《Multi Me Myself And I》Ch. 82 Fogalis Darkness

JJ reached the end of the trail and found a hole covered in flora. He didn't hesitate and jumped into it. He landed on a soft comfy earth and he looked around. There were blue mushrooms and vines that gave out blue light. Dots of light floated around in the air. There was a tunnel that led deeper underground. JJ walked slowly and quietly into the tunnel.
The light got brother and brighter, the cave seemed to be full of blue life. There was silence all around, a kind of silence that unserved JJ. But JJ was confident, the four of them had regained their cellular control back in the world filled with Rilt and if worse comes to worst, they could always use broken power or possession.
JJ came to a circular dirt stair. Down the short stairs, he could see five children sleeping on a pile of blue flora. Two black haired boys, one brown haired boy, one black haired girl, and a blond haired girl.
By the children was a humanoid grotesque creature standing at two meters tall. It was fat and big with black nails on each of its four toes and fingers. The short white hair on its body made it seem fuzzy and friendly. Its giant sharp nose and wide mouth gave it an ugly but symmetrical appearance.
As the children slept, its pitch black eye stared at them. JJ didn't know what the creature was and the creature looked up towards him with its pitch black eyes. JJ didn't flinch from its gaze and he gazed it down with his orange eyes.
“What kind of creature are you?” asked JJ.
The creature stayed silent for a moment.
“I am an Owdler,” the Owdler replied with a quiet child-like voice.
“Could you release the children?” JJ asked.
The Owdler revealed its sharp serrated teeth, its eyes blackened more with hatred. It spoke with a childish high pitch rage.
“They are my friend, they will be with me forever.”
“If you don't release them, I'll kill you,” JJ said coldly.
The Owdler became fearful of JJ under his fiery orange gaze. JJ started walking down the stairs slowly. The Owdler was filled with fear upon seeing him walk down. As JJ got further down the stairs, he could see the skulls of children that died long ago.
“How many children have you killed,” asked JJ.
“None,” the Owdler replied with fear.
From the cracked skull, broken bones, and holes in the skulls, JJ could tell the children had been given a brutal death. Perhaps this world was harsher than he thought, JJ thought to himself.
“You are a very bad liar,” JJ said calmly.

The Owdler realized its lies had been exposed and it rushed towards the children. JJ sighed and the Owdler stopped moving. It didn't know why, but it just couldn't seem to move anymore, its body just wouldn't listen to it.
JJ came close to the Owdler and the Owdler started feeling immense pain. The pain came from the spores JJ released when he laid his eyes on the creature. The spores ate away at the Owdler cells and paralyzed them. It fell to the ground and wanted to screech in pain but it couldn't.
“I don't want to eat you,” said JJ, “but this is for science.”
JJ came up to the Owdler and placed his hands on its head. The skin, tissue, blood, and anything organic started draining into JJ’s hand. The Owdler gazed at him as it died with calm hatred.
“If you were a human,” said Jack, “things might have been different.”
“I was,” the Owdler said with its last dying breath.
“That does make me feel bad a little,” JJ replied calmly and quietly.
The light in the creature's black eyes disappeared and its breath faded away. JJ pulled his hand away and looked towards the children with a sigh. The Owdler behind him became a husk that seemed to be decaying. JJ walked towards the children.
“Skreeeeeeeeee,” the Owdler got up and attacked.
It spammed JJ into the ground and clawed quickly at him. JJ was surprised and shoved the Owdler away from him.
“Interesting,” JJ said with a smile and a mad gaze.
The Owdler got up and rushed towards him again. Blood secreted from JJ’s fist and harden like crystal. JJ shot his fist forward and the Owdler’s head flew cleanly off. It slammed into the wall and broke apart. Its headless body fell to the ground and stopped moving.
“Let's get out of this creepy hole,” said Jack.
“Agreed,” said JJ.
A giant four fingered hand broke through from the wall and grabbed JJ.
“How dare you kill my soooooon,” the mother Owdler screeched from within the wall.
“Jill dear, could you incinerate it?” Jelly asked.
Jill took control and electricity surged out from her body. The mother Owdler was shocked in pain. The electrical surge didn’t hit the children and it burned through the surrounding ground. The mother Owdler couldn't take the pain and died. Jill pried herself out of its giant hand and walked towards the children.
She patted every one of them lightly on the face. Their little hand moved towards their face and they started rubbing their eyes. Seeing Jill, they became a little scared since she was a stranger.

“It's okay, I'm here to rescue you,” said Jill.
They looked around their surroundings and saw burnt ground with a few skulls. The skulls made them fearful and they wanted to move closer to Jill.
“Don’t be afraid, I've killed the bad monster already,” said Jill, “can you walk?”
They stood up and nodded, they looked around themselves and were fearful.
“How come none of you are saying anything?” asked Jill.
The children tried to speak but they couldn't, they became confused and realized they couldn't speak. It seemed something had taken their voice away.
“Let's not worry about that,” said Jill, “let's take you home, follow me closely.”
Jill started walking and they followed after her closely. Wherever Jill walked, the children would stare at their surroundings with curiosity and fear. They soon reached the hole Jill came into and Jill punched at the ground till it sloped enough for the children to walk out.
Jill walked out of the hole and the children walked out one by one. The surrounding was dark and fear enveloped the children's heart.
“Follow me closely and quietly,” said Jill.
They nodded and followed quietly after her. While they followed her, they heard no sound and the silence made them afraid.
“Do you know why this forest is called the silent forest now?” Jill asked quietly.
The children nodded. The forest had a history of always being silent and those that disturbed it usually didn't ever return.
“Let's hope nothing bad happens, if it does happen, I'll protect you,” Jill said with a calm smile.
Soon, they reached the edge of the forest and they saw light. The children wanted to run out of the forest but Jill put her finger to her mouth.
“Stay quiet, or you can’t leave the forest,” said Jill.
The children realized their mistakes and proceeded to stay quiet. Once they were close to the light, the children stepped into the light and they smiled. Far from the silent forest in the plains by the river, they could see their village.
“I'm free,” said the brown haired boy.
“Ahahahahaha,” the black haired girl laughed.
The five of them hugged and laughed with each other. They were very happy to be alive and they planned on never returning to the forest again.
“Go home quickly,” said Jill, “I still have something to do.”
“What do you have to do?” The blond haired girl asked.
“That's a secret,” Jill said with a smile.
The children nodded and thanked her. They quickly left and went towards their village. Jill smiled happily as they went home. After the children were far enough and close to their village, Jill turned her head back towards the forest with a cold gaze. Seeing the skull of children’s in that hole really pissed her off, she wanted to burn down the entire forest.
“I know what your thinking,” a wise voice with a feminine and masculine came from within the forest.
Jill was surprised and calm, anything weird at this point was fine.
“I suggest you leave,” said the voice.”
A giant pale green humanoid face with pale green eyes and grass-like hair came out from behind a giant tree. Its six long fingers with sharp long pale green nails grabbed at the tree softly. Jill could tell the creature was at least fifty meters tall.
“You will most definitely regret it,” it said with a calm threat.
“What creature are you?” Jill asked.
“I’m a Fogalis, this forest lord,” said the Fogalis.
“Why didn't you stop the creatures in the forest from harming the children,” said Jill.
“I did not know of it,” said the Fogalis.
Jill stepped into the light and the forest darkness no longer covered her. The creature seemed to have sensed her thought before she stepped into the light and it narrowed its eyes with anger. Its mouth twisted with fury and cruelty.
Jelly had a hypothesis that the creature could hear Jills thought when she was in the forest darkness. When she was in the light, the creature should no longer be able to hear her.
“Don't try,” the Fogalis said as it moved out from behind the tree.
Its bent hind legs with green fur and green hoove stomped on the forest ground. Its humanoid pale green upper body showed flexibleness and speed. Its humanoid face and grassy smooth long hair floated all around its head. Its pointed sharp ear gave it a harrowing face.
Jill spat in her right hand and closed it. The Fogalis stared silently at her. The spit in Jill's hand would ignite any flora it came in contact with. Jill gazed into the Fogalis eyes calmly.
“What's my chance of beating this Fogalis?” Jill asked inside her consciousness.
“About about one in a three hundred and sixty-four thousand without broken power, possession, or cellular control,” replied Jelly.
Seeing that she couldn't beat the Fogalis, Jill turned around and left for the village. The Fogalis went back and hid behind a tree, it watched Jill walk away closely and it then disappeared into the dark forest.

I will still be writing in the meantime and creating a backlog, but I won't be posting chapters. I apologize for this. I wish there was another way. Note: This story has multiple POVs, but the main one is Jericho. The MC grows and develops throughout the story and isn't instantly OP. I try to write ~1500 words per chapter but I write according to what I feel is suitable. (Could be more. Could be less). The content warning tags are mostly for flexible writing, but do expect it or something of the sort. This is a story suitable for older teens and adults.
