《Multi Me Myself And I》Ch. 109 Megnes Might

Tai Shen was picking spiritual herbs in a forest, he wanted to make a good fish soup. He didn't have a fish but he planned on getting one. One by one, he gently plucked the herb off the ground. After collecting the herbs that he knew, he jumped into the sky and landed on the Junk ship.
The Junk ship moved upwards and flew towards a river. Tai Shen went inside the Junk ship and took out a bamboo fishing rod. He had found the fishing rod when he checked inside the ship. The fishing rod made him want to fish and he had left it inside the ship for safekeeping. The Junk ship stopped and was above a calm river.
Tai Shen took a beetle out of his pocket and placed it on the fishing hook, he sat in a bamboo chair facing the river and casted the hook. The hook fell with its string and sunk into the river. Tai Shen sat in his chair and waited patiently.
By the river was a vast forest with tall trees. Colorful birds were singing everywhere and it was music to Tai Shen’s ears. A red bird flew close by Tai Shen and he grabbed it with his right hand while holding the fishing pole with his left hand. The bird tweeted with fear in his hand as it struggled to escape.
As a mortal, Tai Shen had honed his skills of catching birds for a few years and he was the best bird catcher in the village. When he wanted to catch a bird, he would sit in a chair, cover himself with a green blanket, and place bird seeds around him. When a bird came close by, he would quickly shoot his hand out and catch them.
After Eszero had left him on the Junk ship, he had cultivated for a short while and had some Qi. He used the Qi to jump high and emit peaceful Qi which removed his presence from ordinary animals.
Looking at the bird in his hand, Tai Shen opened his hand and let it fly away. If Tai Shen was still back at his village, he would have killed and roasted it. Tai Shen's fishing pole suddenly tugged and he grabbed it with both hands.
The pull was strong and Tai Shen knew it was a big fish. He pulled with all his might and the fish plopped into the sky. He reel the fishing pole and saw that it was a silver cutter fish, a flat fish with very sharp fins. The fish was fast and could cut people that got close to it. From his village, he once heard some got their throat cut by a silver cutter fish and they died drowning.

Tai Shen pulled the fish onto the boat and it flopped around with the hook still in its mouth. Tai Shen wanted to pull the fishing hook out of its mouth but he didn't want to get cut. He watched the fish flop around for a while and it died.
He took the hook out of the fish's mouth and proceeded to remove its scales. There was a stone campfire and pot inside the ship with barrels of water. He cut the herbs and fish and tossed them into the pot. He put salt, spice, and other things into the pot. He stirred the pot as he slowly watched everything cook.
After a while, everything was cooked and Tai Shen sat in the bamboo chair. He watched the surrounding scenery and ate the fish soup that was in a wooden bowl with a wooden spoon. Everything felt wonderful and amazing to Tai Shen as he ate, this was definitely a life he could get used to.
Far far away in another world, there was a humanoid child creature with leaves for hair, wood for the flesh, and small blue light for eyes. The creature was a he and an Externity.
He walked through a forest filled with light peacefully. Nothing disturbed him and he disturbed nothing. His blue eyes flickered on and off sometimes. His wooden feet steeped on the soft grassy ground. The grass and all of existence around seem to love and bend towards him.
“Oh, friend, what brings you here,” asked a quiet boyish voice.
“I came to chat,” replied the wood child with a raspy woody voice.
“Very well,” replied the boyish voice.
A giant ten feet tall hunched creature in black rags with a deer head came out from the dark forest. Under the rags, one could see its bird claw legs and feathered hand. Its head radiated green light as it looked at the wood child. It came close to the wood child but did not step into the light and stayed in the darkness.
"Come sit," said Deer Feather.
Wood Child sat on the ground and looked Deer Feather.
"Is today a good day?" asked Deer Feather.
"So far, yes," replied the Wood Child.
"You seem concern," said Deer Feather.
"There is a new Externity, they make me somewhat afraid," said Wood Child.
A hint of surprise flashed through Deer Feather's eyes. Wood Child was older than him and shouldn't have much to fear.
"Why do you fear?" asked Deer Feather.
"It's not that I fear, I am only afraid because I can't seem to fear them," said Wood Child.
Deer Feather dived deep into existence. He was in darkness and he tried to search for the Externity Wood Child was talking about. He searched and soon saw a place of all white. In the place of all white, he saw a cold dead face boy with diamond hair. The boy seemed like nothing and felt like nothing. Deer Feather tried to feel fear for the boy but he couldn't. This helplessness to fear made him afraid.

"Who are you?" asked Deer Feather.
The boy seemed to notice his existence, many things flashed in the boy's eyes and he did not reply. As Deer feather kept staring at the boy, it felt as if he was looking at something he shouldn't look at. He wanted to keep looking, but the more he looked, the more he felt lost. Deer Feather left the white space and went back to Wood Child.
"What do you think?" asked Wood Child.
"I think we let everything be as it is," replied Deer Feather.
Wood Child nodded, he too thought the same. The two of them parted and disappeared. After they left, a diamond hair stand appeared in the air and disappeared.
In a space of darkness, Eszero who was watching Joy live out his life felt afraid. She did not know why she was afraid, only that someone or something had a guillotine above her head.
"Who are you," Eszero asked the surroundings.
She received no reply but felt a cold chill upon her body. She felt like a star that was going to be extinguished. She shouldn't be afraid of being extinguished but somehow she was.
"Jay, what do you think that was?" asked Eszero.
“I think it might be him,” replied Jay.
A thought flashed in Eszero’s eyes and she kept it to herself.
“Say,” said Eszero, “do you think everything is going to be alright?”
“I don't know,” replied Jay, “but I know that everything is as it is.”
“Thank you,” said Eszero.
Jay did not reply and things fell silent. Eszero went back to watching Joy live out his life while something turned its gaze away from Eszero.
Far in the void, in a black flat land, there was a dark dimension crack with red outlines. Demons of all sorts rushed in from the dimension crack like an army. In front of the waves of demons were five Peylirs. Behind the Peylirs were one hundred seventy-three purple four-petal flowers with a pink pistil.
The flowers were new to the void and were called Devire flowers. Where ever the flowers bloomed in abundance, mighty creatures would be born to defend and protect them. The Devire flower is desired by many creatures from all parts of many worlds. When one ate the Devire flower, they would gain quickly gain an increase in power.
Two of the five Peylirs rushed into the demon army. Their brute body force collided with the demons and obliterated them. The three Peylirs from behind smashed the ground and threw boulders that rolled and flattened demons.
Black-armored humanoid demon warriors raised their halberds and slammed them down on the Peylirs. The sound of steel colliding with heavy plates rang in the air. The two Peylirs gave a great roar and paralyzed the surrounding demons. Far behind the demon wave, there stood a steel humanoid demon with steel wings, steel tail, and steel horn. In the steel demon’s hand was a steel great sword that gleamed under the darkness of the void. The steel demon's name was Vesinal.
“Overrun them!” Vesinal roared.
The demons pushed harder and slammed their body into the two Peylirs. The two Peylirs were like stones and the demons were like waves of water. Even under the immense wave of demons, the Peylirs did not falter. They slammed and punched like a sledgehammer smashing into waves of sand.
The other three Peylirs behind saw the difficulty of the fight and one of them picked up a Devire flower. It stuffed it into its mouth and devoured it. Vesinal watched the scene with curiosity as it wondered if the Peylir would just grow stronger.
The Peylir body seemed to harden and lost all moisture. A while passed and its hardened body grew bigger and bigger. The Peylir’s body grew to triple its original size and exploded. From the crater of the explosion, a Megnes appeared.
The Megnes looked like an organic humanoid white wizard. It had a white leather-skinned wizard hat, a long old artistic bone staff with a white crystal at the top, a hard flat face mask with two eye holes shining red, and a wizard’s robe that seemed to be made of old dried white flesh. Everything it wore was made of white old dried hardened flesh, every accessory it had was made of hard dried bones, and its entire body seemed like a white hard exoskeleton.
The Megnes raised its staff and a wave of energy passed through everything. The demons stopped attacking the two Peylirs and proceeded to attack each other. Shock and surprise passed through Vesinal eyes, he felt a strong desire to murder everything close to him. He looked back at the Megnes and a red line of light came out from the Megnes staff. It shot straight towards him and penetrated his head. Vesinal felt his mind extinguish and he fell to the ground.

The Demon Lord's Seal
Five thousand years ago Derek Thorne's namesake helped to seal the Demon Lord. For five thousand years his clan has continued to maintain the tenets of their founder. They have maintained the ways of the Demon Warrior, using holy magic and their ancestor's techniques to defeat the Demons of the Hell's Gate Mountains. They are an ancient family and they have the hubris to match. When Derek leaves the mountains, he encounters a world where ninety percent of the population believes demons to be mere myth. The rest imagine the stories to be overhyped nonsense. Cut off from clan, what will Derek make of himself in this world? This story has been dropped.Edit: Thanks to Jean D. Racc for the alternate cover. Thanks to the readers for voting on it.
8 130Leslie's Poems
This is a continuous collection of poems that I've written in chronological order, starting with the oldest and ending with the newest. This will be updated periodically and may have mass updates. More often than not, each poem either will be written in free verse or with zero adherence to traditional poem structure. Some poems may imply situations and actions that can be triggering or annoying, especially the earlier poems. I recommend skipping most of the ones from 2018-2019, or just not reading this at all if you feel it may hurt you. Please enjoy and read at your own discretion.
