Chapter 80: Pinky
"It did what? That is not fair in so many ways. Why are you so damn lucky?"
"Haha. I don't know, it just happened. I don't control those things. Anyway, let's go get armor for you two." Safo kept that Luna lived in his Soul room. Which caused an error in the system, while the fact that he had a hidden item saved him, giving the Status of Pro-player in the process.
Reluctantly Miloud agreed. Luna and Miloud went to talk to NPCs to gather their armor set.
Nimble light armor was Tier 2, with 3 Agility points and 1 Strength point.
[Name: WorldDestroyer(1)

Luna's elemental arrow damage was equal to 69.7, it was enough just 2-3 shots to kill enemies her level. Her critical damage was equal to 79.9. Currently, Luna had the mightiest in the team.
But Luna also faced a struggle upon entering Cube 2. Each of her regular arrows turned into an elemental consumed 10 MP, limiting Luna to 21 arrows in one battle. Afterwards, she had to wait for her MP to replenish or consume potions.
Her regular arrow damage was only 41, the same as Safo's glove damage.
"Now, guys, I want to finish my professional quest by myself. It requires several NPC assassinations, so you do not want to be involved in that. Your task is to decide what kind of pet you want to get and finish that quest." Agreeing to meet at the Runiau village to go after the Secret quest of the Creator.
Safo logged out to get some food. He played two days and nights in a row. Thus his body needed some exercise. On the way to the canteen, Safo met Kutch and they sat down to have some chat while Safo ate his hot meal.
"Man, the setup that you organized at the portal worked very well. Throughout the Cube InCubation is harassing and abusing everybody who is linked to the Lord of the wings guild. Thousands of people left the guild. The castle that they won right after our failure had been besieged. Every leader of the guild is inside that castle unable to leave it. InCubation wants to prove the point, they are number one." Though Kutch was glad that the enemy of his guild was suffering a misfortune he didn't like the fact that the number one guild was so adamant and cruel to others.

"You just wait, I will destroy that guild too. We will own the dimension, mark my words." Safo told the story of him obtaining status in the game, only to see that Kutch was surprised as much as Miloud. He had never heard any other status except "Criminal" and "Imprisoned".
"Two more days left for us to arrive on the unnamed planet with White-Black, do you want to train or will you resume your game?" Kutch was a bit bored. In the game, he did not have many adventures due to the guild competition. And Yon was not much of a friend to him.
"Safo wished to finish the game as soon as possible, plus he was having a lot of experience by fighting various enemies. His main motivation however was that he felt happier in the game. It was a made-up place and wasn't as harsh as real life.
Safo asked Kutch about pets for Luna. She was an archer, so she needed a pet that could be in intune with her position in the team and while fighting solo at the same time.
"Well, I saw archers get tank pets or monkeys to bring back an arrow, or something fast to distract the enemy. She has to go through all options and choose one. Then I will give more options of the pets she could get." Safo didn't have to ask, Luna was listening.
"I want something cute." Luna had her answer, but it wasn't based on any strategy or battle tactic.
Safo sighed and answered Kutch. Kutch sighed too and gave the options.
"There is a white and black bear that has the role of a tank. An agile pink eagle for distra--" Luna was screaming in Safo's head wishing to get a pink eagle.
Safo sighed again, Kutch understood in a flash. "She wants a pink eagle, doesn't she?" After getting a confirmation nod, Kutch began his search on how to find a quest for a pink eagle.
After some time Kutch had a location. Spear Mountains. Forests are long and narrow, separate from each other, 100-300 meters long in height. At the entrance to the terrain was a village called a "Village before Spear Mountains". That was a destination that Safo and Luna had to travel to.

After a catch-up chat with Captain Seaghoul, Safo made sure that everything was quiet. The Green Twinkle moved on a full-speed, still, it would take two more days to reach the place. So Safo went to the game once more.
Luna and Safo bought teleport scrolls and spent all of their money on elemental arrows. Using their scrolls the duo swiftly appeared before the gates to the village. The gate was made of wood and bones. Two massive tusks supported the gates. The whole exterior of the village was barbarian. The buildings were all the same design; wood and bones bind together by thick ropes.
Receiving crooked looks from the local NPCs Safo and Luna hurried to talk with the right person to get directions towards the place where Luna had to take a trial to earn to be an owner of an eagle.
A blind man with an eagle on his shoulder was the one that they needed. After a minute of talking, Luna and Safo left the village heading towards countless bridges that connected the rock pillars.
On the way to the end of the zone, Luna had to find and successfully hit 10 hidden targets.
The path started from the ground and gradually moved upward. Sometimes it was spiral stairs carved into pillars, while others were seemingly fragile rope bridges with old wood flooring. Safo and Luna were focused to seek quest targets.
From time to time various eagles attacked them. Safo copied Luna's Rainbow Bow, it was a faded copy of an original with only x7 damage. However, it was the best weapon against airborne enemies.
To Luna's unfortunate, Safo's fear of heights came back slowing the pace, even Luna's mocking jokes didn't help, somewhy. So only Luna enjoyed breathtaking views from the tops of the Spear Mountains.
Many other monsters except eagles crossed their way, almost always in the most inconvenient and narrow places.
Luna was the hero of the day. With a smile on her face, she took down all and every creature that blocked their way. Safo was useful in a battle only at the rare, flat places. Rock spiders crawling on the vertical surfaces spitting a sticky web from their back-holes gave the duo a chance to gather their Mental orbs.
As a result at the end of the trip, both Luna and Safo had their mental orbs of Cube 2, meaning that they needed to reach level 19 to be ready to ascend to the next Cube.
Unfortunately, after the 7th target hit by Luna, Safo already used up all of his arrows. Learning archery was too costly to him. He switched his bow to his favorite shield and resumed the path depending on Luna's protection.
It took the whole day to reach the end of the zone by hitting all 10 targets. Safo trained his poor archery skills but couldn't overcome his phobia which slowed them down greatly.
The end of the quest was the tallest pillar with an eagle nest on top of it. The trial to reach the nest to climb the vertical pillar, bearing the attacks of the eagles at the same time.
Safo shielded his female companion as much as he could and took all the damage to himself. 'Am I a tank pet of Luna?' Funny thoughts came to him in moments of a deep fear of falling.
He tried not to look down but couldn't help it. From time to time he froze and cold sweat drops fell. Safo couldn't stop imagining that it was him falling to be turned into a lump of ground meat.
He moved solely to protect Luna, without that purpose he would've turned back at the beginning of the quest.
Luckily for him, they reached the top of the tallest "Spear" and an attack of eagles subsided. Luna effortlessly dealt with them, after having a solid ground and a chance to draw her bow.
The last part of the quest was to take one of the eggs and to teleport back to the creepy village before the Spear Mountains. There a blind man put a spell on a pet, bound it with its owner.
"I will name it Pinky."

8 123The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
