[Towns Gate of Guila]
As both Kaido and Rebecca reached the gates Rebecca told him
"Just stay there and be quite okay? Cause if you speak to them your gonna end up arrested because of your behavior"
"Tch! Whatever just get on with it already"
"You know it won't hurt you to at least be grateful" muttered Rebecca
"Huh? You do know I can hear you right?" Snarled Kaido
"Eeekk! I didn't say anything" replied Rebecca as she headed for the gate

[Gate]
"Oi Rebecca your back! Where's Sid?" Asked the towns guard
As Rebecca's friend's name was mentioned she felt bitter with herself so she told them what happened
After few minutes the towns guard got the gist of it
"I'm sorry for Sid's death.... are you sure no ones gonna look for him?" Asked the towns guard
"I'm sure cause after all both Sid and myself are orphans so he has no other connections to except me" replied Rebecca
"I get it..... So by the way that's the guy that saved you huh! Why is he standing all the way out there?" Asks the town guard
"Well he has some really complicated attitude..... But I can assure you his a good guy but the thing is he doesn't have a permit pass" explained Rebecca
"I see.... Well since his your savior I will let him in just go this once but the next time he should have at least an ID" advised by the town guard
"Thank you very much!" Thanked Rebecca
After receiving permission to enter Rebecca waved at Kaido to come over
When he got infront of the gate the towns guard thanked him for saving Rebecca
"Whatever I was just there to begin with..." Replied Kaido
"Wow! He really does have a complicated attitude"muttered the towns guard at Rebecca
"I know! I know!" Agreed Rebecca
As they got inside the town Rebecca told Kaido that he need some kind of ID to enter towns, and city sort alike
"ID?" Wondered Kaido
"Yes but the fastest way for you to get an id is to register at the guild!" Said Rebecca

"Guild? Adventurers guild?" Asks Kaido as he eyes Rebecca
Realizing something Rebecca immediately pointed out
"No! Not everyone in the guild are like the people that you just killed I swear"
"I don't care.... They can't hurt me anyway" shrugged Kaido
"You should really learn how to deal others kaido-kun" murmured Rebecca
After she said this Rebecca brought Kaido to her guild for him to register
"Welcome to my guild!" Introduced Rebecca
"So it's big" commented Kaido as he inspected the place
"Yes it's big" repeated Rebecca
"Huh!" Exclaimed Kaido
"Huh? Huh? What's that's supposed to mean?" Complained Rebecca from Kaido's lack of enthusiasm
"Nothing it's just huh!" Answered Kaido
Seeing that Kaido doesn't want to prod any longer on the topic she immediately gave up
"Anyway let's just get to the counter to start your registration" said Rebecca dejectedly
As Kaido and Rebecca approached the counter Kaido himself noticed that many of the adventurers are staring at him
When they arrived the receptionist warmly greeted them
"Welcome to Guila's adventurer's guild how may I help you?" Asked the female receptionist
"Oh I want this guy to be registered" said Rebecca as she pointed at Kaido
"Him?" Asked the receptionist
"Yes him!" Replied Rebecca
Noticing this Kaido stepped in
"Looks like there are bunch of eyes are staring at me" he said
"Well it's natural after all the way you look now they will think that your not even gonna survive for one day" replied Rebecca
When she said this Kaido looked at him and he immediately understand why
Currently his clothes looks like from a commoner outside of town and his build is like the same as a scrawny kid that they will see in the alleys
"Well just tell him to put his hand on this tablet so that we can see his status" suggested by the receptionist as she try to leave the topic
"Well go on" urged Rebecca
As Kaido put his hands on the tablet his status popped up at the desk and big enough for everyone to see

"Huh? A level 6 at these age? What were you doing this whole time? Asks the receptionist
Upon hearing his level the whole crowd inside the establishment laughed
Rebecca was trying to make everyone stop laughing because it will make Kaido annoyed but when she looked at him she was surprised..... Kaido wasn't the least angry nor annoyed.... He just simply stayed silent
As the female receptionist continued to browse his status she immediately fell silent and shocked
Noticing the receptionist sudden silence Rebecca took a peek at Kaido's status and immediately went silent and shocked
"You... You have a unique job? Not only that you also have a unique title not just one but two of them and also a ability that I have never heard before" shrieked the receptionist
Name: Riruko Kaido

"Just what....what are you?" Mumbled by the female receptionist
Hearing her reaction to the status everyone became curious about Kaido's status
When everyone was making a commotion the guild leader finally comes out to handle the situation
"So you are registering as an adventurer" said the guild master as he raise his eyebrows
"Well it seems so" said Kaido bluntly
Seeing his behavior towards the guild master everyone was left shocked
"Bwahahahaha! You got some attitude kid" laughed aside by the guild master
"By the way I'm the guild master hear names Ben by the way" greeted the guild master
"Kaido! Just call me Kaido" said Kaido as he stared at the guild master
"Dude that guy just talked back at the guild master not minding it's pressure"
"Just who is this kid?"
"It's like a giant vs a stick"
As the crowd gave their comments the receptionist cuts in
"By the way I need to check your power level so pls put your palm at the crystal ball"
"Power level?" Asks Kaido
"Yes so that when the guild has some special request we can summon you" explained by the receptionist
"No need I just need the ID card" Kaido replied immediately
At that moment the guild master stared down at him while Kaido looked at him in the eye
"No go kid! If you want the pass you need to follow our procedure" said the guild master
"And what if I don't?" Replied Kaido
"Then I have my ways to make you do it" the guild master threatened
Bearing the heavy pressure from both the guild master and Kaido by the people inside, Rebecca tried to mediate between them
"Kaido just do it! there's no harm to it right?!" Said Rebecca
As he saw Rebecca's face expression Kaido himself gave up and agreed to do it
"Fine!"
"Great then just put your palm on it" said Rebecca
When he did what Rebecca told him to, the crystal ball explodes
"No way! you have that much power level?" Said by the receptionist
"Why what's wrong?" He asked
"Kaido that ball can measure up to 10000 and yet you broke it means that you even surpassed the amount limited to ordinary adventurers
"Oh!" Reacted Kaido
"Well then I'll prepare your ID please wait for a while" said the female receptionist as she shake from shock
At that moment something caught the eye of the guild master
*****
After few minutes the receptionist can out and finally gave Kaido's adventurer card
"Finally got your Adventure card" exclaimed Rebecca as both her and Kaido went to the request board
As both Rebecca and Kaido left the guild master ordered one of the worker
"Find out what Ragnarok is"
"Why sir? Its just a title" said the worker
"No something is bothering me about that title" he replied

8 230The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
