[Ingra Kingdom]

In the next morning the people stated to repair the houses and tiles that broke during the fight in the night

When the group and Reinbach woke up and saw all the people are doing repair works, they were shocked and confused of just what happened last night so they tried to inquire information to Kaido but Kaido just ignored their questions and tried to divert their attention else where

In the afternoon Kaido left Reinbach side and went to the royal library upon request of the princess

[Castles Garden]

Im the middle of the garden the prince can be seen talking to his vassal

"I'm sorry my prince but I didn't know that he was so proficient in fighting this kind of enemy! I have underestimated him" said the vassal

But contrary to the vassal expectation the prince just waved it off

"Forget it! I tok have underestimated him! For now the army just passed the border and once the demon army got assembled then the kingdom shall be mine" said the prince as he look in the distance

[Royal Library]

As kaido entered General Stone guarded the door for any eavesdropper and intruder

"I'm here! So tell me what was that thing?" Asks Kaido

As he asks this the princess looked at him with only a sleeved shirt as she tied her Silver hair in a ponytail style while she wears her glasses

Seeing her like this kaido's heart fluttered for a little as he looks away and thought

"Why does she looks like saber in that outfit?" He murmured

With a light cough Kaido returned to his stern look as he approached princess Ingrid

As he approached her, princess Ingrid laid down her book and said

"The one that you fought is a demonic beast! A very strong one at that... There are three class for the demonic beast and that is upper, middle, lower" she said

Hearing her Kaido said

"So I suppose that the demonic beast is an upper"

"Ping! pong! Bingo! Cause the way I see it you have an immense power inside of you and somehow that creature survived your assault which resulted you in using a national level spell to kill it" said Iris while holding her glasses up and puffing out her chest to prove that she is smart

Seeing her posture Kaido just sigh while scanning the documents

"Then I believe based on my knowledge that demonic beast as such is the weakest force of the soldiers demon army" said Kaido

"Yup! The strongest in the army before the demon king are it's vassals the arch demons and I believe they're at least six of them

Hearing six demons much stronger foes Kaido begun to wander if the gods are serious in putting all the burden to the heroes, Kaido himself almost pity them until he remembered that he was also ordered by the shitty goddess to head to the demon kingdom to find the truth behind the war

As he observed his surroundings he noticed an old book which is locked up by multiple ancient sealing spells which made him curious

"This... This book! Why is it sealed?" He asks

Seeing the book the princess replied

"I don't know! I never opened it yet I have no power to open it!" Said princess Ingrid

As kaido stared at the book he felt that somehow his instincts is telling him that the book is important

When he turned away he saw princess Ingrid handing him a book while saying

"With your power the empire is sure to sort you out and send you to the demon kingdom and by then this book will help you" she said

Seeing her like this Kaido laughed while saying

"You look like your about to see me off! Are you that excited to see me leave?" He asks

"No I'm not I'm just worried that you might get endanger after all your like a friend to me" said princess Ingrid as she puffed her cheeks

"A friend is it?... Alright! Friend it is! Replied Kaido as he took the book

Seeing his nonchalant attitude the princess gave a sigh of dismay

"Idiot!" She whispered

As the room got silent Kaido spoke up

"This empire.... This is where the hero is right?" Asks Kaido

Hearing him princess Ingrid replied

"Yeah! I heard a hero was summoned a month ago along with the other two in different continent" said princess Ingrid

Confirming his question Kaido gave a sigh as he said

"So the battle is inevitable eh! Is this what they call fate?" He said

As he said that he turned around and thanked the princess for handing the boom and left the royal library

As the princess got out of the library, General Stone was looking at her while saying

"Princess! You blew it!" He said

"Shut it! I know... You don't have to remind me" said the princess

When Kaido arrived back at the inn he spends time with his group and sui and enjoying their time together while guarding Reinbach if his on duty

When night came Kaido would read the book in his room and contemplate for a while as he looks out the window

Occasionally he would send out little drones made out of titanium to patrol the capital in every nook and canny

[2 weeks later]

In an early morning the prince was nowhere to be seen in the castle while all the people including the king and the princess didn't realize his disappearance

As they enjoyed their morning the sound of alarm rung out as the soldiers shouted

"Enemy!"

"Demon army approaching our walls"

"Demons!!!!"

With this series of alarms the citizens immediately evacuated to the castle while all the nobles and soldiers armed themselves and headed for the capitals North gate

As Reinbach armed himself in full armor he made Zia and Sui the noncombatants of the group to evacuate with the citizens to the castle

As Reinbach opened Kaido's door he shouted

"Kaido-sama! The demons! They've arrived"

When he entered what he saw was Melfina putting on his newly bought coat on Kaido as the latter look out in the window and gaze the north gate

"So they've come!" He stated

"Let's kill some demons"
