《Shadow’s World》25. A workout

Alex POV
I explode. I sent an array of attacks at the spider, lightning, ice, fire, wind, earth, and water. I attack the entire room for an entire minute. My room was torn to shreds and there were burnt marks all over it also the room was soaked and wet. I took some deep breaths, um, I need to get a new room. That spider is gone and well everything in my room as well. Um, what to do know? I have destroyed my room and any minute now people are going to be running down the hall to see what in the world is going on. I leave the room and walk down the hallway when I meet the only people I didn’t want to see. Erica was running down the hallway with a worried look on her face. “little brother how are you doing? I was worried when you didn’t have lunch with us. So, I came down to see you. Well, are coming to eat lunch now?” I look at her with a surprised look. “didn’t you hear the noise I cause and that is why you are running down the hallway?” “noise what noise? No little brother, I was just worried that you didn’t eat and came to see how you were doing.” “I have missed lunch plenty of times and never seen you run down the hallway. What are you really up to? Yes, I destroyed my own room, it is not like I need you to protect me from it.” “Little brother why would you destroy your own room lets go and have a look at it.” Following her lead, we both make way to my room.
What in the world it is in perfect condition and nothing was out of place. This cannot be I just destroy this place how come it doesn’t have a scratch on it. Erica turns towards me and says, “Little brother I am worried about you. You need to go to the nurse office because you are seeing and hearing things.” After looking at this room I agree with her. I swear I just saw a spider that talks about killing my parents and destroying this room. I might have been imaging things well I did just had a fight and might have a concussion. I cannot be seeing things and hearing things while on the battlefield. We walk into the nurse's office and Erica sends me to one of the best nurses in the office. While walking into the room I see two adults shriving in the corner rocking back and forth saying snakes, music, man-child, and not fairy user nor Jeonglyeong. Well, it looks like I wasn’t imaging the shadow or whatever he is calling himself. The nurse saw me looking at them and said, “they are lucky to be alive, it seems someone sent them into the middle of the ocean and deep underneath the waves. It took all of their strength to get back to solid land. Too bad we cannot figure out how they got there it would be nice finding a way to kill those fairy users.

So, Alex why are you here?” “I am hearing things and seeing things. Not only that but I thought I destroyed my room but it turns out I didn’t do it. I am worried I have a concussion. I did have a fight with a rampaging fairy was knocked into the wall by an elder.” “well, let's look at you and see if you have anything wrong with your head to come here so I can give you a head exam.” I walk up to the x-ray and got and check. It took a few minutes and I got a report. It came back with nothing. Erica looks at me and says, “you might be stress having to fight a fairy user, getting a brand new team, and me being on your team. So, go exercise and I will bring you dinner once it is dinner time. Since we both know you are not going to stop to eat until someone gets you.” “You know me so well something I do like it that you are my sister but then I remember that you are evil and shouldn’t be trusted. Well, your suggestion sounds good. Wait, how did you know I fought a fairy user, I only told the nurse about the fight I had.” Erica sighs and looks at me with a tired expression. “ the moment the elders took you away I knew what they wanted from you. They need to test your strength and I know that there are new elders here today because my parents told me. It was not hard to figure this crap out, little brother.” I shrink my shoulders and wave goodbye and walk to the practice field. I turn around said, “ oh yeah Erica, tell the team that we will start practice early tomorrow. I want to see how far they are in their elements. So, see you tonight when it is time for dinner.” Erica waves goodbye and I run to the practice room.

I put on some weights and did some running. This is nice getting stronger to get revenge. After the running, I start doing some light exercising and working up a good amount of sweat. This is good for me clearing my mind and relaxing the best I can. Moving about working out is a great way to get rid of this stress. Even though I do not like the idea but Erica does know me the best.

The Choice is Not Yours
Author's Note: (As of November 20, 2021) I rewrote all the chapters perhaps more than a year ago, but haven't announced that I did so. Because that kind of announcement would include something along the lines of, "I'm working on the story so expect new chapters!" But the truth is, I lack motivation to do anything. And I would hate myself if I broke a promise. I'm extremely sorry if you have been patiently waiting for uploads. These days, I've been studying, not well, but studying somewhat. I will definitely bring more to show, with regular uploads. If not this story then there's another story I've been writing that's really exciting to me. It's not exactly similar to this story since it has a male lead and he is a baneful asshole with even less morals. I hope you'll like it when it comes to existence. And I'll leave my announcement off with the aforementioned promise. Meet Amber, a tomboyish, unstable, and cheeky lass who likes to keep to herself. According to her, she'll live the rest of her life on auto-pilot mode, awhile holding onto the few things that make her remotely happy. However, she forgot that people never really leave you alone, be it humans or even the Gods. And exactly that happens, ending her monotonous life on such the Gods' whim. But at what cost to her? Will she be able to hold onto the things she holds dear? Or will she fail miserably and lose herself in the process? That's what the Gods want to know. Disclaimer: I do not own the cover photo.Warning: If you are easily triggered, I am not writing this novel for you.

Neophyte: Common Route
A story about self-discovery, interpersonal relationships, magic and magical creatures-- and a silent war. Marsha is about seven years past adulthood and still feels like a scared child in her parents' home. This is exacerbated when she discovers her father has apparently keyed up his destructive, sadistic habits-- leading to a mad dash out of the house with precious cargo in tow and only one idea where to go. This begins her journey, leading to a discovery that will change her life forever. And she never wants to go back. (Warnings: Lots of descriptions of abusive, sadistic and otherwise traumatizing and triggering behavior that a parent perpetuated toward a child or multiple children. Descriptions of violence, a main character with emotional issues that will be dealt with, and a whole lot of the 'aftermath' of battles in a war. Even a few descriptions of some of those battles. Things of that nature. If you can't handle one of those, please do not read.) {I had this idea to write a 'common route' and then 'romance routes' like they do in otomes? Book 1 is the common route, and then at book 2, you choose your love interest. Each of which is encased in their own book.}
