《Blacksmith's Descent Through Dungeon》Chapter 6: Finding the exit

Alice leads their journey, unlike before the path seems to be endless Yuuto could feel that they have direction now. It's true that most of his problems are now solved, however some things are still weighing on his mind. How can they escape the dungeon?
"Alice, how are we going to exit this floor? Are we supposed to go to each floor and clear it" he asks.
She looks at him with pitiable eyes as if she is looking at a child who is lost.
"Please don't look at me like" He sweatdrop
"Of course we're not going to do that. There is a teleporter every tenth floor starting from the thirtieth floor. Thankfully we are one of those floors" she said "Didn't you know these? " Alice peeked at her.
Of course Yuuto didn't know this. Afterall he is someone who focused himself in tending the weapon shop of his teacher and training he called part of his smiting to him. All his knowledge about dungeons only comprises the first upto fifth floor.
He can just turn his gaze away from her.
"If you are going to ask about how we are going to reach the exit, I will explain it"
'Bullseyes' she had predicted what was in his mind. She stopped walking and said.
"We are going to all of them"
"What? can you repeat that"
She sighs "I said we are going to evade them, considering that we are in the low levels and I or you can't fight. That is all what we left to us or you want to de in here"
Yuuto couldn't believe what she was saying. Evading them all, it's kind of hard for them to do it. The monsters in this floor are what you can call a true monster and escaping them is kinda impossible, take in for example the behemoth.
But…
If alic says that they can escape them, then she should supposedly have evidence that can support the right.

'Please don't let me die,' he grimaced.
Alice said earlier that they would take half a day, but Yuuto felt like that they would have taken more time than that. Many of the paths they will take would end up in a dead end even with the map they can just follow momentarily. The mana interference of the crystals made the map lose its projection several times. However, what made their time more harder is the monsters.
thanks to Alice skill, monster perception she is able to note the path where the monsters would gather and the ones that are wandering around. However, sometimes bottleneck paths are blocked by monsters. Having no time to stay idle, Alice and Yuuto are dragged to fight.
Yuuto, who had only experience in surface floors, is shocked, amazed and scared at the same time at what he encounters. Six-legged dogs, hollow spiders with boneheads, and even large termites, those monsters crawled the dungeon. In terms of evading and fighting there is not much difference as one simple mistake can lead to your death. However if monsters suddenly notice their presence, they would instantly change their battle plan. Alice would first attack the incoming monster then Yuuto would finish it with his shortsword. Thanks to the unnatural superior power of Alice, where she could even one hit the monster, Yuuto didn't have a problem.
'I still can't believe that Behemoth didn't go down even with just a little rest. Alice is certainly powerful. ' he thought.
Not only the monsters came to stop them but also dungeon traps. Alice didn't have a hard time evading but on the other hand Yuuto seems to attract these traps. No matter how much he tries to evade, he would still fall for it. He almost falls into an acid pit trap, pincer attacks from walls converging in their path, and almost getting eaten by a gigantic sandworm(though in this case a dungeon worm). If not for Alice who will pull him at the nick of time, Yuuto surely could have died many times by now. He could just wryly smile at her.

Though that grueling is not important right now as they are near the teleporter now.
"Finally" she clenched her fist and raised it up. "we are near the teleporter"
"Even if you said it like that you never told me what it looks like"
"huh? Did I never tell you that. I keep forgetting that you are not an adventurer" she tilted her head.
He didn't know if she was being serious right now or being sarcastic, for a moment he felt a slight tingle of anger. He can just let out a sigh, to the truth that she spoke.
Alice began explaining "Basically It was just just large magic circle located few meters in front of the staircase"
'what a convenient placing' he thought.
For adventurers who spent exploring the dungeon for hours, teleporter are sure convenient, not only they need not to climb the levels one again and fight monsters, they just need to stand in the circle and they will instantly be transfer back at the surface levels.
"Alice," Yuuto called her "I think something is wrong on your map. Is this supposed to be the exit?"
Alice who are diligently look at her map instantly replied "Yes, of course"
Instead of a staircase , something opposite appeared in his view. A part with large two doors with intricate gold border designs act as a gate in their way. A completely foreign existence compared to the stoney staircase that he is familiar with. To compare them is to compare charcoal to platinum.
"Are you sure? This is not really not a staircase I am expecting"
"How could y-" she finally looked ahead, her eyes suddenly bulged "What what's this goddamn door is doing here! " she shouted.
"What do you mean?"
She pointed at the door, with her trembling fingers "That door is the door of the boss" she grabbed Yuuto and shook him "Do you hear me boss room!" she exclaimed.
There is no need to shove it in his face, Yuuto heard it clearly. It seems that their situation escalated to such a degree that both of them didn't expect that this would happen. It also got to the nerves of Alice, that she just outburst on the spot.
Yuuto tried to calm down Alice, but what he got instead is her flailing arms.
'This somewhat reminds me of something.'
"Alice!" He slapped her.
Upon feeling the stinging pain from his slap, Alice stops moving. She rubs her cheeks and looks at him. 'Why did you slap me?' Her gaze practically says it all. It took a quiet while before she finally calmed down. She put down her hand and took a deep breath.
"I guess we have no choice, we are going to camp here."
"You mean right here, in the front of boss rooms?" he said in a distress tone.
"If you are worried about monsters attacking, don't worry about it. The mana interference of the boss will intervene any monster that tries to come here."
It's true that Yuuto is worried that they will really camp here in the front of the boss room, A BOSS ROOM. However, he is more concerned about Alice right now. Yes, she is an adventurer and Yuuto didn't know how long she has been in the work. She probably has tons more experience than him but that doesn't mean that she doesn't feel anxious and scared. He wants to help her but he doesn't know how, he could just look at her with worries. However, his worries are not their priority right now, not until at least she truly calmed down and ready for discussion.
"I see… " he replied.
