Chapter 90: Female White-Black
On the Tired Can, Captain Capua Ayala was on her seat in front of the monitors, her crew of 20 ex-criminals was in their positions. Everything was ready for the battle.
She was glad that she listened to her instincts on the last Track. She sensed that something was amiss. The rest of the ships thought that the Green Twinkle used Wild Warp technology to lose their followers.
But she had a feeling that they went towards the restricted border. And luckily for her, she was right, and a week-long journey paid off. She finally caught up with the green giant.
Capua sent an ultimatum knowing that the green giant was not equal to her ship in terms of firepower, but was genuinely surprised to see that they were willing to fight.
"Shoot gently, we don't want to kill our monkeys. Just make sure that they will use up all of their energy on the defensive shield. It does not matter how long we stay here, they can't escape anyway. There are no Tracks around." Capua Ayala knew the vicinity due to her smuggling orders.
"In 3...2...1...fire from every cannon!"
On the Green Twinkle Captain Seaghoul yelled orders to his crew.
"Even if you have to break that damn door, bring O'rmon here!" Everyone on the ship, except O'rmon heard Safo's lie followed by his comments during the war.
When Safo managed to kill the male White-Black the crew and team sighed in relief. But soon their glee was shattered into a million pieces, the female reacted to the death of her partner. Safo was in trouble.
At the same time, the ship of Captain Capua Ayala opened fire. 3 Plasma cannons worked in sync with 2 cannons with the neutron star energy, against 2 old-fashion canons loaded with explosive cannonballs.
"Achraf are you done, we are under attack." Voiced the obvious. The ship had been shaken by the sheer pressure of the short but non-stop energy blasts.
"A little more, almost there." Achraf was integrating his experimental software into the ship's system. Installation and appliance would take time, which Green Twinkle didn't have.
Dost created a massive shield on top of the ship's shield. Initially, he wanted to make the same thing as Achraf's software but failed swiftly.

The interval between blasts was too short for him to manage to switch even between two cannons. Dost decided to pass his limits and create the biggest field that he ever did.
Unfortunately, the cast took a great toll on his metal body. The more psios used the resource the more he damaged his sheath. The android body began to corrode. His time was ticking.
Kutch answered the transgression with eight shots of the explosion which flew just by ship missing it with a great range.
"I guess that only the hunters are capable on that ship. The crew must be newbies, to miss as pathetic as they did." Captain Capua finished her mock when eight separate parts of her ship had been blown up.
Two of her cannons were out of order momentarily. Along with the cannon, the Green Twinkle shooter took down her rear nozzles. The accurate blow made the Tired Can immobile.
After the report from the monitors, she was ordered to give all of the power to the remaining cannons.
"Take out those annoying cannons."
Captain Seaghoul watched how the projectiles that Kutch shot had changed their trajectory and returned to hit the back of the ship. Precisely, the first four targeted the shield to make an opening for the rest. Then two went to the cannons and the other two aimed for the nozzles.
The remaining 3 cannons, one plasma, and two neutron energy were aimed at one of the cannons of the green ship. Instead of many short blasts, Captain decided over one long to overwhelm the shields.
Dost saw the upcoming lines and concentrated his shield on one side. Kutch sent another 8 projectiles towards the Tired Can.
Kutch destroyed the rest of the cannons while Dost withstood the assault. It came to him with a big price, his right arm fell off. his whole body was rusted and scorched. His time was up.
Captain Seaghoul called everybody to the deck immediately.
"First of all Achraf, without your support, Dost wouldn't be able to save us all here, thank you. The second thing is that we have to save Safo if he is still alive."
O'rmon came out from her room after the shaking of the ship. She couldn't keep ignoring the calls of the captain. She was shocked to hear about what situation Safo was in. If she was there, she would never allow such a reckless action.

"Will you help him, O'rmon?" Kutch looked begging.
"Of course, why are you even asking? It doesn't matter what is going on between us. I'm on a mission." O'rmon seemed surprised by her words too.
People on the deck felt easier, if anyone could reach Safo before he died it was O'rmon. The team Kutch, O'rmon, and Dost who insisted on joining were teleported to the surface of the unnamed planet.
Terrible screams soured their hearts. Safo was in great pain.
When the female White-Black stood up to avenge her fallen companion she used all of her power to create a destructive wave of vibration.
The four-armed warriors scattered away damaged by the wave, some died from internal bleeding of their ripped organs. Safo, whose hand was stuck because of the green weapon that stuck between Torch and the skull, had been tossed away with the dead body attached to him.
The dino body dropped itself on top of Safo Nur making his situation even direr.
The wave didn't stop, the vibration made Safo sick, and soon he threw up inside of his suit. Disgusted he lost his focus and screamed when pointy jaws were already upon him.
White-Black gently moved the motionless body to dig up its murderer. With one quick motion, the female pterodactyl grabbed Safo's small body in between its jaws and raised its head.
"Aarrgghh!"
Safo's stuck arm had been ripped off from his shoulder. Safo felt each of his muscles, reinforced by the first course, being torn apart.
Luna was screaming that the monster, White-Blacks that he killed somehow entered his soul room but Safo couldn't comprehend any information in his situation.
A horrifying yell of pain was heard on the ship, which made them be sure that Safo couldn't escape from the cave.
Wiggling the body in the air the monster tossed it to the other end of the cave. But couldn't satisfy the anger of the beast. It ran after Safo, crushing the mineral formations and poor four-armed creatures that were unfortunate enough to be on White-black's way.
Airborn Safo didn't understand much, he knew that he had near to zero chance to control his fate. His flying body was stopped by a sharp edge of the stalagmite that grew from the floor. It pierced through his leg leaving Safo to dangle in the air, hooked by the leg. His open wound oozed blood, a big chunk of meat was to show.
At that time almost all of his ribs were broken, he had no one arm and one of his legs had a see through cut. If it wasn't for the first course of the Immortality Path, we would've been dead.
The disgusting liquid enhanced his physical stats, his bones, muscles, and organs were much tougher than an average human. But nothing could help with easing the pain. Safo screamed like mad. On the other hand, Luna stopped screaming. Safo assumed that the monster's soul that entered into his Soul room had killed Luna.
Never in his life, Safo felt that bitter. He didn't even know how naive he was.
The White-Black was already upon him. With a brutal motion of its jaws, the beast knocked Safo from his mineral hook.
Safo dropped on the floor, he opened his flooded in blood eyes to witness how the closed jaw pierced his stomach. White-Black used its muscular neck to plunge its jaw at Safo.
Not only he was pierced through, his spine was destroyed to pieces. Safo had no strength to scream or cry or for anything else. He just stared at his killer.
The monster's eye was also directed at him. At the next moment, White-Black turned on its vibration.
Pulsating force came beating Safo more and more into the soil colored by his blood. The suit on Safo's head started to give up and soon the hole appeared on its surface.
When Safo thought that it was his end, his two eyeballs exploded spraying the liquid that was inside, all over the place.
Safo didn't feel pain, he was simply scared to death. The screeching scream came out of him and soon his communicator broke down; couldn't withstand the vibration of the White-Black.
Captain Seaghoul dropped his head, he couldn't keep it high for letting the kid die like that.
Achraf backed away and sat on a seat face full of tears; he lost his friend and daughter.
O'rmon was the first, from the rescue team, to enter the tunnel.

Sanguine
The Coles are probably the definition of a small dysfunctional family, even if they weren’t the worst in existence; they would probably be lauded as an example of the term. The Coles were a small family though. The father, Oliver Cole, was an asshole ex-football jock who bounced around in small paying jobs after wasting most of his life drinking, drugging and whoring. The daughter, Stacy Cole, was smart, but had many issues including anger, trouble with authority, and occasional suicidal thoughts, and was kicked out of many a school for disruptive behaviour. The son, Mike Cole, was innocent, and tried his best to be kind to anyone and everyone, however his own speech impediment, and slow nature only aided people to bully and belittle him, including his own father. The Coles were indeed a dysfunctional family. At least they were, until they got to the small town near the border between the United States and Canada, Sanguine. Welcome to Sanguine. You will stay. With the exception of the first chapter, each chapter only follows one character. The first chapter is the only chapter in which I will include 'Sides' where it follows a different character. This is a short Lovecraftian story, it won't go above seventeen chapters. Note: the book cover is my first attempt, it might not even remain like it is, I was just tired of seeing the standard 'no cover' thing on it.
