Chapter 88: RUN
In the distance from the unnamed planet, the green ship floated in space watching over two cosmic beasts. Two White-Blacks, the creatures that were beyond regular biology.
They didn't need food or oxygen, they could live for thousands, some even millions of years.
Two of such creatures were having a star bath, charging their life energy, to live and feed their newly laid eggs.
Out of nowhere, the female White-Black had a bad feeling, maternal instincts apparently. They decided to return.
"Captain, we can't reach the team. We are having interference of sorts. We are unable to warn them." One of the young crew members panicked.
"Go call O'rmon here. Move faster!" Captain Seaghoul wanted to entrust the sending message to the fastest member of the team.
O'rmon was busy with her "special task" and ignored the knock on the door.
"Stubborn girl. Everything is on us. Drop the signal device into the crack, right now!"
Another young member of the ship crew came with a report to the Captain. "Sir, we noticed a ship coming to us."
"Damn it, why now? Tell Achraf to get ready for the battle. Turn on the shields. Turn the ship towards the attacker. Get ready to fire on my mark." Captain Seaghoul began yelling orders louder than usual.
The ship managed to drop the device that empowered the signal for communication, only after the two White-Blacks squeezed themselves into the crack.
With their talons and bones on the end of the wings, the two beasts crushed their way down until they saw a tunnel almost their size.
Some parts of their skin were bruised and cut by sharp mineral rocks, which only added to their rage. Not having enough space to fly, they moved by walking. Rattle horns on top of their heads scratched the ceiling of the tunnel along with their sticking out bones at the end of their wings.
Fueled by the discomfort of the travel they entered the cave full of small thieves. Their precious eggs were held by grey creatures. The female White-Black sensed that two of her eggs went missing.
The first thing that the rattle-birds would do before destroying the enemies was to rattle, of course. Pests should know the difference in power. With all their might two White-Blacks turned on their vibrational powers demonstrating the overwhelming superiority.

The wave of resonated vibrations was sent through space. 3-4 meter long stalactites started to fall from the ceiling on top of the frozen in fear, four-armed creatures.
"Aaaargghh!" Yon came out from his space where he was supposed to be invincible. His protective suit was painted in red around his head. He dropped to the floor in a deafening scream of pain.
Yon couldn't withstand the strength of the vibration. His highly sensitive ears burst blood. Safo and Kutch called out to him asking Yon to leave the cave but he couldn't hear them.
"Kutch take him out of here."
"On it. You move to the exit too."
The mother White-Black moved towards the crowd crushing them under its talons. Those stalagmites, which remain intact after the vibration wave, were slammed by the wings of the rampaging monster.
Luckily for Safo Nur and his team, the death of their friends was a wake-up call to the four-armed race. Their screeches had been muted by the absence of oxygen but the aura could be felt anyway. Rain of rocks and stone downfall to the White-Black.
Those with an egg in their hands, threw them at the beast. From behind the crowd, fifty or so warriors of the race came armed with sharpened green minerals in their four hands. Under the leadership of the alpha of the race, they engaged in a fight with the mother White-Black.
For a while, she didn't respond to their attacks and stabbings, both monsters gently gathering the scattered eggs.
"Safo...Safo...The line is not working well. Get out of there. White-Blacks is on the way...We are under attack...I repeat the ship is under attack."
"Damn it. Let's go!" Kutch picked up Yon and was about to move towards the cave's entrance when one of the male White-Black sensed the movements behind it. The beast slowly turned his head directing his eye, which was on the side of his head, right to the Kutch.
"Dost!" Safo screamed only after the new wave of vibration hit Kutch and slammed him to the wall. Dost stretched out his hand and installed a shield between the vibration force and Kutch a bit late.
The vibration didn't stop, while Dosts's shield began to get closer to Kutch. It could press to death both Kutch and Yon.
Safo and Dost were not under the shield. And Safo decided to act.

He sent his own wave of Fear towards the White-BLack. The result was rather surprising, the beast froze.
Yon and Kutch drew their weapons, Dost took off his shield.
After the match where Safo melted down the favorite spear of Yon, he bought many compact ones. A small tube elongated upon activation and became a spear which Yon aptly plunged into the beast's eye.
'WOW! If he wanted, he could kill me with ease during the tournament.' Safo knew that Yon didn't use all of his skills and might while fighting Safo but he couldn't imagine that Yon was that tough.
Dost put on his shield around the male White-Black blocking it with the dozen knives of Kutch. Kutch controlled each of his knives, aiming the other eye of the raging creature.
Unfortunately, Safo's Fear couldn't penetrate the shield and he had to watch how the knives controlled by the telekinesis resource of Kutch tried to injure the eye. Dost did his best to hold his shield.
The mother White-Black finally finished collecting the eggs. She stood on top of them firmly and used her vibration to throw away the small pest on climbing her. With her elongated jaw, she caught the leader and the strongest among four-armed people.
With several bangs, she turned the leader into pulp, then sent the half body flying across the cave. Right after that all of the four-armed people fled to the other side of the cave and hid behind debris that was left from picturesque mineral formations. Only a few of their warriors left to throw rocks at the female White-Black, which refused to move and leave her eggs.
Near the entrance to the cave, Dost was struggling to keep his shield. The vibrations from outside and inside took a great toll on him, and soon he stepped back releasing the beast out of his cell.
Safo hurried to replace Dost, the android box with psios soul inside, with the Fear Safo managed to halt the monster once more.
"RUN!" Safo gave a command to his team.
"What? No, hold it like that we fight together." Kutch took out a new portion of a dozen throwing knives.
"Dost, take them out of here. Right now! Go, help the ship. I will cover your back here. They don't need us anyway. They want their eggs. I'll be fine." Safo's heart sank when he saw Yon's suit. It was him who dragged his team to the dangerous scheme.
'It is my fault. I was overconfident about my victories in the game. It is not a game. I fuc*ed up. We cannot die here as if we could respawn any time.' Safo blamed himself for being stupid, for acting, and making stupid decisions. Not for a moment, he thought about the failure of the mission and losing lives.
Safo turned a deaf ear to the protests of his team members. "I said, fuc*ing run! Dost, take Yon. Kutch helps to defend the ship. GO!"
Never, Kutch saw Safo be dedicated about his decision like at that moment.
"I can hold them. I'm fine." The calm voice of Safo gave them more confidence than his orders. The team understood that he wasn't playing a hero, he was aware of his capabilities.
"If we lose the ship we all die here. Just go, please." The last plea from the prince of the Psiora race and they were convinced.
"I will be right behind you." Were the last words from Safo.
The trio obeyed and retreated from the cave. Dost held Yon and ran to the other side of the tunnel. Kutch was in front of him. Their new task was to fend off the assaulting ship, wait for Safo to teleport to the ship, and flee from the spot.
"Well, Luna, we will see how long I can hold this dinosaur."
For the next half an hour no one moved from the place. Safo kept still the male White-Black, while the female White-Black sat on her eggs. A dim yellow light shone from the place where the eggs were. Safo guessed that the mother was sharing her energy with her babies.
None of the four-armed folks dared to start a fight. However, all of them were ready for it. Safo felt a big amount of murderous feelings coming from the primitive race.
By the end of half an hour, Safo was exhausted, almost out of energy. But there was a bright side, Twenty or more four-armed warriors were coming to his location from the other side of the cave. They were on the walls, slowly step by step climbing towards one-eyed White-Black.

A Fool fooling around in another world
Do you think that a story, where the MC isn't dense as lead, would be fun? Do you think that a story, where flags are intentionally set, would be interesting? Do you think that a story, where the MC isn't a wimp, would be a nice change for once? ...No? Oh... that's not the answer I expected.
