[Lodgings]
As the night descended Kaido stayed in his room to take a rest from the exhibition match
His wounds still has finally close up as the healers helps him healed his wounds, he was finally announced as the Victor of the match thus making the partnership a fact
As he slumps down from his soft chair and cherishes the taste of the wine, a person which has white skin and hollow eyes that looks exactly like him walks around and chatting with him
"Looks like you almost lost? Why don't you use me?" Said hollowed eye person
When Kaido heard this he looked at the hollow eyed person as he sighs
"Why would I need you? Your just some cursed sword from a demon commander... And now your trying to lure me to fall under your control? Pathetic... You don't know how much mental torture I have suffered which strengthen my mind" stated Kaido
Apparently the hollowed eye person was a personal of the cursed sword that chose Kaido as his image giving the reason why the hollow eyed person has the same look as Kaido
"Your no fun! It doesn't hurt just to try wielding me you know...." Said the hollowed eyed person
"Enough!" Exclaimed Kaido
"Just leave... Day by day your getting irritating... If I get full from your constant yammering then I would have no choice but to destroy you" threatened Kaido
Hearing him the hollowed eye person started to laugh as he return a reply
"Destroy me? Feel free to try!" He mocked
After that with a wave of his hand Kaido dispersed the projection making the whole room turn silent
As silent descended a knock came from the door and when he opened it he saw Rebecca on her pajamas looking at Kaido

As he saw her he let her get inside and offered her a sit
The moment Rebecca sat the conversation started
"So why are you here?" Asks Kaido flatly
As he asks that Rebecca jolted up as she replies
"First... I thanked you for avenging my loss and for understanding my situation... But even if you indeed win and I lost my match then I have no choice but to return to my family's side... This might be our last talk so I'm doing this for my sake too" said Rebecca solemnly but with expression of regret on her face
Seeing this Kaido sigh is dismay as he replies
"Why do you think your thinking that this is our last talk? Who gave you the right to leave? Don't think that you can just come and go in this group whenever you want... Cause if you did then that brings shame on us" said Kaido
Hearing Kaido's tone becoming sour, Rebecca tries to appease Kaido
"It's not that... I do want to stay with you guys since you guys are the only persons that I can fully trust in this world..."
Before she could finish Kaido realized something as he interjected in
"It's your mother isn't it!"
Hearing that Rebecca's whole body jolted up
"Look... I'm the one who decides whether you leave or not... don't decide things all by yourselves... I get to call the shots here so you can't leave just like that" said Kaido
At that Rebecca stood up from surprise as she says
"Kaido! He's a Marquez and your a commoner! Your status are huge apart so you can't say that" said Rebecca
"Nobles? Who say that nobles can't get pulled down?... Remember if I want to bring down someone then he will go down... No matter if he is a no or or a royalty they are all the same..." Stated Kaido

Upon hearing that Rebecca has no way to rebuke Kaido at all so she just kept silent as she listens
"If it about your mother the. Leave her to us... I'll do something about that... You can't leave the group and that's final... If your father wants to kill me for that reason then let him! I'll see who dies first between us" said Kaido as he gulp a wine
When she heard Kaido's claim her eyes brightened up as she realized that he would be willing to help her situation
"Kaido you don't have to..."
"Rebecca! My word is final... Don't rebuke it" said Kaido as he stares at Rebecca with his red eyes looking at her
Seeing this she sighs as she smiles back at Kaido
"You've done enough I can't thank you more... I'll remember this debt" she said as she finally held hope that Kaido would help her out of this situation
In reply to her Kaido waved his hand telling Rebecca to leave as he says
"Being a noble is such a pain"
When Rebecca heard that she can only give a wry smile as she herself felt that nobility is such a burden too
As Rebecca left the room turned back to silence again as Kaido relaxes his body under the moonlight

[Marquez household]
~next day~
Standing by the window Marquez Lucio sees off her daughter as she walks away from the Manor
During that day Rebecca arrived at the Manor not to return but to give her father a reply and upon receiving her answer he can't get a hold of her as she stays resolute to cut her bonds to that family completely
"How ungrateful brat! After all I have her to have her enjoy life... And this is what she repays me?" Thought Marquez Lucio angrily
After that he thought of Kaido whom her daughter said that would back her up
"Kaido! Just who are you?"
As he thought this he called upon his Butler as he instructed him
"What is it master?" Asks the butler
"I want you to look up to this Kaido guy... I want to know his origins and also send some spies to their lodgings... There may be a chance that would help us corner him" said Marquez Lucio
Upon hearing that the butler bowed down before he left band did the job
"Understood" it replies
As the butler left Marquez Lucio's gaze went back at the window as he felt something wrong from Kaido
"No matter who you are... I'll find out who you are" he muttered as he grips the ledges of the window tightly

The Trials of Bethany
Bethany, is a young girl who didn't expect anything more from her life than to spend her time churning butter and trying to ignore the abuse of her fellow village members. In any other world this would be a reasonable expectation for a person in the middle ages. But Bethany was lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it. Because her world was about to get a whole lot bigger, and a whole lot scarier. The Trials of Bethany, is a Gamelit story of a system arriving on earth in the middle ages with the characters being teleported away regularly to face trials to earn their skill levels. As such there won't be a flood of skills however there will be constant progression and other hidden treats. The story will be evolving as it's written and as always aspects of the story/world are prone to change. This is my first serious attempt at writing and my first time publishing anywhere so all constructive criticism is welcome. Currently uploading Tuesday & Friday with occasional bonus chapters.

The Shadow Paradigm - Book 1: Project Orb Weaver
Gardening, cooking, innovation, preservation, charity events... Madzistrale, Tom and Gabzryel does it all. But when they encounter the mysterious Shiakar Paradigm Society, a clash of paradigms ensues. Although both groups are aiming to make humanity stand stronger, their ideals and methods could not be further apart. Between the trio's optimistic yet naive ideals, and the SPS's tried-and-true surgical methods, determining the answer which methods can better humanity is a struggle that both parties must resolve in their own ways... Welcome to the 7th revision of my 10+ years ongoing novel trilogy. This revision took out some flawed plot concepts to re-introduce a more down-to-earth, film noir-like ambience, where a battle of wits is what will determine the outcome. It also added instead more in-depth expansion into the lives and mindsets of the characters, especially the heroes (a missing factor in older versions). Third-view limited storytelling was also introduced more prominently over my favoured third-view omnipotent, with each chapters concentrating as much as possible on a single character's point of view instead of head-hopping. So I shall begin uploading the chapters as I finish them; they're edited as much as I can, but there'll most likely be some typos and mistakes. As always, I welcome your comments and critiques, and I hope you enjoy reading that story as much as I did creating it! A parting poem to introduce the story (translated from its original French version): Credit: Les Mots, Mylene Farmer & Seal Firmly, the sky writhes When a mouth begets a death There, I will give my life to hear you To tell you the most tender words When all becomes all alone I'll break my life for a song And to lives that stoop to notice mine I know I will say goodbye But a fraction of this life I would give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives You could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple If one swept the world away One could touch the universe I will tell you how the sun rose high We could with a word become one And for all those words that hurts us There are those that touches us Which illuminates, touches the infinity Even if nothingness exists For a fraction on this life We will give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives We could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple

Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.
