[Ingra Kingdom, Banquets hall]

Inside the majestic hall lay many nobles and vassals from different perspective territories

Foods are served in an orderly manner while nobles dressed in different elegant outfit

Some nobles brought their family which are mostly situated in the capital while for some nobles who are not from the capital, they can only present either themselves or their sons who joined them

As the night goes on Reinbach and Kaido went inside the hall in which they are not minded by other nobles

Reinbach is wearing an elegant tailor suite with white hand gloves that can be seen in old Europe parties, as for Kaido he is wearing a tuxedo with black slacking that is clearly different from the usual nobles dress

As both Reinbach and Kaido approached the king, Reinbach knelt down to pay respect while Kaido just bowed gracefully

The prince didn't urged the issue of Kaido any longer since this is a party not a fighting ground so there's no commotion happened in that greeting

As Reinbach and king Simon talked to each other the princess approached Kaido

"You must be Kaido i presume! Long way from home aren't you?" Asks princess Ingrid

As kaido glance at princess Ingrid, he saw that the princess was wearing a purple gown with her silver hair tied up in an elegant manner which could get the hearts of many young men except Kaido

"You must be the renowned princess of the kingdom!" Replied Kaido

Hearing his calm demeanour the princess was taken aback as it was the first time for her to experience someone not charmed by her beauty

"Your quite interesting kaido-sama! You hail from some far away town then become someone known back in Screa Port City and now your here as an escort for Reinbach-sama!" Said the princess

"Ah! I see you did your research!" Replied Kaido

With this princess Ingrid begun to talk more

"Are you offended that I dugged for your origin?" Asks princess Ingrid

Hearing his answer princess Ingrid was sure that he was not lying cause during they're conversation she is kept using her abilities to know what Kaido's ulterior motive but clearly he is being honest by his thoughts

"Your quite different from people who goes for my hand after all young heirs from different household tried to gain my favor just to get me to look at them" said princess Ingrid

Hearing this Kaido grabbed a cup of wine and chugged it in one go.as he replied

"So your expecting me to go after you? For what reason?... I know courting is normal and all but whoever you choose in your life to be with will always comes from your decision! No one can choose for you! You hold your life so it's natural for you be the one to choose who you like to spend your life with!" Said Kaido calmly as he stares at the empty cup

Hearing his advice princess Ingrid begun to wonder about something

"You give advice as if you yourself have once chosen someone to spend your life with! May I know who is this special person?" Asks princess Ingrid

With her words Kaido's memories from his past love life begun to spring out from the depths of his sealed emotions which makes his heart ache a little from remembering it

"Life.... Life sometimes doesn't go the way you wanted it... That's just how cruel the world is! She's not someone special... Not anymore that is... For so long I've been thinking about it I've thought that... It's not her fault! I'm sure of it! The fault lays somewhere in me... But you need to move forward cause I you don't you'll be left by the world right?" Said Kaido as he wipe a small tear at the corner of his eyes

Seeing him like this princess Ingrid realized that he must have a dark past that he doesn't want to remember yet she herself probed it making him like this

"A man can change through time and struggles"

That is what her grandfather told her and now she witnessed it as he looks at Kaido

"Missy! Your quite a jester aren't you? But digging deep into my past is a no go! There are something's in life you better not knowing" said Kaido sternly

Hearing him princess Ingrid returned to her composed self

"Your right! I'm sorry! How about as an apology I'll bring you to a shrine of our goddess tomorrow?" Suggested princess Ingrid

"Goddess?" Asks Kaido

"Yes! Goddess Serefina's shrine" replied princess Ingrid

Kaido clearly remembered the goddess words form the very first day he arrived in this world and somehow he has a lot of questions for her so he accepted the suggestion

"Alright! I'll take you up in your offer" said Kaido

As they were talking to music started to sound up so princess Ingrid asked Kaido

"In addition how about I'll ask kaido-sama for a dance?" Said princess Ingrid as she smiled

Feeling like he was being challenged Kaido smiled wryly

"Alright you damn princess your on! I'll show you how I dance well" said Kaido arrogantly

Seeing Kaido and the princess dancing caught the attention of everyone in the hall

They were so shocked to see the hard to get princess is actually dancing with someone who is not even a noble

As for the king and Reinbach, the latter himself was surprised to see Kaido actually managed to make a move on the princess I which many nobles are after while for the king he was happy for his princess to actually joining in the party for the first time and actually enjoying it

For the proud General Stone he merely gave a soft smile as he murmured

"So you like those type of guys princess"

While Kaido was hesitant to be outdone by the princess and danced with her to his full extent, he completely disregard the jealous gazes from other noble heirs, as for princess Ingrid herself she was enjoying the different reaction of Kaido whenever he made a mistakes which made Kaido became irritated by her gaze

Not far from them prince Johannes was gripping his cup which later on become shattered glass as he saw the princess enjoying her to with Kaido

At first he disregard it when the princess was talking to Kaido but now that Kaido made a move he became infuriated so he called out to his vassal

"I want that guy dead! No one can know it's my order! Cut the ties once you've passed the order understood?" Ordered prince Johannes

"Yes my prince I'll arrange for a dark ending for him" said the vassal

As the vassal left he returned his gaze at Kaido as he gritted his teeth and said

"No one can have her but me! Kaido is it? I'll have you erased from the picture completely"
