《Multi Me Myself And I》Ch. 89 Dangerous Scent

Jim woke up after a day feeling powerful, he looked at the leftover temcles and ate them, a quick snack before his next hunt would help.
Jim walked towards the exit of the hole confidently but quietly. He saw nothing in the dark cave beside a few holes above and around it. Although he saw nothing, he knew something that could avoid the temcles tentacles would pass by here, he just had to wait for them to pass by and attack.
Although Jim was strong and could take on a temcles in other holes, he didn't want to risk fighting against something that could stand on equal ground against him.
Jim crouched in his hole silently while scanning the cave with his six red eyes. A few hours passed a five skounds came walking by. Temcles tentacles shot out of the hole and they all dodged it.
The tentacles pulled back into the hole and the skounds walked on. The desire to kill rose inside Jim, he crouched lower and tensed his body. When the skound came close by his hole, he jumped and rushed towards them.
The skounds reacted quickly but when they saw that he was three times bigger than them, they became shocked. Their shock lasted for a moment and they huddled together while standing their ground and howling at Jim.
Jim wasn't afraid of their howls and he came crashing into one of them while the others moved away. Jim opened his jaw and savagely bite and tear at the skound he crashed into like a ragdoll. The strength of his jaws was strong and he easily crushed the bones of the skound, it quickly died and stopped howling.
Jim turned towards the other skound and saw them running away. He thought they would stay and fight but it seems survival was more important to them. Jim dragged his kill back to his hole.

In his hole at the end of it, he saw glowing purple sapling growing among his black waste. It seems one of the temcles preys had plant seeds inside them. Jim liked the purple growing plant, he decided to let it grow and not crush it with his body, hopefully, it didn't grow into something dangerous. Jim ate all of the skound and decided to take a quick nap by the plants.
After three hours, he woke up hungry again. He headed out of his hole and crouched silently. An hour passed and something came by. It was an armored black luster six-meter long centipede with hooked spikes all over its body and three black antennae on each side of its head. It had ten red eyes on its head and a sharp mandible. Its many short legs scuttled on the ground quickly. Jim didn't think of attacking it, the spikes on its body seemed dangerous. He decided to call the creature Scepnet and watched it closely.
The scepnet went towards a hole and tentacles of a temcles wrapped around each other like a rope came out. The two stood still against each other. Jim became excited, he wondered who would win. Time passed but nothing seemed to happen, the two of them stood still against each other.
Jim was getting tired of watching and he wanted to eat but he didn't dare go out and let them notice him. The scepnet suddenly moved its head and shot a spray of purple strings. The temcles tried to recede its tentacles but the purple string landed and seared its dark tentacles. A screech of pain sounded throughout the cave.
Jim determined that the sound would attract more creatures. He receded further back into his hole and watched the cave. The scepnet saw the temcles struggle in pain and it rushed in. Its mandibles and legs pierced and cut at the temcles tentacles.

The temcles whipped and slammed its tentacles around but the armor and hook spike of the scepnet block and tore at the temcles tentacles flesh. The temcles screeched and struggled more in pain. The scepnet cut and tore at its tentacles and its cries became weaker and weaker. Soon, the scepnet came close to the temcles mouth and proceeded to spray purple string inside it.
The surrounding became silent, Jim sniffed the air. He was bigger than the scepnet and his unknown knowledge told him that the scepnet had most likely lost a lot of stamina in its fight. Jim wanted to attack the scepnet but the pain that would come from its hooked spike would hurt him pretty badly and he hesitated.
He decided not to attack and just watch, maybe something would come to attack the scepnet. Thinking of the scepnet tiny mouth, Jim concluded that it would most likely take a long time to finish its prey.
After a short while, the scepnet crawled out of the hole and this surprised Jim, did it finish its prey that fast. Something seemed strange to Jim. Looking around the cave, he saw that the screech didn't attract anything.
After the scepnet left the cave, Jim decided to risk it and headed towards the hole it killed the temcles in. As he got closer to the hole, he felt an odor that made his head nauseous, it seems the sceptnet was trying to protect its kill.
Jim became hungry and rushed in. As he got closer to the end of the hole, he saw temcles tentacles that had been cut and bruised lying around. He picked a few up and ate them. When he got close to the temcles body, he saw that there were a bunch of black orbs lying around in its mouth. His unknown knowledge told him that the black orbs were most likely scepnet eggs.
Jim came close to the scepnet eggs, he saw that there were a bunch of them. He wanted to try them out but the idea that they might be harmful to eat came up in his mind. Jim sighed, he still decided to try them out. He opened his jaw and bit at one of them. It tasted delicious to Jim and he gained 0.1 void essence.
Jim immediately became very happy and proceeded to eat away at the eggs. A loud screech came from outside the hole, it seemed the scepnet had come back and detected his presence. Jim quickly devoured a lot of Scepnet eggs and he gained a total of 10.9 void essence. Seeing that the scepnet was rushing into the hole, Jim quickly upgraded his stats.

Feeling powering coursing through his body, Jim became confident and rushed towards the scepnet. The scepnet seemed surprised by Jim’s charge and Jim crunched his jaw on the scepnet head. His fangs pierced and broke its head armor and killed it instantly.
The scepnet became motionless and Jim became happy. He looked at all the food he had left and became filled with joy, after this meal, he would become much stronger.
Days passed and Jim ate and slept peacefully. After he had finished eating everything, he got up ready to hunt again. He had gained 40 void essence after eating everything and he used them all on his stats. His new stats gave him great confidence. His three-meter long body that was one meter tall moved out of the cave, ready to crush anything small.

"I'm Screwed" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This story uses the system derived by Puddles4263 in Randidly Ghosthound. I've incorporates the Path's system into the leveling of this story. Some of the beginning paths will be similar or the same as I thought that the starting paths were very logical on how a system should start. The stories will be completely different as the characters and story arcs will be completely different. Again, thank you Puddles for allowing me to use your system, really appreciate it! I also wanted to thank ProFound Magician. Has a lot of insight into a story development and as his system is based on Ghosthound, I saw a some beginning stage skills that should be thought of in a character just starting out. If you haven't yet read Ghosthound or Genesis System you're in for a real treat when you do! Thank you both I hope my use is seen as an homage in the beginning. Hopefully my story can live up to the system.
