《A Larper Gets Isekai'd to a Fantasy World》Chapter 9

Aithne leads Clyde to the bed, she lies down, pulling Clyde down with her. She wraps her arms around him, smiling up at him, she embraces him.
Clyde can feel her breasts on his chest.
Boobs, boobs, boobs bounced around in his head. I can’t believe this is happening.
Blushing, Clyde slightly moves his hand over her side. She gasps from the touch of his cold hand.
Aithne then grabs the bottom of his shirt and pulls it off, exposing his bare chest. She runs her fingers down his chest. Clyde’s heart pounds through his chest.
“This is my first time… I haven’t even kissed a girl before,” he whispers.
Sitting up, Aithne smiles. “I’ll fix that,” she whispers back, as she closed her eyes and leaned in for a kiss. Her soft lips touch Clyde’s ever so gently.
After a moment, she pulls back slowly and slips off the bed. Stumbling over to the nightstand where two wine bottles are, Aithne picks one of them up, downs it before tottering for the other. She swirls the bottle a bit before it slips out of her hand, and clatters to the floor.
"Whoops!" Aithne covers her mouth.
Clyde stares in awe. Did she really drink two bottles by herself? With her weight, she must be hammered right about now.
"It's okay! It was empty."
She saunters to the bed, laying on her back, she puts her arms out towards Clyde.
“Come here, Raine.”
Taken aback, Clyde remains silent. Raine… That’s her late husband. Am I like some type of replacement, just because I look like him?
“Come here, now.”
He obeys the command and climbs over her softly, looking down at her.
Tears form in her eyes. “I’m so happy you’re here.”
She reaches up and touches his face.

“I’ve waited for so, so long. I missed you so much.”
Aithne pulls Clyde down, holding him closely to her.
This is wrong…
He tries to resist slightly, but she holds him tighter.
“Let me just hold you for a while, please. I know you hate it, but it’s been so long.”
Clyde reluctantly gives in, allowing her to embrace him fully. He lays there with her a while, until he notices that she has fallen asleep. She snores softly, as Clyde gently shifts out of her grasp and crawls out of the bed.
After grabbing his shirt, he sneaks toward the door and heads out of the room while putting it on. He takes care to shut the door softly.
Airi and Meri are standing outside of the room; curiously, there is a slight glimmer coming from behind Meri.
“Your room is this way,” Airi states, as she turns to walk down the corridor. They walk together to a small room at the very end of the hall.
There is a small bed, desk, and armoire. The room is plain, with no decor to admire.
Stepping into the room, Clyde remarks over his shoulder, “Just so you know, nothing happ-”
The door slams shut behind him.
A huge sigh blows past Clyde’s lips. “What the heck is going on! I can’t even make out what type of situation I am in.”
Absentmindedly, he inspects the room- opening the armoire and pulling out its drawers, checking inside the desk. They’re all empty. He sits down on the bed and puts his head in his hands. “What am I even doing?”
Yanking one of the pillows from the bed, Clyde shoves his face into it to let out a frustrated scream before falling backward across the hard mattress.

“Will, what would you do, if you were in my shoes right now?”
Clyde mimics his voice, as if Will was sitting next to him, “Pull up your big boy pants and kick it into gear. This place is fucking awesome! It has magic, and you have a hot woman trying to get in your pants. So what if you’re a slave, and she is a widow? Look on the bright side! You also have two maids that are angelic eye candy with wings! LITERAL ANGELS, DUDE. Plenty of weebs would die to be in your shoes right now. You got isekai'd- be happy!”
Clyde replies to himself, “Yeah, great, but I didn’t ask for this. I wanted to come back and LARP with you again, and tell you all about my time in Europe!”
Mimicking Will again, he gets snarky. “Hm, let me guess: you saw some old buildings made of bricks. Oh, wow. So cool.”
Clyde shakes his head. “God, you’re a dick even in my imitation of you.” He chuckles a little.
Hugging the pillow, he rolls over in bed, tears forming in his eyes.
I miss everyone… but, I promise I’ll try to live my best here.
He slips into sleep.
~
In the morning, Clyde wakes up to his door creaking open. Groggy, he rolls over to look up at Airi standing over him.
Visibly confused, he mumbles a “good morning?”
“Wake up, we are going into town.” Airi throws fresh clothes in his face. “I brought these, put them on.”
He sits up. “Thanks”
Clyde looks at Airi, and Airi looks at him.
“Uh, a little bit of privacy, please?”
She blows a snort. “Why? I’ve already seen it. Well, barely. It’s a wee bit too little to see.”
Thrusting out of bed, Clyde pushes her out of the room as she drags her heels, slamming the door shut.
“What is with her?!”
He pulls on the clothes in a huff and opens the door, only to see that Airi is bent over, clearly trying to look through the keyhole.
“This is sexual harassment.” Clyde sputters.
“Mhm, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she pivots, as she turns around. “Follow me- we have things to do today.”
Clyde follows her begrudgingly, weaving throughout the estate. Upon finally reaching the side door, Airi picks up a box before proceeding out and down the road that leads away from the estate.
“Where are we going?” Clyde asks, shoving his hands in his pockets.
“Into town. Our Lady has given me instructions to find you a profession and get you fitted for boots, since your current shoes are unacceptable.”
He looks down at his old, ruggedly and stained Converse high-tops, with the whites scuffed and sides blown out.
Clyde nods in agreement. “Fair enough.”

Waking Up
The story of Larin the Builder in the aftermath of Awakening This short story is the epilogue of Awakening, the first book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. This epilogue is a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers between books without being necessary to the main storyline.Waking Up follows the story of Larin, who is alive but unconscious after her ordeal in the Nine Hells. She awakens in A'lara City a few days later and recuperates under the steadfast care of her repentant friend Jorn.As she reacclimates to her waking state, Larin struggles with her gruesome memories of the Hells and her decision to conceal them from Jorn. This story answers the question, Is Larin all right? with a resounding yes, and some storms on the horizon. It also raises the question, What happened to her down there? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Falling Down, about Larin's ordeal in the Nine Hells. Praise for Waking Up and Falling Down: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between Waking Up and Falling Down is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well.-- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★
