Clashes of sword and dying screams of troops from both sides can be heard as the invasion goes on, the streets are littered with the bodies of ones alive comrades only now to be dead corpses

"For the kingdom!!" Roared General Stone as he hacks down an Demon Bear which is two times its size than him

As it fell he started to look around only to notice that the prince can nowhere be seen and the guards that one's pinning down the prince all lay down the ground dead

"Damn it!"

"Sir! More waves of demons are approaching the gates!!! What should we do?" Ask the soldier who sent a report

Hearing the word another made General Stone ache in head ache as he grimaced the difficulty of defending this kingdom

"Deal fast with the demons that are inside! I'll look for the prince so hold the fort for me" ordered the General

"Roger that!" Replied the soldier

As General Stone said that he appointed some soldiers to follow him

The ones cheerful and full of life square now turned ghastly as corpses piled on top of each other as the fight goes on

"Urya!" Said the king as he kills a small demon while the princess killed a insect type demon

As they continued the hacking of the demons they soon found out the terrifying numbers of the enemy

"Father these attacks feels nonstop!" Said princess Ingrid as she took cover from a spell

"I know! This is what war looks like!" Replied the king as he rolled on the ground to dodge the enemies sword attack

As the king dodges he immediately stabs it and pinned it down with his weight until it stops struggling

"We need to kill the leader!" Said the king

The moment he said that a winged demon suddenly flew over followed the houses, due to the demons size he didn't see the prince he's grabbing

"A demon! He's going straight for the castle!" Said the king

"There's only one thing that a demon wants if he were to go to the castle" he added

Hearing him the princess gasp in disbelief

"The soul orb!"

Releasing the soul orbs power could devastate a whole country and turn it into undead land making it one of the dangerous weapon of the beings inthis world

"Stop that demon!" Shouted princess Ingrid

Hearing her multiple knights, soldier, mages, and adventurers intercepted the demon

Seeing the pesky little humans interfering him the winged demon grabbed it's cursed sword and swung it as it hacks the frontline intercepters

Screams can be heard as the demon kills anything that comes near it

Seeing this a grave expression can be seen in The faces of the princess and the king

Noticing the winged demon Rebecca signaled Okou and Melfina to engage the winged demon

Receiving the signal Okou shouted at Reinbach

"Reinbach were going after the scurrying winged demon cover our six" said Okou

Noticing the danger of the winged demon, Reinbach immediately nodded and ordered some soldiers and adventurers to provide cover

"Leave this to us! Go take care of that demon!" Said Reinbach reassuringly

Hearing that Okou nodded back

As the demon flew and passes through the corpses of the soldiers, mages, adventurers he suddenly notices a knife went straight for it's eyes so he maneuvered his flight and dodges it while throwing the prince to the ground

"Go to the castle! Retrieve the treasure you've promised!" Said the demon

Seeing its alarmed state prince Johannes look at the approaching silhouettes and chuckled

"They're just warriors! Can't you take care of them?" He asks

"Don't underestimate the enemy! Now get me the treasure" roared the winged demon

After being roared the prince have no choice but to obey the demon as he ran up to the castle

"You've caught my attention! Since I'm fighting you then I'll have to give you my name to instill fear into you" said the demon

"My name is Agra! The demon commander of first and second platoon of the demon army" he announced

As he said those words he released a horrifying aura of a demon as he stood up to face the three figures

As he scanned them he smirked

"An elf? Together with two humans? Interesting! It reminds me of the war I the past" said Agra

Sensing the danger Rebecca, Melfina, Okou became serious as they positioned themselves

In a split moment Rebecca arrived infront of Agra as she slash up her sword

Reacting to that the Agra dodges it, at the same time blocks the attack from above as Melfina dived while baring her dagger

Taking this opportunity Rebecca slashed the body of Agra only to feel numb from the attack

"Tsk!"

"What couldn't injure me? Hahahahaha" laughed Agra

As he mocks them he pushed Melfina away and hacks down his cursed sword to Rebecca

Sensing the danger Rebecca blocks it using her two hands and the moment the two swords made contact Rebecca was immediately blurried half her feet to the ground because of the weight of the attack

Whole the demon Agra was concentrated to Rebecca Okou charged in as he jumps and raises his sword

"Take this!"

Sensing him Agra immediately turned around and swiped his sword to Okou only this his shield and ramming him to the building right next to him

As Okou crashed into the building he spat out a mouthful of blood because of the impact and saw that his shield have a dent from just one attack of the demon

With this Melfina run up to the demon as she steps to the debris and thrusted her dagger only to found out that her dagger broke the moment it made contact to his skin

"Impossible!" Cried Melfina

Instinctually Melfina jumped back as she throws rows of explosive knifes at Agra

With this explosions Agra was taken aback as he steps back

Using this opportunity Melfina dashed straight under Agra as she parries the incoming attack

When she parried Agra's attack she immediately spins as it stabs it's behind knee

For the first time Agra feels pain

"Grahhh!!!! Damn insects!" He shouted as he grabs Melfina's hair and slammed her to Rebecca and throws them to where Okou is

As the two of them crashes to where Okou is, Agra immediately opened its mouth and shouted

"INCINERATE!!!"

as he said that flames ruptured from his mouth as it descended to the trio

Seeing this Okou immediately held his shield up and shouted

"VANGUARD"

As he said that his shield instantly glowed green as it engulfed by the demons flames
