At a slow snail pace, the punch came. She tilted her head to the side and slammed her fist into Jay's face. Jay did not fly back and Tesra did not pull her fist away. The two stayed in silence with only the wind blowing the sand.

Jay quickly back away from her and smiled. He spoke with a hearty voice. "Looks like you've finally entered the zone. Now then, I'll get a little more serious."

He attacked and Tesra entered the zone. This time, none of Jay attack landed while every one of Tesra attack landed. They fought like this for one day. After a day, Jay stopped attacking her.

"Jay, why don't you enter the Zone?"

Jay laughed, "don't get to over confident. I'll enter the zone when you have everything that I want to give you."

Tesra nodded and Jay got into a new battle stance. "I call this fighting style, Fake News."

Jay sent a punch and Tesra entered the zone. She tried to dodged Jay punch and felt her face getting punched. More punch came from Jay and Tesra punched at him. Her punch landed on him but she felt she hit nothing.

Then something happened that made her mind stunned. Jay seemed to grow six arms which punched forward at once. She tried to find the real one but she couldn't, all six punch landed and all six punch felt real.

Jay spoke while smiling. "Look at the motion of my body when I attack, you'll find the truth there." Jay got into Fake News battle stance again. "If you can't find the truth, you can only be a mindless sheep."

Jay attack and she looked at his body. A punch came from Jay but Tesra saw that Jay body shouldn't allow for such punch. She let the punch hit her and she felt nothing. Looking at the motion of Jay body, she could tell where the punch came from.

Opening her hand, she grabbed something where there was nothing and felt she had grabbed onto Jay's fist. This didn't make her happy as she knew a kick was coming. Tesra did a back flip over Jay and punched down onto his head which he dodged to the side,

Tesra hopped away from Jay and created distance between the two of them. "Well done," Jay said with a small smile. "Now then, let's see whether you can determine the real truth with a bunch of truth sprinkled onto my Fake News."

Jay got into battle stance and attacked. She tried to detect the lies but she couldn't, his body and punch was mostly pointing towards the truth. A punch came and sent her flying. She coughed up some blood.

She looked at Jay with determination and attack. Her attack this time imitated his Fake News. Jay laughed at her and spoke. "You adopted Fake News, I was born and raised by it."

Jay dodged her fake attacks and landed a punch onto her which sent her flying. Jay grinned and spoke, "if you want to imitate me, your going to have to act like a monkey."

Tesra heard what he said and tried to act like a monkey. Jay became flustered and laughed, Tesra saw this opening and sent him flying with kick.

Jay stopped flying and smiled at her. "That's a dirty fighting style, we're not even there yet and you've already started. That's fine though, let's see if you can can fight against a combined fighting style of mine, Dirty Fake News."

Fake attacks came towards Tesra, she tried to counteract them but Jay stomped on her foot. She was stunned for a moment in pain and Jay's attack landed. She was sent flying and she stopped a short distance.

Looking a little bitter, she spoke. "How many fighting styles do you have?”

Jay shrugged his shoulder and spoke. "A bunch I guess."

The two then proceeded to attack each other. The fight went on for days until Tesra could counteract every one of his attacks. During their fights, he changed fighting style after fighting styles.

They stopped fighting after both of them couldn't hit each other anymore. Jay had a thoughtful look on his face with his battered body. He looked at Tesra and spoke, "I have many more teachings left, but I only plan on teaching you two of them."

Tesra was a little sad and nodded. Jay looked at her calmy and spoke, "this one might be a bit too hard for you to learn or imitate, but I hope you can learn it. I call it, Broken Power. There are three stages or levels to it; there is add power, multi power, and finally, expo power."

Tesra looked at him getting ready to fight but he still spoke. "If you can master Broken Power, then there should not be a single person who can fight one on one against you on the same rank unless they've also mastered Broken Power. Should you fully master Broken Power, I'll teach and give you my final lesson which is a power greater than Broken Power. I call it Twisted Power. Now then, get ready."

She got ready and Jay attacked. She sent a fist forward and collided it with his fist. Her fist bones broke and was pushed back. She wasn't stun by her broken fist though, she felt that Jay's fist had equivalent powers to hers, but it actually had more firepower.

Jay saw that she was stunned and spoke. "This is the first level, add power; a single fist punch is equivalent to ten fist punch."

Jay sent another punch which collided with her left arm and shattered the entirety of it. Tesra screamed in pain but she kept herself sane trying to hear Jay's word.

Jay spoke as she recovered from the pain. "That was the second level, multi power; a single punch is equivalent to a hundred punch."

Jay brought his fist back and sent another punch. This punched wasn't aimed at Tesra and it created an entire canyon. The canyon stretched on for as far as the eye could see. One could see that the canyon was really deep and that only darkness was in it.

Jay spoke as Tesra felt stunned. "That was the third level, expo power; a single punch is equivalent to a 10000 punch. A rank 1 that has mastered expo power can multiply their power by itself one time, a rank 2 two times, a rank 3 three times, a rank 4 four times, a rank 5 five times, and so forth and on. Expo power isn't as useful as add or multi power at lower rank like rank 1, rank 2, or rank 3, but as your rank grows, expo power becomes exponentially stronger."

Tesra didn't speak, she just tried to process the words Jay said. After a while, she spoke, "how is this possible?"

Jay thought for a moment and answered. "You know how gunpowder is made right?" Tesra nodded, she had learned about gunpowder in Bikal.

Jay spoke on, "Gunpowder is made from many types of components that can't do much on their own. A wind spell can't do much on its own, if you combine it with a fire spell however, it becomes an add spell. If you combine a lighting spell with a water spell, it become a multi spell. Don't get add spells and multi spells mixed up."

Seeing that she was confused, he spoke on. "Let's say you have a wind spell that did 10 damage and a fire spell that did 10 damage, you can combined these two to make them do 20 damage."

Seeing that she was getting it, he went on. "For multi spells, let's say you have a water spell that did 10 damage and a lighting spell that did 10 damage. If you were to combine these two, it would become a multi spell that did 100 damage."

Seeing her realization, he went on to expo spells. "Expo spells are extremely complicated, but it works just like the other two."

Seeing her get ready for the info dump, he went on. "Let's say a wind spell did 10 damage, if a person was rank 1, he could only do 10 damage using an expo spell. If a person was rank 2, he could do around 100 damage. If a person was rank 3, he could do around 1000 damage, a rank 4 around 10000 damage, a rank 5 around 100000 damage, and so on. Keep in mind that all this damage is coming from a spell that only does 10 damage by itself."

Tesra became exited and Jay sighed, he then spoke. "There are dire consequences to using Broken Power though." Tesra became alert about what he said.

He saw that he had her attention and explained. "Using Broken Power can cause a backslash if you aren't focused enough. Backslash isn't a problem with normal spell since they don't require much focus."

Jay saw that she was kind of understand it and explained more. "Using a normal spell is like throwing a ball up and down, using a add spell is like juggling two balls, using a multi spell is like juggling ten balls, and using an expo spell is like juggling a hundred balls. If you drop a ball, the fire power of the spell that you've already formed with hit back at you at full force at close range."

Tesra knew she couldn't juggle well, she thought this made it impossible for her to use Broken Power. Seeing her reaction, he calmed her down and spoke. "Don't worry about not being able to use Broken Power, as long as your in the zone, you'll have no problem using broken power. Now then, shall we start?"

Before he could start, Tesra had a thought and spoke. "What about Twisted Power."

Jay's shrugged his shoulders. "If I had to describe Twisted Power and Broken Power, one can be twisted while the other can only be broken. Don't worry about Twisted Power though, it's not something you can handle. You haven't even learned Broken Power enchantment, curse, and other application of Broken Power so don't worry about it."

Tesra could only nod feeling a little helpless, she had another thought and spoke it out. "How did you come up with Broken Power?"

Jay smiled at her and spoke, "remember Sally?" Tesra nodded, "remember Galvion?" Tesra nodded, "remember how Galvion single handidly defeated hundreds of archangels using a single spell?" Tesra had a realization and nodded, "Galvion most likely used a multi spell against the archangels, I bet he already knows a few expo spells currently; it's the only way he could fight the gods. Now then, shall we start?"

Tesra nodded and Jay sent info into her head about Broken Power. He then also sent info about Twisted Power into her head secretly but she didn't know about that. After comprehending Broken Power, Tesra looked at him wondering what happens next. He saw what she was thinking and smiled softly.

"It's time to say good bye now."

Tesra heart lurched, she took a deep breath and look into Jay's silver eyes with her blue eyes. "Did you love me?"

Jay thought for a moment and then answered. "I've watched you grown and raised you. I'd say I did love you."

Tesra nodded, "thank you." She look back into his eyes and spoke softly. "Will I ever see you again."

Jay shrugged his shoulders. "Probably, but most likely not."

Tesra calmed herself, it seems she would have to live on alone. "Can you give me a hug before you leave?"

Jay nodded and hugged her warmly. He backed off and looked at her. He spoke softly, "goodbye."

"Goodbye," Tesra spoke.

Jay casted a spell and sent her back to the camp. Looking at the destroyed desert, he enjoyed the view of it for a few moment and then disappeared.

After he was gone, the Devouring Desert became silent with nothing but the sound of wind. A space crack opened where Tesra and Jill were once was. Galvion came out of the space crack, he looked around the Devouring Desert that seemed to have been under constant battle. Deciding that he had collected enough info, he left the Devouring Desert and the space crack shut.
