The caravan was out of the Devouring Desert. They came into a lush forest with a mountain in the distance. Everyone immediately started making loud noises as if they've never made noises in their life. The caravan leader became flustered and quickly told them to quiet down.

They were about to resume their journey to the next town when a woman screamed. “My baby, he's gone, where's my baby?”

Everyone looked towards the commotion and saw a rich young woman asking a maid servant where her baby was. The maid servant looked around in fear and confessed.

The maid had forgotten about the baby and had left it in the desert. The rich woman became panicked and filled with fear. She then looked intently at the maid as if she was going to skewer her. Before she could do anything, Jay spoke.

“Hitting the maid won't bring your baby back. What would you give to get your baby back?”

The rich woman looked at him and spoke with some hope. The boy in front of her seemed to always be protected Tesra and the twins so she had some confidence in him.

“I would give everything to get my baby.”

Jay spoke calmly, “you would still want your baby back even if they were currently living in paradise?”

The woman looked confused. “What do you mean by living in paradise?”

“You don't need to know about that. Now answer quickly, do you want your baby back?”

The woman first thought was to not take her child from paradise, but then her emotions came and override her logic. “Yes I want my baby back.”

Jay looked at her boredly and a baby fell from the sky onto the woman's hand. “You’ve chosen poorly, lets see what the demon surge has in store for you and your child.”

Jay, Tesra, the twins, and their horse disappeared from the caravan. The woman became confused and wondered if she had taken something precious from her child. The thought only lasted a moment before she became happy with her child again.

Far from the caravan on a lonely road, the four of them appeared along with their horses. “Lead the way”, Jay spoke.

Tesra led the way and the three followed after her. “Jay, why did you save that baby’s life?”

“Do you want the truth or lies?” Jay asked without looking at her. The twins made sure to listen to the conversation while checking their surroundings for danger.

“Lies,” Tesra spoke.

“The lie would be that I simply wanted to save him.”

“What would be the truth?” She asked intently.

“I wanted to see how far that child could go with my teaching.”

Tesra became surprised. “Your willing to raise another child?”

Jay shrugged his shoulder. “I might as well do it, I don't think you'll let me die anytime soon.”

An arrow came out of the woods towards Jay and Tesra instantly sliced it away with a wind sword slash. “Yes,” Tesra looked towards the wood with killing intent, “i don't plan on letting you die so soon.”

“Stay and protect him,” Tesra ordered the twins, she then flew towards the wood. Jay lazily watched her as she fought against a group of bandits. The bandits were made short work of and died.

Tesra had learned to kill long ago after she found out that a criminal who she spared the life of, went to a victims house and tortured their kids. Ever since that day she wouldn't spare her enemies unless she was sure they were no longer a threat.

After taking care of the bandits, Tesra went to their hideout and came back with a few people. They were all woman's who had been used by the bandits for pleasure. Their clothes were ragged and only a few had fire in their eyes.

“Can you heal them?” Tesra asked Jay.

Jay didn't heal them and sent information into Tesra head about a spell that could heal them. Tesra took and comprehended the spell quickly. She then looked at the damaged womans and casted the spell. The woman's were healed and had life in their eyes again.

Tesra used her telekenis and the trees from the surrounding came together to construct three pristine carriage. All the womans got on the wagon and they set off on their travels again. Tesra did not know where their travels would lead them, all she knew was that the direction Jay pointed them towards was the direction where she had to go to accomplish her goals.

A few days of traveling and they reached a small town. Tesra gave the womans new clothes, money, and sent away. They set their horses in a stable and walked towards a tavern.

They reached the tavern and started having a meal. The meal wasn't from the tavern and were made by Jay. The four of them ate and relax. As they were eating, Jay spoke, “it seems they're here.”

“Who’s here?” Sene asked confused.

Jay kept eating with his small mouth. “The ones who have tracked their destiny with us, they will be the one who will set us off on the adventure to subdue or kill the demon lord.”

“How do you know about this?” Tesra asked genuinely surprised that Jay knew such things.

Still eating, he spoke. “I have collected the intent of the mana and they too have collected the intent of mana in the world. The intent of mana told them that someone who can subdue or kill the demon lord will be in this tavern.

Tesra nodded along with the twins and they became alert. They wondered who their visitor were going to be. They didn't wondered long when a group of people who ozzed confidence came to their table.

The group of people had four people, one female and three males. The female had black hair and looked like a princess. She wore a suit with light plating and a white skirt. Besides her were her body guards. They all wore a long blue suit with light plating on them. By their sides they each had a sword.

“Where is the demon general at?,” Jay asked.

The princess became surprised and spoke politely, “can we introduce each other first?”

Jay nodded and introduced everyone around him. After he was done, the princess introduced everyone around her. Her name was Menai and her body guards came with her to protect her on this long perilous journey.

After the introduction was over, they formed a group and set out to kill the first demon general who mostly likely have information on the demon lord. A demon general was at least rank 2, but Tesra was confident she could take it on alone.

During their travels, water droplet started falling. Everyone except Jay looked at the water droplet amazed. For Tesra, it's been a long since she'd seen rain. For the twins, they lived in the desert so they had never seen rain. Menai and her three bodyguards saw the rain as a blessing against the demon surge.

“It seems the gods are on our side,” Menai spoke happily.”

“The gods?” Tesra spoke and looked at Menai. The twins also looked at Menai, they wondered if the god of water they worshipped was also the god worshipped by Menai.

“Ah, your new around here. Our goddess is Lanolan, for us she is the goddess of harvest and abundance,” Menai spoke with admiration.

“Have you ever seen your goddess?” Tesra asked curiously.

Menai shook her head, “I haven't, but the founder of my kingdom has. Legend has it that our goddess is still alive.”

“Where do you think your goddess disappeared to?” Tesra asked as more water droplet fell. In the sky, everyone could see dark clouds.

Menai spoke in deep thoughts. “I don't know where our goddess disappeared to, I only know that she disappeared about five hundred years ago.”

The twins perked up at what Menai said. Their god also disappeared five hundred years ago.

Sana spoke, “our god also disappeared around five hundred years ago, do you think there's something going on.”

Menai was surprised and answered. “I don't know what goes on in the gods mind.” She looked at Jay who was raising his small hand to touch the raindrop. “Perhaps you would know something about the gods Mr. Jay.”

Jay did not look at Menai, he kept looking at the dark clouds. The dark clouds and the rain droplet made him feel depressed and peaceful at the same. He used a spell and connected his will to the mana of the world. He asked the mana where the gods were. They told him that they were trapped by another powerful god.

Jay answered Menai, “your goddess is currently trapped in a cage by another god, it seems there's nothing she can do.”

Menai became surprised, she felt that Jay had connected with the mana of the world. Because of this she felt that his answer was true. Her bodyguards looked at Jay with suspicion but didn't say anything.

“Mr. Jay, which god has trapped our goddess?”

Jay answered back with a surprised expression. “That would be Galvion.” He then look at her, “do you know him?”

Menai was shocked and surprised, but she did not know Galvion. Tesra however knew Galvion and was surprised. The twins did not know anything about Galvion but felt that the god was impressive from Jay attitude alone.

“Jay, what's Galvion rank?” Tesra asked.

After connecting with the mana of the world again, he answered back with interest. “He is currently low rank 6 and it seems he knows that I've sought out his information.” Jay started waiting while preparing for battle, everyone else tensed.

Jay spoke, “It seems he won't or currently can't bother with us.”

Everyone became calm at his words. That felt pretty tense, even if they had some suspicions against Jay. Jay saw their doubts and spoke. “It seems someone is connected with him has detected my presence. Please stay close everyone.”

None of them could react before the sky tore open and golden light descended on the land. Jay saw the light and knew the demons were going to be attracted to it. From the sky, a single rank low 4 angel descended. The angel had black hair with blue eyes. She wore a golden battle armor suit with a golden halo above her head. By her side was a long golden spear.

She looked directly at Jay and spoke. “Surrender Jay, or suffer the consequences.”

Jay was no longer depressed, he was instead happy. He spoke loudly to the angel.

“Waking Star must have sent you. Most likely to test the waters with a pawn.”

The angel faltered for a moment but steeled herself. She pointed her spears towards him and spoke, “you will suffer the consequences for disrespecting the supreme angel.”

Jay grinned and snapped his finger. The angel and him both disappeared from everyone perspective. Tesra became panicked but calmed herself, she had never seen Jay lost a battle and she didn't think he would start losing now.

Tesra spoke calmy, “come on everyone, let's keep going.”

Everyone numbly followed after her and Menai soon started barraging her with questions.
