[Eldion Empire, Royal Castle Garden]

~Nightime~

During the night the hero of the human race Hibiki likes to take a stroll through the garden which littered in snow during the sleeping hours of the people in the castle

This time Hibiki stood majestically beside the pond as he looks into the water that reflected his reflection and the starry night sky in the sky

Before his first reincarnation he admired non-human creatures such as beast folks and elves as he lives his normal life after all such creatures are fantasy like imagination to people who lives in an ordinary world

But all of this was shattered during his first life reincarnation, not only does his parents died in the hands of the beastmen but also his friends were killed during the war with the elves and demons when he grew up as an adventurer

Due to this, his view to these non-human existence greatly turned from admiration to disgust, fear, anger, and hatred

When he died in his first reincarnation his soul was summoned to this world as a hero, with insurmountable power coursing through his veins he pledged himself to get rid of the non-human in the empire

At first the people tried to stop him because such species was a great help for the development of the country

After taking their considerations Hibiki announced that such species shall only be captured and exiled in the empire after all he is still a human with feelings

After three months and a half due to his status as a hero he became strong enough to contend against experienced A-rank adventurer to Newly S-rank adventurer

As he wonders about his decisions and actions that he took until now, the sound of footstep echoed through his ear as princess Lily also the healer mage in his party approached him

When he first saw her he was truly captivated by her and immediately fall for her, at that instant he declared his live for her but the princess expression became awkward as she couldn't comprehend the situation

She was only supposed to become a healer mage in the hero's party not his lover, so in the end after few days she said that the hero would need to try his best to make her fall for him in order to answer his courting

The King emperor her father was quite fond of the hero so he didn't stopped the hero from courting the princess as for her queen empress mother she stayed neutralize as she wants her daughter to follow her hearts desire

After that the hero tried to make the princess fall for him everyday which leads to the current situation

"Hero-sama! What are you doing here?" Asks the Lily

With that question Hibiki just stared at her solemnly

"Nothing much! I just want to think of somewhere quietly and suddenly my feet dragged me here before i knew it" he replied

As both of them stares at the starry night sky the hero spoke up

"Do you think that the actions I made up until now we're wrong? Have I gone to far? After all the non-human of these world is different from the non-human in my past world... But somehow I just can't feel at ease" said Hibiki

After pondering for a while Lily replied

"I think that you have your reasons for doing those things! But you should know! Not every person is the same so you can't put everyone on the same page!" Said Lily

After hearing that Hibiki nodded slowly

"Maybe your right but also maybe I'm right!... In this world demons are still the problem... No matter what world they are the roots in all this chaos!" He said

Hearing that Lily sigh

"Like I told you! Don't put everyone on the same page! You never know maybe there is still something much more terrible than demons out there!" Replied Lily

And with that Hibiki looked at her

"Terrible than demons? And what could that be?" He asks

"I don't know! It's just my guess!" Stated Lily

After a few moments of silence the hero mustered up his courage and said

"Lily by the time I return peace to these world I'll make you fall for me and when that time comes will you be my queen and stay by my side?" He asks while gazing at her

Seeing that Lily blushed beet red as she sprinkled him with water from the pond

"Idiot! I already told you! You have to let me fall for you first!" She said embarrassingly

And with that their conversation ended through the night

[Battle arena]

~three days before arrival~

At the peek of the morning the next day the battle arena was crowded as the people spectates a Challenger from a random swordman challenging the hero again inspire of the cold weather

"So how is he?" Asks Luke

"Oh him? He's doing fine... It's just that his opponent this time looks quite strong and he's a double swordsman at that too" replied Alda

"Double swordsman? That guy must be an A-rank at his peak! I knew the day would come when someone from high rank would challenge him" said Luke

~meanwhile~

As for the hero he was getting pushed back into the corner as the double swordsman kept attacking fervently with all of its attack non-stop

With each strike from the double swordsman, made Hibiki take a step back

When the double swordsman leapt back as it crouched, it suddenly launched itself at an incredible speed which could make a lower rank lower his guard

Seeing that Hibiki swung down his sword only to be parried by the opposing party, when it got parried the double swordsman spins around to land a strike to its stomach

Sensing danger Hibiki jumped up high above his opponent and sent light slash at him making the latter take few steps back

When the double swordsman landed Hibiki charged up his Mana as he sent a huge burst of holy impact throughout the arena sending the double swordsman flying out the arena defeated

When Hibiki noticed he won he begun to relax when suddenly the crowd cheered for him and hear some girls trying to catch his attention

When he looked at the double swordsman, the latter already left the arena grounds and went somewhere and seeing this Hibiki just gave a sigh as he returned to his group

[Capital streets]

When the double swordsman left he immediately went to a public restaurant where a person in cloak was waiting for him

When he sat down the person in cloaked asked him

"So how was he?" He asks

"He's strong! Only in his aura but if we include his experience he completely lacks of it! He must have kept winning and never fought against a really strong opponent before! If we put this on the plan I'm confident that went push comes to shove that when I use my hundred percent of my strength, he would be helpless and be defeated easily by me!" Said the double swordsman

"I see so this is your information you got after loosing to him on purpose!" Admired the cloaked person

As he thought this the double swordsman spoke up

"Actually I got more! I heard that the a new rumored demon Slayer from some other kingdom is going to visit the empire in three days time! It is said that the emperor would try to persuade this person to join the hero's party" he said

"Another troublesome person I see... We need to deal with him to prevent that! Get more information about that guy!" Ordered the cloaked person

"Understood!" Said the double swordsman

[South of the empire]

As for our main character, Kaido himself jump up high above the plain field whole some covered in snow, when suddenly a huge worm sprung out from the ground

As it sprung out Kaido teleported beside it and gave it a hefty uplift as he uprooted it and toss it to the sky

When it was airborne it was immediately finished off by both Rebecca and Melfina using different strikes eventually killing it

After a moment Kaido patted the dead corpse as he said

"So what do you think would come out if we cook this one up?" He asks

In return to his question everyone gazed at him as if he was someone who was crazy to just thinking of devouring a huge monster
