[Distant past, Village]

The next day Alda was left in his own thought as he unknowingly walk straight to the tree just right outside of the village's fences

He was thinking about the words that Mia told him when he was down

"Will you be my friend?"

That kind of words kept repeating inside his mind, unbeknownst to him he already arrived under the tree while he was in deep thought

The moment he arrived, he started to look around looking for Mia

As he was looking for her a voice suddenly spoke up above him which caught his attention

"So you returned to this place!"

When he looked up he saw Mia standing up from a branch. Using that as a foothold Mia jumped below and landed safely beside Alda

"So what made you come here?" Asks Mia as she draws closer to Alda

Due to that Alda got a little bit flustered by the sudden approach

"Well... I thought about what you said yesterday but first let me apologize for running away from you... I'm sorry" bowed Alda

During those times when Mia asked Alda to become her friend, the latter was so not into the mood that he belittled her request and ran off to somewhere leaving Mia behind

"Oh that?! Don't mind it! After all it was just in a spur of the moment" replied Mia while attempting to climb back up again

Hearing that Alda felt dissatisfied

"No I'm truly sorry... So if you please! I would like to be your friend" said Alda hurriedly seeing that Mia was about to let go of the matter

When Mia heard this she was stunned for a moment and turning her gaze at him

"What did you say?" Asks Mia

"I said I want to be your friend!" Said Alda as he bowed sincerely

Upon hearing that Mia giggled as she tries.to hold her laugh

When Alda saw Mia's reaction he felt wronged but quickly Mia ascertained him that she didn't meant it that way

"Sorry about that!..." Apologized Mia

With that Alda felt dejected

"If that is the case then...."

Before Alda could finish his words Mia interrupted him

"Sure!"

Hearing that Alda became stunned

"What?" He asks

"I said sure why not?! From this point onward we are friends" said Mia as she smiled childishly

Hearing this Alda felt grateful as he brimmed with enthusiasm and happiness

From that point onwards Alda became friends with Mia and they stay close to each other as much as they could

After few days when Mia and Alda where sitting beneath the tree, they saw a group of adventurers passed by their village with a happy expression

Out of nowhere Mia said

"You know what!!! I want to be an adventurer" she said

"Really?" Asks Alda

"What a coincidence! I was thinking the same thing" added Alda happily

Hearing his reaction greatly surprised Mia

"When I become fourteen years of age I will become an adventurer and become the strongest swordsman there is!" Proclaimed Alda proudly

"Wow! Strongest? That's far fetch" reacted Mia when she heard Alda's proclamation

"It may seem far fetched but I'll make sure that it will happen" said Alda proudly

"What about you?" Asks Alda

At the moment Mia was surprised by Alda's proclamation but suddenly stiffened when she heard his follow up question

"Me?"

After awhile Mia thought about for a second before replying

"I think being an archer would be far more suited for me" she answered

"Archer? Why?" Asks Alda seemingly wanting to know Mia's reason

"Why? Well first of all I want to fight but also keep my safety a priority... With that in mind I can fight with ease and also my flexibility and reaction speed is much more compatible for archery" explained Mia

Hearing her Alda smiled

"Is that so?! Then perhaps since we're both aiming to be Adventurers then we can assume that we will work together? Forever" said Alda as he blushed a little from what he said

Hearing him Mia giggled

"Sure! Let's pride each other that if one is in trouble, the other wouldn't leave him behind... With that we would be able to solve any problem together" suggested Mia happily

Hearing her Alda brightened up as he replied

"Sure! I won't leave you at all" stayed Alda

"Me too" said Mia

~few years later~

After few years passed the body features from both Alda and Mia changed so much

For Alda his looks became more sharper than ever and his built was appropriate for him. The reason for this because everyday he would train his body and his Swordmanship while aiming to be the strongest swordman

As for Mia her body became tall and slender with a little bit of masculinity appropriate for female

This is due to her honing her skills in archery in different perspective making her to be able to snipe like a real sniper

Over the years both Alda and Mia spent most of their time together making them much more intimate than before

Due to this the villagers sometimes teased them of being a couple for the amount of time they spent together

Even thought they don't mind the rumors it still made them a little bit flustered whenever they hear it

As the sun shine brightly both Mia and Alda are taking a cover under the shade of the tree that witnessed their growth since childhood

As they sat side by side Alda suddenly stood up as he said

"Well we're already fourteen years of age and I have already gained permission from my parents to become an adventurer... What about you?" Asks Alda

With that due to the wind Mia's hair fluttered for a little before she replied

"Me? I got my own side to agree of me being an adventurer" answered Mia while smiling at Alda

Hearing her Alda brightened up

"That's great! With this we can be adventurers" said Alda

"Yeah! We will be together... Never abandoning each other" replied Mia as she smiles beautifully

After that they stared at the distance as they awaited their journey

Because of their time together unbeknownst to them a slight affection for each other sprung up inside of them that can be considered as their first love

Days passed and their departure was on the way

They've said they're goodbye's to their families and loved ones in the village

"Son! Take good care of your self out there... Remember we are proud to have you as our son" said Alda's father

"If you ever wanted to come home then just come home okay? We will be waiting" said Alda's mother as she hugged him while tearing up

On the other side Mia was also being consoled by her own parents as they sobbed together as they depart from each other

In reply to his parents Alda said

"You... You guys may not be the best parents in the world that a boy can have but I'm glad you were my parents" said Alda

This time because of what he said, he himself started to tear up as he hugged them one more time

With that both him and Mia headed off while waving their hands at the villagers

As they walked off both Alda and Mia headed straight for the capital to become the Adventurers they always wanted to be

"We're finally becoming Adventurers" said Alda

"Yeah! I remember that we only used to dream about this back when we were kids" replied Mia

"That's true! It's been so long... Finally" exclaimed Alda

After that Mia suddenly putted her hand over Alda's shoulder as she said

"Together we can solve anything" she said

"Yes! Together! Never abandon!" Said Alda as he smiled at Mia while the latter smiles back at him happily
