《Shadow’s World》chapter 7 part 2

Looking over Erica’s notes we found out how she poison me and did everything in our power to make me immune to any other poisons that Erica could come up with. I also started to train even harder. I wasn’t unbeatable, and I had many weaknesses I need to overcome. For a month, Erica’s parents and I did everything we could to make sure Erica couldn’t surprise me again. I was in my room waking up when I heard a knock at the door. It was Erica, and she challenges me this time to another fight. I went down Erica’s list of poisons she could have used a few times. I also wanted a second opinion, so I went to our parents to make sure I missed nothing. With full confidence, they were sure I couldn’t be poison. It seems while I was getting prepare, our parents notice I would shake each time Erica’s name would come up. So, they gave me a hug and told me they would make plans with Erica and I wouldn’t have to talk to her. They scheduled the fight a few days later with Erica. The day arrives our parents walk in front of me. Erica was already there reading a book, and she looked up when we walked into the room. She closes her book and gives me a huge smile. I take a step back from Erica. Our parents look at Erica and say, “Stop being mean to your little brother; he is only trying his best.” Erica gives a big smile, and she walks to the opposite side of me getting into position to fight. Erica’s parents told me not to worry and get into position. So, we stood on opposite sides of each other, and Erica’s parents started the countdown. When they got to three, I started to feel dizzy. It wasn’t as bad as before, but I couldn’t stand up straight. Erica had a smile on her face and once the countdown ended, she attacked me. I could tell that Erica’s parents knew Erica poisoned me, but I stopped them from intervening with the match. In the second fight, my talent started to show. Even though I poisoned, Erica was the only who was ambling in my eyes. The last fight I didn’t know how or why I won, but this time I was easy over power erica. I won once again but this time without injuring Erica and had more energy left after the fight. Erica once again laughs and everyone in the room looks at her in horror. She knew this would be the outcome. Why was she able not only predicted my potential but also knew of another way of poisoning me? “Second test complete, this is going really well.” Erica said with a smile. After making sure Erica was all right Erica’s parents, I tried to figure out how Erica poisons me again. It turns out she turned the antidotes inside of my body into a poison that is why it didn’t affect our parents. We couldn’t believe our eyes this girl is evil and intelligent. Not only did she use a stronger poison but also could figure out how to while attacking the antidotes. There was an amazing discovery. The poison she uses was 3 times as potent as the one she uses before but the effects were lighter than before, my body is getting stronger at a rate impossible to keep track.

After the fight, I can feel the power coursing through my veins. I know everyone in the room could feel the excess power I was admitting. I wanted to test my strength and see how far I can go. I started to shine. I could feel the energy escaping my body. The wind in the room surrounds me, lightning rains down from the heavens destroying the room. There were lightning strikes miss everyone in the room. After a while turn into beams falling from the heavens. Last, fire came out of my body. It flow out from all sides, making a shape with the lightning. It destroyed the entire training room. It took a few moments for the craziness to subside, but when it done, the only thing remaining was a huge outline of a spider. Everyone in the room stared with awe until some crazy person started to laugh. Erica turns towards me and said I knew you were the one don’t disappoint me. She left the training room. Our parents looked at me and told me not to worry about the room or what happened. These things mean nothing. I didn’t need to worry about this crap and they would find out how Erica once again poison me. They would also find out what this sign mean.
Our parents went to meet up with Erica to see who once again she could poison me. Erica told them if brought her a very rare book, she would give them her notes on the matter. It would take them a while to get the book, but in the meantime there were two other issues at hand. My massive power boost and the spider that appear after the second fight with Erica. It took no time at all remodeling the training room to become stronger and studier. Our parents brought in new equipment to test my speed and strength. While I was training Erica’s parents study my body. My body was going through huge changes. My body was becoming denser an incredible speed. Not only that, but my I was getting stronger with the light elements. I started to understand the light elements even better. That causes my powers with them to grow. Within three months of training my speed double and I tripled my strength. The world felt so light. I loved the feeling so I push myself harder and further than I could have been possible. I was feeling a high. Since I was becoming stronger and faster, that means I couldn’t lose. Erica was the strongest person I know in our age group, and even she couldn’t handle me before this huge power boost. There is no way now for anyone to be anywhere near me. Our parents started to get worried about me and told me to tone it down or something bad might happen. I couldn’t I was on top of the world. After Erica got her book, we took the notes and did everything in our power to stop me from being poison again. This time I was in charge, and I challenged Erica to a fight. Erica saw my behavior and said, “Looks like I will win this fight with ease.” It stunned me and so were our parents. Her parents became a worry about me and told me to hold off the fight and try to determine why Erica thinks she could win. I was too arrogant and thought she just had mind games and didn’t heed their warning.

The start of the third fight was on its way and I got stronger and faster since the last time I tested myself. There was nothing left for me to do besides beat Erica in a one-sided fight. She was someone who never trains compared to me who not only spent his time training night and day but also had the will to win. The day of the fight and our parents warned me once again that this might not be the best time to fight her, but I am determined to wipe the floor with Erica and show our parents my newfound power. Once again, we walked into the area, and Erica was reading the new book. Our parents got her. She put her bookmark inside of the book and got into position for the fight. I got to the opposite side and smiled. “This will be our last fight, and after this, I will never fear you again,” I told Erica. She then gives me this beautiful smile and says, “This is the only time I will beat you in a fight, so I will treasure this moment. Remember this day so something like this will never happen again.”
