Many days passed and Jim woke up with strength coursing through his body. He looked around and saw black liquid matter around him that was most likely his waste. The waste didn't seem to have a smell to it and it seemed to make Jim feel comfortable.
He looked at the mostly rotten skound in front of him and felt disgusted but proceeded to eat. He ate in silence while being alert, he was in a hole at a dead end and anything could come in a kill him. After finishing everything from the bones to the blood, Jim checked his status and used all his void essence.

Feeling full, Jim went back to sleep. After many fewer days, Jim woke up hungry. He looked around the hole and knew he had to hunt to grow stronger, he didn't know what was outside the hole, but he hoped nothing too strong attacked and killed him. Steeling his courage, Jim moved towards the entrance of the hole.
When he got close to the hole, he made sure to hide and look around the cave. Nothing seemed to move in the cave and Jim slowly moved out. His sharp four-fingered front leg and sharp four-toe hind legs were ready to run at any moment.
Jim looked around and saw that there was no creature in the vicinity. He sniffed the air with the tiny hole on his skull and smelled faint traces of skounds passing by. Looking at the two directions the cave led, Jim decided to hunt in the holes instead since there were probably smaller creatures in them.
Jim looked around the cave and saw a steep slope leading up to a hole. He went towards it cautiously and when he got to the entrance, black tentacles as big as his hind leg shot out of the hole and wrapped onto him. Jim panicked and proceeded to bite at the tentacles. The tentacles were strong and they slowly pulled him into the hole.

After tearing at the tentacles' flesh enough time, Jim was able to severe one of the tentacles that squirmed around like it was still alive, the tentacles with the stump bleed severely but quickly clenched and tighten to stop the bleeding. Even with one of its tentacles severed, the creature didn't let go of Jim, it seemed to be really hungry.
Jim kept tearing at the tentacles' flesh as his fear grew larger. Looking deeper into the hole while biting at the tentacles, Jim saw a circular mouth as big as his body filled with purple flesh, dark fangs, and nine tentacles around it.
Fear grew deeper in Jim’s heart and he proceeded to tear flesh faster off the rubbery tentacles. Soon, only two tentacles on Jim were left and he severed both of them. The tentacles had dragged him close to its mouth and its mouth seemed ready to eat him from the way it closed and open.
Jim breath out tiredly, the struggle had drained much of his energy and he currently wanted to rest. Looking at the squirming severed tentacles around him, Jim opened his jaws and started eating them. As he ate, he watched the tentacle's mouth closely and saw that it had stopped trying to bite him. After he was done eating all of the tentacles, Jim felt his void essence rose by a lot, he checked his status.

Remembering his tiring struggle and weak attacks, Jim decided to use his void essence on endurance and strength.

Jim turned towards the tentacle mouth, he wondered if he could take it on. Still feeling tired, he decided he would attack the tentacle mouth another day. He carefully went back to the original hole he rested at and slept.

A few days passed and Jim woke up, it seems he digested his food faster if his stats were higher. He carefully went out of his hole and went towards the tentacles mouth hole, he decided to call the creature Temcles. He reached the hole and went inside.
After traveling in far enough, he saw the temcles, but it was dead, it seemed to have died of starvation. Thinking back, Jim realized the creature could have easily killed him if it wasn't starving. The reason it was starving was most likely because this cave was filled with them so creatures avoid the area.
Feeling quite lucky, Jim went towards the temcles and bit one of its tentacles, its tentacles moved and Jim quickly backed off with a little fear. He expected it to move but it still shocked him when it did. Feeling a little scared and confident, Jim went to the remaining tentacles of the temcles and proceeded to eat them.
The temcles seemed to want to withdraw its tentacles but it couldn't since it didn't have enough room in the back. Jim kept tearing at its flesh and it kept bleeding, slowly but surely, the temcles started weakening more. After a while, it stopped moving entirely and Jim proceeded to eat the flesh of its mouth.
Feeling almost full, Jim wonder if he can pull out the temcles so he could sleep in the space behind it, he didn't want to sleep with its mouth facing his body. Jim bit the mouth of the temcles and started pulling. The temcles body was heavy and Jim had to pull its body with great force to move it.
After a while, Jim pulled it out far enough that he could pass by its body and go behind it. As he passed by the body, he saw that its body shape was a hardened flesh cone two times bigger than him. Jim proceeded to eat the top of the cone till he couldn't and felt sleepy. Before he slept, Jim opened his status, he needed to spend his void essence.

Jim looked at the energy and didn't feel like upgrading it, he felt more confident in his body. Seeing that he ate faster because of his jaw and could eat more because of his endurance, Jim decided to upgrade the those two.

Void essence coursed through his body and he felt bigger and stronger. Feeling the increase in power, Jim felt wonderful and more confident. He looked at the remaining corpse of the temcles, when he woke up again, he would finish eating it. Thinking of his next meal, Jim became happy and slept right away.
Two days passed and Jim woke up excitedly. He looked at the temcles and proceeded to happily eat. After eating most of everything with some tiny leftover, he was full and he gained 7 void essence. He quickly used them on strength, endurance, agility, and fell asleep.

This story aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. Although this story takes a lot of things from the G1 cartoon, it is by no means strictly G1 toon oriented and introduces characters and/or ideas from other continuities (Sentinel Prime, Jhiaxus, Thunderblast and Rook (not the Autobot Rook - the other Rook!). Set primarily on Cybertron and Alternity City, it also deviates from certain key elements common in Transformers canon. For one thing, the general consensus that all Autobots are good and all Decepticons are bad is challenged, and a new meaning to the motivations behind their conflict is offered (which is a recurring theme in my Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universes). Some personalities have been altered from their canonical profiles as a necessity (Megatron being the most obvious example) and developed to a much deeper level than the original cartoon allowed.
