《EEPOS: from rags to godhood》The assassins of the green twin mantis gang part 2

One of the assassins attacked Edward and Doreen who were still arguing from behind with a dagger. Rufus quickly intercepted him by placing his palm on the assassin's head. It immediately exploded killing the man instantly.
"Guys, sorry to bother you, BUT I THINK WE HAVE A BIGGER ISSUE RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!" Rufus yelled.
"See what happened, Ana?"
"I sure did, Ene."
"We can not let him touch us," Ana and Ene said together.
Ene transformed into a large sword and was picked up by Ana. The sword was at least two times larger than her who then lunged in to attack them. Doreen intercepted her with her golden shield saving the other two.
Ene then transformed back to a human, but Ana in turn turned into a weapon and was grabbed by Ene. She attacked again moving to the other side of the three, but Doreen again moved into position and blocked her with her shield.
This kept happening for a while with Ana and Ene rotating who was the weapon and who was the wielder with Doreen blocking every attack.
Meanwhile, Edward and Rufus kept fighting the assassins who were surrounded them. The assassins were no gangsters or ordinary soldiers. They moved almost like one unit and were extremely skilled.
When one of them struck the others covered him, by throwing daggers. The one who was attacking would then switch with another one constantly changing the rhythm of the battle.
Ana and Ene stopped their relentless attacks.
"What kind of power is that?" they asked together from Doreen.
"As long as I am wielding my shield I can protect everything. My shield tells me where an attack is coming and it moves my body automatically to the place I am needed. Only I can wield this shield and spear."
"Oh, that is handy. Well then, let's see what happens if we increase the speed," they said at the same time and stopped smiling.
The attacks started to come from everywhere lightning fast. Whenever Doreen tried to lunge in with her spear the twin who was in a human form changed to a weapon and vice versa. Doreen was starting to be pushed back. She wasn't able to move as fast as the twins.

The shield predicted where the attack would come, but she couldn't move her body as fast as the shield would have wanted her to. Slowly the twins started to make small cuts here and there on Doreen's body.
"You lasted longer than I thought," said Ana
"You did, better than I thought," said Ene
"Yes, you did do well for an immigrant," they said together.
Doreen didn't seem to care for the insult. She was out of breath and bleeding slightly from all over her body.
"Do not worry. I am sure you will meet the prince in the afterlife real soon," the twins said together preparing for the final attack.
Rufus again came and saved Doreen, by making the ground beneath them explode with his divine power. The twins were able to dodge it, but Rufus was able to carry Doreen out of harm's way. Doreen looked embarrassed having to be saved by the same people she previously ridiculed.
Rufus on the other hand looked at the twins.
The twins attacked him but Rufus was able to dodge. Even though he didn't have much fighting and battle experience his skills grew rapidly. It was like Rufus had a natural gift for fighting. Even Edward noticed Rufus's growth as he was fighting the other assassins.
Rufus himself didn't try to attack even ones. He just tried to read the movements of the twins and wait for the right time to attack. He waited for the right moment and then it came.
Rufus struck the weapon as it was about to hit him. The weapon exploded and turned into guts and blood. The head of Ana flew through the air and Ene looked at her sister's head flying in the air.
The rest of the assassins froze and immediately started to disperse and flee.
Ene started to cry like a child and ran like a small child towards the head of Ene. She cried out for her sister and hugged the only body part that remained.

Rufus, Doreen, and Edward were all surprised at how one of the twins hard turned in a second from a cold-blooded killer to a small frail child. Rufus felt bad because it looked to him like he had killed just a small kid.
"Anaaaaa, Anaaaaa, don't leave me, please. Big sister will otherwise get mad. I need you."
Then a slightly older woman with scars all over her body came to the scene walking casually past everyone. She was wearing a leather jacket with her hands in her pocket. Her hair was the same color as the Milene twins but was cut completely out from one side.
When Ene saw her, she was too scared to move or even cry anymore. She just looked helplessly at this unknown woman.
"Big sis….I…I…I am sor…"
She kicked Ene in her stomach and then started to continue kicking her on the ground. It looked like the woman had no emotion doing that to a child who didn't even try to guard her face.
Rufus then dashed forward. He wasn't able to watch such ruthless behavior even though it was towards an enemy. The woman with ease dodged Rufus and then kicked him upwards and sent him flying three meters up in the air.
All this she did effortlessly while having her hands in her pocket. Edward also came to attack the woman but was repelled easily as well. The woman grabbed Edwards's sword from the hilt preventing him from attacking and then punched him right on the abdomen making Edward puke slightly.
"Who the hell is this monster?" asked a hurt Edward.
"I don't know. There was no intel on her. We knew the Milene twins were the leaders of the assassins and the green twin mantis gang, but no intel on her," Doreen explained.
The woman looked at all of them and gave a smile.
"I congratulate you on winning against my little sisters. I am Dorothy. The big sister of the Milene twins," said the woman then stomped on Ene's head and smashed it like a pumpkin,
"That's impossible. We knew that there was once a sister, but she died during childbirth," explained Doreen.
"Well not really, since here I am. That is how it is being born in a family of assassins. From children, we are trained for one purpose. To kill, and what a better way to strengthen the family lineage than to have the first-born child falsely declared dead."
"Why would she do that," asked Rufus in disbelief.
"Genius idea I think. Me doing the killing in darkness and letting the other family members live the high life without having to dirty their hands. And if I was caught or something no one could connect me to the family.
"Being groomed in darkness to be the best assassin for the family. Being able to learn all the skills needed. Too bad is that if you train your guard dog to be too strong it will bite its owner. My sisters played their role well, being the head of my operation and looking like they ran the show," Dorothy explained.
Two of her hands then turned into blades as well as one of her feet. She attacked first Edward who blocked the attack with his sword. Then Doreen came to back him up attacking with her spear. Finally, Rufus also joined the fight.
Unfortunately, Dorothy was way too fast for all of them and blocked, countered, and parried all their attacks. It was like looking at a master chef showing off his knife skills. The three of them knew they had no chance of beating her. She was way too powerful for all of them.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
