《Multi Me Myself And I》Ch. 102 Like A Diamond

From Jay’s corpse rose a human. She looked like a teenage girl with clear diamond hair and clear diamond eyes. She wore a diamond top hat, a black shirt with a diamond jacket, fingerless black gloves, a black skirt, black stocks, diamond tap shoes, and in her hand was a diamond umbrella.

Her gaze was cold and expressionless, it seemed as if she had lived for a long time. The darkness around her did not faze her or draw an ounce of emotion out of her. One couldn't tell if she was happy or sad, but one could feel that she was like a painting, a painting that drew out every part of one’s heart and entire being. To look at her was to look at a magnificent thing that could only be seen once in a lifetime.

“You didn't think you could truly die, did you?” She spoke inside her head with a cold delicate machine voice.

She tapped Jay’s body and it disintegrated into the darkness.

“Aren’t you supposed to be a man,” Jay asked inside her head with a cold voice.

“The concept of gender doesn't apply to me,” she replied.

“What’s your name?” Jay asked with a calm low friendly voice to confirm his suspicion.

“I was first called S-0 by my parents and Jack by my sister, I will take the name my parents gave me, Eszero will be my name,” Eszero replied softly.

“I should definitely be dead,” said Jay, “although I'm dead, since your part of me, that means I’ll be alive for as long as you live.”

“Precisely,” Eszero replied.

“So what do want,” asked Jay.

“I want to see the full picture of this world,” Eszero said softly, “to understand it all.”

“That’s close to impossible, you will most likely not succeed,” Jay said softly.

“That’s ok,” Eszero softly replied, “I only want to see the sun at the top of the mountain before I fade away.”

“Then I guess I'm in for a long ride,” Jay said with a comfortable relaxing voice.

“Yes,” Eszero replied.

“So where shall we go?” asked Jay.

“I don't know,” replied Eszero, “wherever existence takes me I guess.”

“I just remembered, what are you?” asked Jay, “you seem human but more than that.”

“I’m an Externity,” Eszero replied.

“What’s an Externity,” Jay asked softly.

Eszero opened up a status screen.

“I mostly understand what you are now,” said Jay, “Can you break the fourth wall?”

“I cannot break the fourth wall since it is something that exists beyond and is with absolute nothingness,” replied Eszero.

“Enlighten me,” said Jay.

“Absolute nothingness is a place where not even existence and nothing exist, to go beyond that is impossible since all is absolute nothingness,” said Eszero.

“I seem to understand what your saying,” said Jay, “One more question, where will your final destination be?”

“I am currently someone or something who's one with existence, I'm sure there are others like me, my destination is absolute nothingness, to get there, I will have to go to true existence, absolute existence, nothing, true nothing, and finally absolute nothing, I don't know if there’s anything beyond absolute nothing,” said Eszero, “but I’ll find out once I get there.”

“I see, shall we start then?” asked Jay.

“Yes,” Eszero replied.

Eszero flickered and disappeared, she appeared in another world. It was a cultivation world, a world where many pursued immortality. Eszero was on top of a mountain and she looked around at the beautiful cloudy landscape.

“How long do you plan to stay here?” asked Jay.

“Until I'm tired of staying here,” replied Eszero.

“What will you do here?” asked Jay.

“Roam around for a long time discovering new things,” replied Eszero.

“You might get tired quickly,” said Jay.

“I might,” replied Eszero.

Eszero jumped off the mountain and landed on a river without making a ripple. A boat-like leaf formed and Eszero lay in it. The river carried the boat and Eszero watched the passing scenery.

Eszero saw lily pads and lotus all around the river. The sound of flowing water was music to her ear. Under the boat, her perception saw many colorful fishes. A giant white snake swam under the river and moved towards her boat. The white snake had a huge amount of energy within it and Eszero could tell it was around peak rank 1.

The white snake brought its head above the river and water dripped from its scales. Its forked tongue came out and wiggle. Its red eyes stared at Eszero trying to inflict fear on her. Eszero stared back without flinching, even if a peak rank 100 was in front of her, they would be nothing more than a tiny ant.

“You're quite brave to be riding through my river,” the white snake hissed, it detected no energy from Eszero and assumed she was a mortal.

Eszero didn't reply, she decided to watch this snake and see if she could learn something new.

“You must be quite scared to not utter a sound,” the white snake hissed.

Eszero kept staring at it while remaining silent. From the sky, a sword shot towards the white snake and it dodged to the side. The white snake turned its head and saw a flying young man with black long hair wearing a white robe.

The white snake hissed and lunged toward the man. The sword shot out of the river and sliced through the white snake’s skin. The white snake hissed with pain and the man remained calm. Eszero kept floating down the river as she watched the show.

The white snake dived under the water and disappeared, the young man became vigilant as he scanned the water. The water suddenly burst and the snake rose with its jaws ready to devour the young man. White qi converted the young man’s sword and bisected the white snake’s head.

Blood gushed from the stump of the white snake’s head like a water hose. The blood spewed toward the young man but was reflected by a qi barrier. The river was dyed red as the body of the snake sunk into the river.

The young man looked toward Eszero and felt unnerved. Eszero seemed like a living thing and a non-living thing, he couldn't place his finger on it but her existence did not seem to make sense. He flew close to her and saw that she didn't attack.

She looked at him and he became more unnerved. He took a deep breath and held his hand together.

“Are you ok, stranger?” he asked with a low soft voice.

Eszero nodded and turned her head away to look at the forest by the river, there were all sorts of colorful birds and butterflies flying around. The young man saw that she didn't want to speak to him and decided to quickly leave. He disappeared into the sky without a trace.

“I thought you would kill him,” said Jay.

“I thought so too,” said Eszero.

“What made you change your mind,” asked Jay.

“The scenery here is too beautiful to ruin my mood with killing,” Eszero replied.

The boat kept floating down the river until it reached a vast marshland filled with many reed stalks and a few green trees. The mountain on the horizon coupled with the blue sky and yellow sun made a beautiful scenery. The sound of a crying baby could be heard in the reed stalks.

“Is this perhaps fate?” asked Jay.

“It is,” replied Eszero.

Jay became a little surprised, the fact that this world had fate was very interesting.

“Are you the fated one?” asked Jay.

“No, I am not bound by the fate of any world,” Eszero replied.

“What is this child's fate?” asked Jay.

“Her fate is for a passing cultivator to pick her up,” Eszero replied.

“She seems to be hungry,” said Jay, “why don't you feed her and leave her something.”

Thoughts pass through Eszero's cold expressionless face. The baby suddenly stopped crying as it felt it was no longer was hungry. A peacock feather fell into the basket of the baby's crib. The baby reached out her small hand and clutched at the peacock feather. She felt calm upon touching the feather, it felt as if the feather was made for her.

"Will we see her again?" asked Jay.

"We will see her again in twelve years," said Eszero.

"Oh, is fate playing some tricks?" asked Jay.

"It is," replied Eszero.

The boat kept sailing through the reed stalks and the two enjoyed the scenery. Deep into the marshland, blood could be smelled. A battle had been waged and there were many dead bodies with the river dyed red. Eszero looked at a man wearing armor, his head had been impaled through his mouth with his eyes full of shock and pain.

In the surroundings, Eszero could see many bloody bodies that had been cut and stabbed. Many blood crows and bone vultures feasted on the bodies. A stone crocodile rose from the river and dragged a body into the river. Nothing bothered Eszero and the boat as they moved with the flowing river.

"Is there something interesting here?" asked Jay.

"Yes," Eszero quietly replied, it seemed she did not want to disturb the silence.

"Why so silent?" asked Jay.

“This is a silent place to be,” Eszero replied silently.

“We have always been speaking to each other in our mind, no matter how loud we are, it will not reach the outside world,” said Jay.

“Indeed, but this silence, let me relish it,” said Eszero.

“Do you like silence?” asked Jay.

“Yes,” Eszero replied, “it was one of the first things I came to feel and know.”

“I see,” said Jay.
