My sister and I both yell, “Oh my god,” the fairy god is this guy’s a fairy. It makes sense but why was the pig monster scared of the nice spider god. Anaisa helps the fairies’ users in the time of need. Wait, he gave us power. That must mean he has trust in us. I jump up and down for joy. The most powerful being on this world put his trust in us. The shadow looks at me annoy. I stop my little dance and turn back to the shadow and wait like a good little boy. The shadow shakes his head and continues to talk. “It seems one of you got the wrong impression. The spider put you two in an impossible situation. I will make it easier for you, the monster I am talking about have the potential number value of 100, the odds are he will reach 99% of his overall potential. You two potential compare to him would be a maximum of 20. The odds are, you guys 99% to reach your maximum potential. Ignore the monster, you guys would have been in the top 0.01 percentile. You two would have been in the top 10 strongest people on this planet. That spider put you guys at number 2 and 3. He made your maximum potential at 100 as well but the odds are you only would reach half of that number. I have to train you two, but there is no way for me to get you to that 100 number. You shouldn’t have this power. The spider had to even out this bet and made you guys stronger. If I knew that you two were this weak, I wouldn’t have put any effort into you and put all of it into the monster, but the spider always say never put all your eggs into one basket, how does that make you feel weaklings?”

I looked at my sister and she started to laugh. Why is she laughing? The Jeonglyeong has someone on their side that we have no way of beating and our god didn’t do much to help the odds of beating him. My sister stops laughing and look the shadow in the eye and ask “does this bet have anything to do with us and the Jeonglyeong if so then I am not interested. I hate fighting our parents care so much about fighting they left us in Jeonglyeong territory with no escape and a useless guide. My brother and I are not fighting this battle let our parents handle it. I do not care if you or the fairy god has a bet you cannot make me fight in this stupid war in which the Jeonglyeong have already won!”
The shadow looks at her with a bored express and says, “Fight or I will destroy this world.” Instead of fearing the threat, my sister double down, “So I do not care if the world gets destroy, you just told me, I am facing a person who couldn’t possibly beat and the odds are after I lose to this guy, I would become a slave and work for the rest of my life doing hard labor. Or I can take the easy way out and just let the planet get destroyed. I will take the planet get destroyed for 200 Bob.” The shadow laughs. “I like you, you understand the stakes very well but I am here to help. Since you guys’ odds of winning is zero, this makes things a little fun. It is time to meet your training partners.” With the snap of his hand, our surroundings change. The red planet of Mars disappeared and now we were looking at a tiny white speck, in total darkness.

“We are in the endless void. This place isn’t part of any universe it is outside of all of reality. There are only two being that can come and go as they want in this place and that is my fairy and I. The only other thing is my ship The Shadow’s Blade. You see that tiny ship in the distance? It is a cube should, and it is 9.4607×1017 meters long and wide. I made sure it is the biggest ship in all of reality and also the strongest. That ship has killed literal gods. But my AI does not like me and make it look and act like a big rabbit.”
Both my sister and I both look at the bunny ship with excitement. The biggest spaceship in creation and we will riding on it. The shadow snaps his fingers again, and we were now right up to the ship and can see the design. It looked like a perfect bunny with nice fur. The color wasn’t exactly white but more like an eggshell color. There are zero weapons from what I can see. It felt like a living animal. It had a weird feeling to it. This isn’t a ship it is more of a living being. The name doesn’t fit the design at all. Well, it is a spaceship that can kill gods; the man can call it whatever he wants. “Where are the weapons on the ship?” I ask the shadow. “They are everywhere on the outside. They are just too small for the human eye to see. It is time to go inside so you guys can meet your trainers.” With the snap of his fingers, the shadow transported us inside of the ship.

This is a side-adventure I've written during the pandemic, as I've been having a lot of trouble getting into the correct head-space for writing my main series (The Last Science). Expect some rougher bits. Schedule is sporadic, but this will be a shorter one (closer to Snipe or Epilogue in length). I hope you enjoy it! That said, there is meaning and significance to the title, except that it will be unveiled only much later into the story. Magical elements and the like will not be a factor in most of the story until the very end. tl;dr: This is not fantasy, magic doesn't play a role in the story. --- Updates: Will try to post a chapter once every 2 days PS. This is my first novel so there might be several issues in various aspects which I might not notice so comments are highly appreciated. --- This is more to add pressure to myself rather than anything else... but anyways the story is now part of the pledge!
