[Decimated Town]
With Hibiki on the front the group moved carefully as they approached the town only to find it ruined and destroyed
As they saw the dead bodies all over the town may it be from old or young, they couldn't help but gasp in surprise on just how much the perpetrators just massacred the whole citizens of the town
Lily on the other hand clutched beside Mia as she prayed for the souls of the dead, while Hibiki on the other hand instructed to check the bodies if their is any signs of life in hope to find a survivor amidst this destruction
"Just what could've have happened here?" Asks like Luke as he gritted his teeth when he saw a dead body of a male child
"This bastards.... Whoever did this at pure scums I say" commented Alda as he checks the bodies
As they thought of this Hibiki suddenly asks out of nowhere
"Can you guys think of a culprit that could do this?... It's still quite a distance from here to the west border.... In the border there are three villages and one town near it and this town is just way behind it making it impossible for a demon to just arrive here and slaughter all this people" deducted Hibiki as he thought this through
As they thought about this they couldn't help but to agree that the idea is logical, still even with this reasoning they still have doubts whether the demons did this or not
As they thought of this Kaido asks Anna about something
"Do you have a way to find the culprit?" Asks Kaido in a domenearing tone
When Anna heard this she nodded and replied
"I do... Just give me time... I learned a spell when I was young in case such situation arises" she said as she pulls out something from her bag
At that she pulled out a Mana ball in her bag and placed it at the ground
"This will be the medium since casting this spell for a long duration takes a lot of Mana and may result to its caster's death if it's not done properly" explained Anna

As Anna laid the Mana ball at the floor she begun to cast her spell and this caught the attention of the Hero's party causing for them to head near Anna
As they walked near her Kaido puts a halt to their advance as he stopped them with one look
As the brink of its casting the wind around blew wildly as Mana started to become denser in the area
"Past Projection"
As she called out the name of the spell, the surrounding became filled with color of blue and the projection of the reanimation a of the townspeople moved along their sight
"Just what is this spell?" Asks Mia in astonishment
"This spell can bring us back to the time the attack happened and see what had just transpired here" explained Anna as she struggles to concentrate
As the projections moved the company soon realized that the townspeople lived the way they ordinarily lived
As for Kaido he followed the boy who is entering his home only to be surpris d by its parents and greeted it's birthday, the boy was the same boy he found lying In front of the house dead
As he gazed at the happy expression of the family he couldn't help but longed for his past life as he tries to live a normal life with his family
This sudden changed in his mood was witnessed by both Mia and Lily when they peeked at him
In the midst of the night the tragedy happened and the cause of this tragedy was none other than the bandits, but this bandits was not your typical bandits as they're numbers were so huge that it could compare to the kingdoms army
Seeing this number even Alda and Luke were flabbergasted
"Just how could such a huge group be kept unseen by the empire?" Asks Alda
"Didn't the guild even issue a subjugation quest for this?" Added Luke in anger
The bandits intrudes the households and killed all the adult male and when the boy tried to save his mom he was killed on the spot and laid at the exact spot where Kaido saw its corpse

Seeing this Kaido couldn't help but leak out some of its killing intent cashing Mia and Lily to shiver in fear
As for Hibiki he couldn't even help this people for it is only a projection and lamented for his late arrival
"I was suppose to be a hero and this happened last night..... If only I hadn't stop my travel we would have have been able to arrive here and save them.... Damn it!" Muttered Hibiki as he glared at the projections
Hearing this Kaido walked up to him and seems to point out something
"See this? This proves that humans are not always righteous... It's not always that the demi-humans fault for the cause of the humans suffering... Sometimes the humans itself are the cause of its suffering because of their rotten core and system"
Hearing his words Hibiki couldn't help but turn his gaze at him
"What are you...."
Before he could finish his question Kaido stared back at him said
"Before I met you... I have already known what you did to the non humans of this town... And to the you the truth I hate it" muttered Kaido
Hearing him Hibiki soon realized that Kaido knew from the start of what he did so he stared back at him not denying it
Seeing this Kaido ignored him and followed the path where the bandits are dragging the woman
Seeing Kaido following the projection, the others followed suit
And when they arrived at the town's square where the bandits where dragging the women of the town, what they saw surprised them and even made them feel infuriated to the point that they could kill
In order for this kind of group to keep their morale going they dragged all the town's women to the square and raped all of them to the point that they lose consciousness
Kaido even witnessed the boys mother being assualted by numerous bandits and this made him even angrier that the ground beneath him started to crack and arcs of lightning spread out from his body also with the stare that could kill
All women were assaulted until they died from young to old nothing was spared and as they cries of these women reverbrated throughout the town the projectile ended showcasing the aftermath of the event
Bodies of women where everywhere as their corpse laid down on the floor, some where even tied, bondages, hung, impaled and even stretched in four ways leaving them incapable of retaliating
Seeing this Lily paled and lump beside Mia who is also pale while supporting her
As for Hibiki, Alda, Luke they felt bitter as they saw the scene before them, they couldn't even look at the body of the innocent girl who was lying in front of them and was ravaged by numerous bandits
As for Melfina and Anna they were eager to head straight to that army of bandits and kill them for doing this to the women of the town after all they are also women
As for Jack he smiled as he realized that it seems not for long Kaido would order him to kill all of the bandits and seeing their numbers and deeds he wouldn't hesitate to massacre those bandits at all
As Kaido stared at the mother of the boy who died while her eyes are open he gently bent down and closed her eyes before saying
"Let's bury them.... It's at least we could do...." As he said that the company nodded silently as the boys started to work while the girls comforts Lily by the side
After that Kaido pulled Jack to the side and ordered
"Find those bandits especially the guy who was a scar on its cheeks" ordered Kaido as he remembered the boys mother assaulter
"And what do you plan to do when you find them?" Asks Jack in excitement
"Isn't that obvious? I'll kill them alive... I'll show them what he'll looks like" muttered Kaido angrily as he tries to suppress his killing intent to the maximum

They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
