《EEPOS: from rags to godhood》Sofia the city of flying ships part 4

"Doreen! What happened," Rufus yelled and ran to her.
Doreen was completely unconscious. Haley started to take care of her immediately.
"Wooow. Look at that. She really flew from far away," Kassim said jokingly.
"She is our friend and she needs our help," Rufus yelled.
~~
Kassim took all of them to his ship. The red fox ship's medic was healing Doreen in the infirmary while they waited for results.
Luckily for everyone, Doreen was not anymore on death's door. Rufus stayed beside the bed waiting until Doreen would wake up.
"Well, I was willing to help you since you seemed like good honest people. I still need to know what is going on," Kassim said to all of them.
Haley and Edward went to explain the situation of who they were, that they were gangsters and that Doreen was part of their gang. They did not say anything about the prince or anything about the politics of the kingdom thinking including him would be too dangerous.
"Haaaaa…. Gangsters eh….Well doesn't matter does it," said Kassim.
"Wha…we are gangsters. How the hell you can be so casual?" asked Rufus who heard the entire conversation.
"Hahahahaha! See. You may be gangsters, but obviously, you are not bad people. I will not get involved with politics of the country, but I won't deny help from people in need," Kassim said and laughed.
They were amazed by Kassim who was so kind to them even though he had only known them for a day.
Doreen then woke up.
"Where am I….Rufus is that you. Did you guys save me?" asked a headache-ridden Doreen.
"Yeah. We found you wounded. We brought you on a friend's gravity ship." explained Rufus.
"You gave us a quick scare there lady," said Edward.
"Argh. I must be hell and you must be the devil to torture me. What could be the other explanation to see your ugly face now?" Doreen said with a disgusted look.
"Shut up…You old lady."
"Thank you, Rufus. You really saved me," Doreen thanked.
"I damn it carried you here you lady. Thank me too!" Edward yelled back.
Doreen then explained the situation. She explained about the cannons and the warehouse. The enemies that were guarding it and everything that had happened after. Even Kassim followed the story out of sheer curiosity.
"We have to destroy them. We cannot let one of our enemies own such weapons," explained Doreen while still being injured.

"How do you plan on doing it? It seems strong people are guarding the warehouse," Edward asked.
"I don't know. They were strong. They also had three berserks guarding the warehouse."
"Well, I have a suggestion. I might not usually consider getting involved in another world's problems, BUUUUT I might reconsider my own rules. All rules can be bent with enough money," smiled Kassim and winked.
"I will help you deal at least with the berserks. As payment I'll take those cannons from you since it doesn't matter are they destroyed or out of this world," Kassim offered.
"Are you sure you can fight the berserks? Will you bring your crewmen with you?" asked Doreen.
"No. They are my crewmen. They don't have to risk their lives for such a venture. It will be a cakewalk for me anyway. I might even teach you a few tricks. Edward and Rufus just have to be able to take care of the two others."
"I guess we have no other choice then," Doreen said.
"Why the hell again you decide for us," thought Edward and Haley at the same time.
~ ~
The next morning Rufus, Edward, Haley, and Kassim were walking towards the warehouse. Edward, Haley, and Rufus were all getting ready for a tough battle, but Kassim was looking casual wearing his colorful robe and still wearing all his flashy gold jewelry.
"Aren't you at all afraid of what is coming next?" asked Haley.
"Why would I be afraid of some goat fucker…. Hahaha hahaha," Laughed Kassim.
They again sneaked into the warehouse. Soon the two young people were there to stop them.
"Oh. We seem to be very popular recently right. Yesterday the Olympian woman and today another colorful rat tag of different assortment of people," said the young man with a golden earring.
With the young man came three berserks and the young woman with a unique haircut and a golden nose ring. The young woman also wore metal knuckles that had sharp spikes.
They were all getting ready to fight except for Kassim. He walked casually to the side and sat on a bench inside the warehouse.
"What the hell old man? We had a deal!" yelled Edward.
"No worries. I am sure to do my share. That doesn't mean I have to be standing to do it," said Kassim while opening a bottle of booze.
At that moment the man with the earring attacked. He plunged with an open palm towards Rufus. A purple glow came from her hand like a bubbly foam. He just managed to miss Rufus.

Edward went to swing his sword toward the woman, but the woman quickly hit with a fast jab at Edwards's face. She was jumping like a rubber ball and had a boxer's stance with both hands up guarding her face. She threw a straight right hand from three meters away. Her hand stretched like rubber and gave fast snap punches. Edward tried to hit her with his sword, but she was able to dodge, by bouncing away.
"Shit! They all have divine powers."
"This is not going to be easy," said Rufus.
The man with the earring used a weird martial arts style and was able to hit Rufus on his hand. It didn't hurt Rufus, but a purple substance started to form under Rufus's skin on the part where he had been hit. His hand started to sting, and Rufus fell to his knees.
"Seems like you feel the sting. My divine power allows me to use poison attacks. One-touch from me, you're dead in ten minutes. Two touches, five minutes. Three….one minute," said the man with the golden earring.
Rufus just went to attack and missed by a long shot. He instead hit a wall and it completely turned into sawdust.
"Oh…seems like they are pretty good," said Kassim while drinking his booze.
Edward was trying to catch the woman who was out-boxing him by bouncing all over like a spring. Her punches could come from far away and snap at you fast. She had a divine power to turn her body into rubber enabling her to bounce all around and throw whip-fast punches from relatively far.
The three berserks started to attack Haley. Haley dodged the attack from one of them and countered with a kick. The kick though had no power in it, so it didn't even faze the berserk. It then grabbed Haley by her feet and threw her on the ground.
"Weren't you supposed to handle these berserks?!" yelled an angry Haley at Kassim.
Haley realized she was completely outmatched by the three berserks. She was about to be killed, but a golden sword floating in the air blocked the attack. The golden sword turned into a molten gold form and then turned into many small golden daggers that attacked the berserk. It was still managing to stand somehow even though it was stabbed many times.
The one who controlled the golden substance was Kassim. He was controlling it while still drinking his booze and sitting on the bench. Kassim had a divine power to control gold so he had turned all the gold from his jewelry into different forms. He could also move the gold around like it was floating in the air.
"Now, now. I am a man of my word," said Kassim while the molten gold floated next to her.
"You die now you slave cat," roared the wounded berserk.
Without even batting an eye the molten gold turned into a spear and punctured the berserk through his skull. Kassim hadn't even lowered his booze bottle.
The gold then turned into five smaller daggers. They flew so fast that a person's eyes couldn't follow them. They quickly cut up the rest of the two berserks killing them instantly. He then started to continue drinking on the bench like he had no care in the world.
No one realized that he was so powerful. He could easily fight toe to toe with even Dorothy, thought Edward. Even the two enemies were intimidated by her.
"I hope it doesn't matter I killed your mercenaries. I promise I won't intrude anymore. You may proceed," Kassim said like he was watching an entertaining show.
"Hahahaha. You are funny, you red furball. I won't hold it against you. Let us battle next," yelled the young man with the earring.
The golden earring on the young man started to pull away. The young man started to yell as it stung his ear and came off forcibly. It then floated into the hand of Kassim who put it then into his pocket.
"Don't get ahead of yourself. And just so you know, I have my money on the other guys and I never put money on a nonprofitable thing," Kassim said glaring at the young man.
The fight continued. Both Edward and Rufus were being outclassed. Both of them were simply too slow for the two enemies.
"Hey, both of you. You are using your divine powers wrong. Don't make this boring for me," yelled Kassim.
"You must learn to think creatively with your powers. Only your imagination limits your ability," Kassim explained.

Arnar the Dungeon
Arnar is a dungeon core. Everybody knows dungeons are evil, man-eating entities hell-bent on killing and absorbing whatever wanders inside their depths. The problem is no one ever told him that. Well, the truth is no one ever told him anything and he refused powers-that-be when they tried to make him into the proper dungeon. That should teach them not resurrect people into dungeon cores. Now it is too late. He has a perfect plan to become the best dungeon on the continent and nothing will stand in his way. Especially something called common sense. Disclaimer of sorts: I am non-native English writer that used to write mostly for himself. After my last computer decided to die on me taking all my works with it I lost the desire to write for quite a long time. This is my attempt to go find motivation to write again as this was my favourite hobby. The idea is to be held accountable. As for being non-native, I don't believe that should be a major issue as I feel my proficiency in English to be sufficient enough to not be too much of the distraction. That said, be forewarned that the rules governing punctuation are beyond my grasp. All I can do is try not to completely suck at that. As mentioned this is an attempt to motivate me to write again so any message, encouragement or constructive criticism will go long way. The cover was created with the help of http://fantasynamegenerators.com/emblem-creator.php I hope you will enjoy my story.
8 144The Priest of Genes
Meet Seth, acolyte in the Church of Virtue. He’ll be a Priest like his father soon, he just knows it. Sure he didn’t inherit his mother’s preaching power, but he doesn’t mind being the secondary priest at whatever temple he is assigned to. Just as long as he has a library. Meet this genetics textbook. Hmm, that doesn’t belong here. It must have come from somewhere far away, I guess something happened to its owner. I’m sure a studious young man who likes healing could go far with this information, whether he wants to or not. This is my first time really writing anything, so I hope you like it! Please let me know if I make any mistakes; I have a new R&D tech job at a genomics company, so I probably don’t edit as much as some people. I’m shooting for two thousand-ish word chapters released on Sundays, since none of the webnovels I read ever seem to update that day. Underserved Market! Genre is fantasy, possibly progression fantasy. Maybe a tiny bit litRPG if you wait a while and squint really hard, but that’s the most I’m prepared to claim. Hedged my bets on the content warnings, nothing that bad. Cover art from A. W. Gelman

8 178Grimm
Grimm is alone a lot, his parents aren't the responsible type. His life changes when someone else's ends. This author is bad at writing synopsis.Just a story I've been working on. Its also my first one so if you see any errors do feel free to point them out.
