discovers the hidden history of the world and the dark secrets of the Church of the Trinity. And while some might wait for the right moment to strike, Samson isn't one for patience. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is a story that I've already gotten pretty far with, but I want to release it slowly over a few days to see what the critics say. I haven't finished it, but I've got a general idea where I want to go with it. Maturity for violence, sexual themes, and slavery. No outright sex or nudity, and there is no cruelty exhibited towards slaves. Tell me how you like it.
