The shadow disappears into the shadows of my room. Man that dude talk for a while, well it doesn’t matter. I look at the clock and it says it is 6:30. He has wasted 30 minutes of my time. I put my chair back underneath my desk and walked to the training room. While walking I meet a dumb elder and as he walks past, I rolled my eyes. The little gray hair white troll turns around and hit me with a blast of wind. Crash! I hit the wall hard, weak old man he didn’t even break a bone this time. “One day you will learn respect boy. Do you think elder Kyle will keep protecting you? You are wrong someday soon I will become the head of the Jeonglyeong and then you respect me then. Also, I have a little surprise waiting for you this afternoon. Ha Ha Ha.”

He turns around and walks away still laughing. I hope he changes the way teams organized because of the way they structured now. they will leave me with that annoying black girl. She might be the second strongest in our age group behind me but I do not want to work with that crazy chick.

I bush myself off and continue to walk to the training area. I get to the football field and look at the time; I have only 10 minutes left before I have to be at the assembly. So instead of my usual 20 km and 1000 pushups and 1000 sit-ups, I can only do a 5 km run and 250 pushups and 250 sit-ups. I put on 450 kg of weight and run. Running by myself feels so refreshing. Every day I train is another day I feel getting closer to my revenge. After my run, I put the weights on my back and do pushups. Only doing 250 pushups time seems to go by so fast, after doing my sit-ups I had the same feeling. Finishing my easy workout, I get ready for the assembly. After taking a quick shower and getting dressed up, I walk toward the gym. Almost at the gym, I meet my worst enemy. Erica is taking her sweet time walking toward the gym. As of we both will be late, why is she walking like it doesn’t matter? I walk past her hoping she wouldn’t talk. “Hi little brother, I cannot wait to be on your team.” “Noooo! Anything but that, the odds are you will have your own group with you as the leader. Do not jinx me, women, for the love of all that is holy please do not be on my team!” I cannot stand here calling me a little brother all because she was born a few days before me. “We will be on the same team like it or not. I have something I want to do, and the only way to get it done is to be on your team. Do not worry you wouldn’t even know that I am there.” She then skips along to the gym. Was she waiting for me? I hope she didn’t talk to elder Kyle and convince him to let her on my team. The crazy troll elder wanted me to feel despair and I doubt he knows that I hate her. The odds are he will give me a team full of rejects and I will have nothing to worry about. Man, I should have been paying attention to her connection with elder Kyle.

I find a seat near the stage so I can easily access it because I know that I will be the first one called up. It takes a while for everyone to settle down and the five elders move to the middle of the stage and pick up a microphone. “Hello everyone today is the beginning of the rest of your lives. Today is the day I will select you to a team or better yet a family. We still have fairy users running around and they are formidable opponents. Teamwork is a huge reason we can beat the fairy users. A team of ten can beat one person they don’t deserve a fair fight. Alex please come up here and wait for us to call out your team.” I walk up to the elders and stand behind them.

Standing in front of everyone, I was sweating a lake. This will not be your only time standing in front of a crowd, so calm down and relax. “We have changed the way the system works. Everyone turns towards me. “No, she would make a great leader. Do not let her waste her time on my team. Why brain why didn’t you stop this from happening. I look up and Erica was leading my team toward the stadium, and everyone in the gym was staring at me. Well, this is awkward. I hurry after them. Why did they leave me behind? Stop following Erica. I am the leader! I got to the stadium a few seconds after them and find them saluting while Erica is sitting in a chair reading a book. Um, it looks like she got them ready for me. Wow, is Erica up to something or does she really believe me, so time to get these people ready.
