Although there was no sun in hell, a blue moon appeared every night. Tens of Orc Warriors were walking under the light of the blue moon when their leader ordered them to come to a halt. The Orcs pitched the tents and began preparing food.
The tent in the middle of the encampment stood a little higher than the others. Inside the tent, a humanoid demon sat cross-legged on a chair, two large horns protruding from his head. He had a tanned appearance, and his short long hair was completely black. His most distinguishing feature was the wings protruding from his back. An Orc priest stood in front of him, his head bowed and fear visible in his eyes.
"So, you're saying that one of our caravans was completely destroyed?" The demon spoke calmly, but the priest could tell he was already enraged.
"Sir Ulric, yes." We lost contact with them yesterday and haven't heard from them since." The priest responded hesitantly.
"Just as I was about to be promoted and relocated to the central region." "How much loss did we incur?" Ulric sighed lightly.
"Nearly 20 young slaves and two auction girls, according to their reports"
"Ha," Ulric said as he tossed the glass he was holding to the ground. This terrified the priest even more. "They even dragged two auction girls down." What are the chances that they are still alive?"
"None," the priest replied in hushed tones. The next thing he knew, the world was spinning around him. After a brief moment, he noticed his own body in front of him, but the head was missing. This was the last thing he saw before his eyes went dark.
Ulric stood up and summoned the guards who were stationed outside. "Clear this trash," he said matter-of-factly. The guards silently took up the body and carried it outside.
He then exited the tent and gazed at the blue moon. He was enraged not by the deaths of his minions, but by the loss of the auction girls. The girls who could be auctioned off were few and far between, and their price was fifty times that of a regular slave. And that money was something he desperately needed. "You better pray I don't find you because that day will be your last," he muttered after a few moments.
His two targets, Karen and Eliza, were walking leisurely into the night a long distance away from Ulric. They were fully energized because they had time to rest during their captivity and had gained two levels in a row. They were both wearing large pieces of cloth to cover themselves at the time. Their destination was the city, the outline of which they could already see.

A few hours prior.
"I'll keep all of their weapons in my inventory." "We can sell them later for money," Eliza said as she began collecting all of the weapons from the dead Orcs. "Are you familiar with the black markets around here?"
Karen tried to sound convincing with "Yes," but her voice betrayed her. Eliza realized she'd have to do everything herself.
Karen was very adept at fighting and had excellent survival skills, but her interaction with people was so limited that she didn't even know some common knowledge. Eliza was curious about the reason for this and decided to inquire at the appropriate time. But the time had not yet come.
Karen rummaged through the deceased's belongings while Eliza collected the weapons. "We hit the jackpot!" she exclaimed.
Eliza looked at her with a perplexed expression. "We got a City pass." This pass allows you to enter and exit a specific city without restriction. We wouldn't have to worry about checking in at the city gates anymore." Karen explained, holding up a small, worn-out badge.
After looking through everything they could find, they sat down to talk about their future plans.
"We need to get back to earth as soon as possible. Are there any portals nearby?" Eliza inquired of Karen.
"There won't be any anywhere near here." Karen responded with a gloomy expression.
"How can you be so sure of yourself?"
"It takes a lot of demonic energy concentration to open a portal to Hell. And such concentrations can only be found in the central regions. The concentration becomes thinner as you move away from the central region. This is also why the Desert Hounds were slightly more powerful than the forest Hellhounds."
"So, taking what you said into account, we need to get stronger in order to move towards the central region" Ah. This is causing me to lose my mind. It all comes down to how powerful you are in the end." Eliza was displeased.
"There are a few other options."
"Which are they?"
"I'll tell you when we get to town." Karen's response had a mysterious air to it. They then talked about their trip to the city.
At the present.
Despite being wrapped in a large cloth, Eliza could feel the cold desert wind brush against her ears. The only reason they were traveling at night was because Karen had promised them comfortable beds and delicious food in the city. Eliza succumbed to the devil's temptation and convinced Karen to travel at night. She soon realized that she had underestimated the desert and was now suffering as a result. Karen was walking in front of her without any problems, which irritated her even more.

They decided to take a short break after a few more hours of travel. During this time, Karen became aware of a major issue. "We have no money," she explained to Eliza.
"I told you already," Eliza sighed. We'll make some money by selling those weapons on the black market."
"I didn't mean that," Karen said meekly, "we have to pay some money to enter the city as well."
"So, what's the point of the pass?" Eliza was taken aback.
"It simply allows unchecked entry into a city. You must still pay the entry fees."
"Don't be concerned. I'll think of something once we arrive." Karen was reassured by Eliza. They then took a short break before continuing on their journey.
Around midday, they arrived at the city walls. Although they could see the city walls at night, it was nothing compared to their actual size. The walls were so tall and seemed so thick that even if hordes of beasts attacked it, they would be unable to penetrate it. This wall was also patrolled by a number of beastkin and Orcs.
Eliza was most taken aback by its resemblance to human cities. She would have assumed it was an abandoned human city if there were no monsters here. "The earthly Kings have always considered the people of hell as barbarians, whereas in fact, we were as advanced as you," Karen remarked with a smirk, looking at Eliza's surprised expression.
Eliza wanted to reprimand her but couldn't think of the right words. Karen's words were true, and she believed them until she didn't come here.
As they approached the city's entry gate, they noticed a large line of monsters outside the gate. The guards at the gate were inspecting the monsters' cargo and belongings. Only those who had been granted permission could enter. Others were forced to leave. If one looked closely, one might notice several instances of bribery, but it felt natural in this setting.
Karen cast an expectant look at Eliza. "All right, I'll do it," Eliza grumbled as she approached a wealthy-looking Lizardman.
"Hey, you. Come here," Eliza said in a commanding tone. The other monsters who surrounded the Lizardman were perplexed, but no one said anything. The lizardman also approached Eliza with arrogance. Karen was simply watching from the sidelines.

"How am I supposed to figure out who you are?" The lizardman also responded in a similar manner.
"You have a lot of guts to talk to me like that. At the very least, you should be aware of what this is." Eliza pulled out a small, worn-out badge.
When he saw "The City pass," the Lizardman flinched. It was only given to a few of the City Lord's most trusted subjects.
"At the very least, you know what this is. Then you should understand what you did wrong. Nobody will object if I kill you and hang your body over the door." Although she had no intention of doing anything of the sort, it was very effective at instilling fear.
The monsters in the line began to murmur amongst themselves. The Lizardman quickly fell to his knees and begged forgiveness, saying, "O great one, please forgive my rudeness. I will go to any length to repay you..."
This drew the attention of the guards, and one of them, an Orc, approached them and inquired about the situation. He asked Eliza to forgive the Lizardman after he got the gist of it.
"Since I don't feel like killing anyone today," Eliza said lazily, "I will forgive him if he compensates properly."
“Yes, Yes, I am willing to compensate” the lizardman quickly took out a small coin pouch and gave it to Eliza who took it without a second thought.
"I will let you go this time, even though it is a little less, since I am feeling a bit better. Do not show me your face again.”
"Yes, yes, I am willing to compensate," the lizardman quickly took out a small coin pouch and handed it to Eliza, who accepted it without hesitation.

"Yes, yes," said the Lizardman as he scrambled away.
Eliza then approached Karen with a smile on her face, but Karen did not react as she had expected.
"Eliza, you're a liar and a scammer," Karen said, her eyes upset.
Eliza felt like coughing up blood. They didn't have any money, and when she did get some, this was the treatment she received.
