《Multi Me Myself And I》Ch. 76 Old Gine

Jack woke up on a bed in a pristine high-class room. He was in the body of an old man who seemed to be an experienced fighter, the old man wore a gown and seemed fairly healthy. He looked around and sighed. The Rerved had been too fast, the body he had been in wasn't fast enough.
“Hey guys,” Jack said in his head.
“What's up?” they replied.
“You wanna stay and relax in this world, I feel like my head is heavy,” said Jack.
The other three of them became silent. They suspected that Jack was currently being influenced by the energy of this new world.
“Yeah, let's stay, I don't see any harm in that,” said Jill.
“We’ll stay, but if the day ever comes, we’ll try to leave this world,” said JJ.
Jelly agreed with the others and said nothing. Jack got up and went to a closet in the room. He opened the door and saw many high-class clothing. He took a black suit, a pair of black pants, a pair of black shoes, and wore them. Before he headed out of the room, Jack searched through the old man's head for his memories.
The old man was a duke of the Lyrain empire, his name was Gine Will Light. Gine was a war general and he fought in a war thirty years ago. Jack searched through the man's memories and fully learned everything about him. He learned of the new energy in this world called Rilt. Rilt was an energy just like mana from Tesra's world, however, it did not follow will easily like mana, which made it harder to control.
“Not a bad life,” Jack thought to himself.
Jack went out of the bedroom and down the hallways. He was currently hungry and he wanted to eat. He went down huge stairs and into a huge room with a chandelier hanging from the top. Jack wondered how they lit the chandelier and decided that they most likely used a ladder.
A maid who had woken up for her duty saw Jack and bowed. Jack didn't look at her and kept walking. He reached a dining hall that had a long table with many chairs, there were many exotic foods on the table and they seemed tasty. There were ten servants in the dining room standing still and waiting to attend to Jack's needs, they seemed calm and ready. Jack sat in a chair at the head of the table and started eating at a steak with a fork and knife.
Jack ate in silence and the servant remained silent. A few minutes passed and a seven-year-old child with white hair and white eyes came in. The child had a cute face and seemed innocent. The child's name was Abas Will Light. He was wearing a tiny white suit with a tiny white pants.
Abas walked to the table and sat in a chair. He did not smile or speak, his eyes were calm. He looked at his grandfather Gine, something seemed different about him today. Growing up, his grandfather always seemed cold and indifferent. He had heard the stories about his grandfather, a great man who fought like a hero.

Abas was about to eat some food when his sister came in. His sister's name was Gala Will Light and she was the eldest child at nineteen years old. She had long white hair with white eyes, she was beautiful. She wore white a dress with a short white skirt and she had a white sword in a scabbard by her left side. Everyone in the family wore white, except for their grandfather.
"Good morning grandfather," Gala said in a beautiful voice.
Duke Gine nodded and Gala took her seat by Abas. Gala was cold and indifferent like their grandfather, but she treated Abas kindly. The two of them were the only children of their parents still in the house. They started eating and their parents soon came in.
Their father's name was Nade Will Light the father, and their mother's name was Yenna Will Light. Both had white hair and white eyes. Nade was Gine's blood child, and Yenna was a far-off family branch member. They greeted grandfather and sat down and ate.
"Father, should we debut Abas at the nobles gatherings?" Nade asked.
Gala widened her eyes but soon calmed down, Abas remained calm and said nothing. The debut would make Abas known to society and he would have to enter the world of nobles. Gala didn't like the world of nobles, there were always schemes everywhere.
"Go ahead," Jack replied to Nade.
Nade became happy at Gine's reply while Yenna became worried.
"Isn't it too early," Yenna said worriedly.
Nade turned towards Yenna and shook his head.
"The sooner he enters, the better," replied Nade, "when I was his age, I already debuted."
Yenna nodded worriedly and looked at her son, she hoped nothing bad happened to him. Jack finished eating and was about to walk out of the dining hall.
"Grandfather, can you teach me the family swordsmanship?" Abas asked.
Jack stopped and wondered whether he should teach the kid or not. He had nothing better to do, but he still didn't feel like teaching the kid.
"Ask your father," Duke Gine replied and left.
Abas held his tiny fist tightly, he turned his head towards his father and his father nodded.
Jack went to a garden with hedge mazes, the warm sun shined on everything and Jack felt a little happy. A white cat jumped out from the hedge and came towards Jack. Jack brought up the cat and held it in his arm like a baby.
He walked into the maze and soon reached a building. There was a long chair in the building, it could swing back and forth. Jack sat on the chair and swung back and forth. Everything seemed wonderful, he just needed some music now.
"Bring a musician," Duke Gine said to a servant hidden outside the building.
The servant carried out his orders quickly and brought back a musician. The musician was a pretty blond hair woman who was from the Zali Daz family, she played the violin. The Zali Daz family was an Earl family and they sent their daughter Dalina Zali Daz to the Will Light family to build a connection.
Dalina played beautiful violin music and Jack relaxed. Searching through his memories, he saw that this was the first time Dalina played music for him. She most likely had a motive and would act on it once she was done playing.

Time went by quickly and the music ended. Dalina was about to play another song but hesitated. It seemed she wanted to say something. Jack looked at her and she calmed herself.
"Duke Gine, would you be willing to listen to a family proposition of mine," said Dalina.
Jack sighed inside but nodded on the outside. Dalina seemed to brighten up at his response.
"My family would like to acquire a mine but others are competing for it. If you were to support our side at the gathering and we win the mine, we will offer you a cut of thirty percent," said Dalina.
Thirty percent wasn't bad for Jack and he nodded. Dalina became happy and she proceeded to keep playing music. Her slender hand and fingers soon became tired but she didn't stop, if she stopped, Duke Gine might go back on his words. She played on for hours until Jack spoke.
"You are dismissed," said Duke Gine.
Dalina nodded thankfully and quickly left.
"Do you think she has a talent for Rilt?" Jack asked inside his head.
"She does," said Jelly, "when she was playing, she used Rilt in her music."
The Rilt in Dalina music made Jack calm and happy. If it were not for the Rilt in the music, Jack probably wouldn't have agreed to her proposal since he felt like it was pain.
"I've finished analyzing most things about Rilt," said Jelly.
Jelly created a mental status screen and they checked their status.

Since each point in strength represented the strength of one grown man, duke Gine could be considered extremely strong. In the entire Lyrain empire, there was only five known tier 7. The five tier 7 were the pillars of the Lyrain empire and they were revered by the citizens of the empire.
Weeks passed and the nobles' gathering was close. The gathering was held every year and it was held to discuss and plan for the future of the empire. Duke Gine's family and some of their servants got in carriages and were escorted by one hundred tier 1 armored horsemen and one tier 3 commander. Each tier one had the power of one hundred men and they were a force to be reckoned with.
In one of the ten carriages, Abas was reading a book while his sister sat criss-cross and absorbed rilt. The trip to the capital of the empire where the gathering would be held would take a few days. Days passed and they were close to the capital.
One day something happened on the trip. Assasins rushed out from the woods and attacked. The armored horsemen were prepared and they fought back. The assassin tried their best but they couldn't harm a single armored horseman.
The commander of the Will Light family leading the trip caught three assassins and tied their hands and feet with a rope. Gala headed out of her carriage and the commander bowed to her.
“Tell me who sent you and I’ll give you a painless death,” Gala said coldly.
The assassins said nothing and Gala pulled out her sword. She was about to kill them when her grandfather walked out of his carriage with a cane. The way her grandfather walked seemed sickly and weak. He didn't look like the war general he use to be.
Her grandfather came up to the assassins and she backed off. Duke Gine looked into the assassin's eyes and they flinched away. He then looked around the forest.
“I know where you are, I'll give you ten seconds to run,” Duke Gine said loudly.
A second passed and nothing happened. Two seconds passed and nothing happened. Three seconds passed and there was a rustling. Four seconds passed and there were running footsteps. Ten seconds passed and no sounds were left.
“It seems some of you have decided to stay,” said Duke Gine.
Jack looked back at the three assassins in front of him.
“Do you have a family?” Duke Gine asked.
They shook a little and Jack smiled. The assassin looked at Jack’s smile and they trembled.
“I guess your family is waiting for you at home,” Duke Gine said with a smile, “if you don't return, I wonder what’ll happen to them.”
An arrow flew and Duke Gine caught it. The soldiers around him made a protective formation.
“It seems you’re not willing to abandon your friends,” Duke Gine said slowly and loudly.
Duke Gine snapped the arrow in his hand and the assassins in front of him flinched.
“What should I do with you three, I wonder,” Duke Gine said as he pulled out a blade from his cane.
Jack looked at the blade he was holding, it seems to be made of some kind of material that glowed. A hawk flew above the road and screeched. Duke Gine looked up at the hawk and back at the assassins.
This was the first time in ten years that Duke Gine had left his home for the nobles' gathering. The assassins probably thought he wasn't coming this year so they were going to assassinate his family for some plans they had.
Looking at the assassins, Jack could tell they were skilled. They probably thought that the one hundred armored horsemen were normal people and not actually all tier 1.
From afar in the forest, Jack heard light footsteps. The footsteps soon reached the road.
“Are you here to save your friends?” Duke Gine asked aloud.

8 200The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology. I'm a young 17 year old writer and I am new to the site so I will appreciate your comments and reviews. Thank you very much.
