Chapter Ten - Thoth Advanced Academy part 2
In spite of his fierce appearance, Magus Fierce Storm's eyes were currently full of respect. This was him showing his unquestionable loyalty towards the man in front of him, as he continued his report in his thick and heavy voice, "It's amazing, this new batch of youngsters. First, there was Antonio Bazaar III and John Bravus Frenzy II in class 432. Both youths were able to persist for more than two hours. Bravo lasted 2 hours and 57 minutes. That's almost three hours, for god's sake! Had he not been in an altercation before his assessment, his score would have definitely surpassed his grandfathers. A good child!"
Magus Fierce Storm nodded fiercely as if agreeing with his own statement. It could be seen that he had good feelings towards this grandfather and grandson pair, "There was also a commoner student, surname Blacc, who made quite the commotion at his assessment site, lasting 3 hours and 32 minutes. This is extraordinary for a commoner."
"It is extraordinary for any student to persist for such a time. It is remarkable," said the old man in his sagacious voice.
"Yes, of course, Grand Magus. Excuse my wording. Following that, we have Caine Sinatra. This is the young man who we marked for the advanced class halfway through last year, due to his extraordinary competence and martial skill. I know well about his master's relationship with the honored Guru, but he is also a truly good seedling. He took his assessment and was able to endure for 3 hours and 50 minutes."
"This is remarkable, indeed," agreed the old man called the Grand Magus. Grand Magus Caesar Calm was one of two vice-principals of Thoth Academy and could be considered a man below one and above all others in the academy. He was also one of the strongest warriors in Nibiru City. This was the Sixth Judgement Star of the Twelve! Caesar Calm was about five feet tall, and his beard was half his size. His brocade robes were azure with golden ibis patterns and glowing runes. He appeared wizened and mystical indeed.
"This young man was also in class 357 in the last term. This term, those who have made it to class 457 have a few more outstanding results… as you have seen," Magus Fierce Storm gazed ahead at the platform where Margot Frenzy had just exited, before she froze and stared perplexed at the enormous crowd. Once she glanced over to the other side, her tender little body shook, her eyes locking with Magus Fierce Storm for the first time in her life! Margot showed a rare face of reverence!

'My God, Principal Fierce Storm? Grand Magus Caesar Calm?! What is the Eldest Magus doing here! Did I break a record or?' Unlike Aubrey, Margot Frenzy instantly turned and looked behind her. As she did, her face was first stunned speechless. After half a second, her face was blossoming with a warm and oh so beautiful smile.
"Waah!~~~" a wave of awe swept through all the male students in attendance.
"Her pride in herself has produced the world's most stunning scenery. The smile of an angel!"
"Angel, please smile for this mortal as well!"
"Angel, what angel? She's a goddess…"
"Little Deity, smile for this mortal as well!"
"Quit being thirsty, she is not a class of water."
"I'll drink anything she tells me too."
"Ugh."
One had to know, Margot Frenzy rarely ever showed anything but a cold and fierce countenance or playful arrogance at best. Such a breathtaking smile was something no one here anticipated, they were too dazed to even speculate the reason she had smiled.
Of course, the females were a different case. They hated how beautiful that smile was. How could the heavens be so unfair? Why was a brute like her the one with angelic features? Yet they had to admit that was a classic and magnificent scene, a maiden smiling at the dazzling light that shined on her first love. Many women felt envious of these two geniuses.
Margot's reaction to the one named Kasino also didn't escape Magus Fierce Storm's eyes, as a strange glint flashed within them. He cleared his throat, which echoed through the noisy crowd and silenced them instantly. Then he announced to the crowd with his powerful voice like the crack of thunder, "Margot Frenzy of class 457, 5 hours and 37 minutes! Phenomenal! Your grandfather will be so proud! Advanced Academy Prefect!"
Prefects were students who qualified for every class.
"Yaah~~."
The crowd went wild with applause, leaving Maggie stunned on stage. Prefects would always be adored and respected more than average students. Everyone cheered at the top of their lungs. Maggie blushed shyly and looked like she didn't know what to do with her hands. Before she could run away from the platform in a panic, another new development occurred. Maggie heard the sound of pressurized glass releasing behind her, causing the young lady to freeze.
In fact, the entire scene froze with her. It was almost as if no one could let out a breath. Margot slowly turned around to see Kasino stretching his body comfortably as he walked out of the original pressure chamber casually.
Lucky Riot looked surprised to see Maggie's prettier than usual face staring at him with her usual adoring gaze, that had an extra hint of surprise, as soon as he walked out. He felt like his five senses were stronger than ever, it was an unusual sensation. Lucky casually put his arm around her shoulders, inhaling her hair's scent.

'She looks different… so pretty...' Lucky didn't realize that it was also him who had gone through an incredible change.
However, Maggie glanced down and almost fainted.
As for Lucky, he didn't think about it too much and just naturally spoke words that turned Maggie's pink face crimson, "Hey, Maggs baby. You sure are a sight for sore eyes. Did you grow more beautiful in the last hour? Is this also considered waking up next to a beauty?"
"WOAH!" there was another massive reaction from the enormous crowd as voices begin going crazy.
"Woooo uh woo! Kasino, you're my hero, dude!"
" You son of a bitch, don't talk to our angel like that!"
"You've got a death wish, kid!"
"MAKE YOURSELF DECENT, YOU BASTARD!"
"What a hottie!"
"MY GOD, you see the size of that thing?!"
"What a man…"
"Is that Lucky? The one they called the immortal waste or something? If he's trash, call me a dumpster."
...…..
"Kasino..." mumbled Maggie in embarrassment as she tugged Lucky's arm. She was incomparably pleased, but she naturally couldn't form any thoughts due to her own discomfort. She wanted nothing more than to hide right now.
Well, maybe she wanted Lucky to hug her more, she couldn't decide.
At this time, Lucky Riot finally realized the ocean of people surrounding him. He wasn't even in the classroom anymore! This rendered him instantly speechless. Lucky now stood tall at six foot seven inches, with well-cut muscles visible even through his tight clothes. He looked like a professional athlete. Lucky's shirt and blazer tore to shreds already, and his pants fit a little too tight due to his increased size. This gave the bulging third leg no room to hide away and left quite the visual impact.
Maggie shyly hid behind Lucky's surprisingly broad back, not knowing how to react at all. However, she definitely did not want to show her face. After all, it felt like it was about to burst blood!
Lucky glanced around at the noisy crowd before him and spoke indifferently, as if they were here for someone else, "What's all the fuss about? Did someone die while I was out? By the way, Ms. Mercury, how did I do?"
Silence.
Everyone stopped talking in a bit of a daze.
'How did I do?'
Suddenly everyone just remembered the miracle they were witnessing.
As Lucky turned to the front of the square, he was shocked to see many critical A-list figures of the city all staring at him. He suddenly felt a bit insecure. This wasn't the damn classroom! This was clearly central square! What was going on exactly?! Did he really manage to break Renzo Frenzy's lustrous record? Was that reason enough for this ridiculous event?
Was that worth moving the entire platform and alerting the school? Lucky started thinking he had underestimated the legacy of Margot's grandfather.
While most of the teachers present had different looks on their faces when being observed by this young warrior, Eldest Magus Fierce Storm and Grand Magus Caesar Calm both wore enthused and amused faces. They noticed that Lucky's intense eyes had become rather gentle after landing on a particular face.
This face was none other than Magus Clear Sky, the dean of Thoth Elementary. Magus Clear Sky was a tall and voluptuous woman, with phoenix shaped eyes. However, her eyes were all that was visible on her face as she was always wearing a mask. Not many in the Academy knew what she looked like. There was a rumor that if you were given her individual assessment and passed, then she would let give you private lessons at her residence, where you may see her face! This legend was the dream of many Thoth Elementary students. It was also the regret of many senior students.
Magus Clear Sky was the instructor who was most helpful to Lucky during his time at this school. She always gave him partial treatment, patient guidance, and ample encouragement. She was actually the person who first put it into his head that he was destined to surpass all others!
For this reason, Lucky had rather good feelings for this woman, he was genuinely grateful to her. The only woman he was more fond of was his own mother. He bowed low and announced in a clear and convincing voice, "Student Lucky Riot greets Magus Clear Sky and the other teachers!"
Magus Clear Sky's mask hid her facial features, but one could tell from her eyes how beautiful her current smile likely was. The teachers all glanced at Magus Fierce Storm, who looked to the Grand Magi. Grand Magus Caesar Calm spoke candidly, "Magus Clear Sky, won't you please do the honors?"
Magus Clear Sky glanced knowingly at the Grand Magus, and immediately acquiesced, "Well done, my dear. Truly well done. Lucky Riot of class 457, 11 hours, and 57 minutes! Perfect marks! Absolutely stunning marks! A brand new record has been set! Advanced Academy Prefect!"

All things are. We once dreamed of a sky filled with possibilities. Of neverending knowledge. But those were conceited times, filled with quibbling. Now we look up and fear the vastness. We fear that there’s no edge to infinity. Humanity pulled itself together. Not like you’d expect, not like you’d approve of, but the results are spectacular. We call ourselves Utopians now, to make it simple for our kin in the cosmos. We’ve moved out into the Omniverse, to unlimited resources, and to dominance over the weak. Not for gain, but to the ends of permanence and peace. The cessation of their suffering. At the apex, looking down on those confined, those unenlightened, we felt safe. So few stand shoulder to shoulder with us. Fewer yet of them are so united as we. Porter, a godkiller for the Eidolons, is out of the job. Christopher, a Magus in the Guild, has him a new one, but with motives questionable. Kendall, a failing student at the Monastery, has to deal with secrets he never wanted. Anna, her entire life just fell apart, leaving her bereft. And Doran, he awakens. Each of these people, connected as members of the Omniversal Utopian Commonwealth, are helpless to the dark truth closing in. Not even the artificial intelligence, Aku, keeper of all Utopian power, can stop the Ouroboros. It’s not a new dawn. The light is dying. Hold your breath and go gently.
8 195Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
