Frank moves ahead to sit on the couch. Boris was still staring at them, though his eyes were hidden behind the red glasses, they could still feel his eyes on them.
"You can sit there", finally he speaks like waking up from sleep like silence.
Frank and Winston sit on the couch. Everything in the room was floating on the water. And if you look down into it, you will see all kinds of marine life wandering.
Everyone was silent for a few moments, Frank tries to break the ice with a compliment,
"You have a very nice room, Mr Boris. I can see that you have mastered the water element pretty well"
Boris removed his glasses ignoring the Franks compliment, and with an annoying face, he said,
"Let's talk about what we here for"
Frank and Winston looked at each other, and Winston said with a rough voice,
"Let's do that"
"So, we need Lanark out of our way. That son of a bitch is flying too high" he said, while his face looks even sadder as he talks about Lanark.
"And why should we do that for you?" Frank asked.
Boris stares at Frank angrily, and said,
" Because you motherfuckers don't have a choice. Either you fuck him or he will fuck you. It's not you, that helping us, but it's me helping you" he changes his stare towards Winston and said,
"Remember that, and keep it clear. I am offering you Warrington city and the way to get it. Lanark has already after you, and it won't be long until he gets you"
"And what do you want in return?"Winston asked with wide eyes.
Boris chuckled, and his faintly yellow teeth pops up from his mouth making him look even uglier,
"Look at you. What do you have that you offer me?" He said with a sarcastic tone.
A brief silence takes over the whole room. A shark went between the two couches, showing her big scary teeth.

"Let me tell you. it's nothing. I invited you here, to give you something not to take anything from you", he continued, and then he leaned towards both of them, putting his both legs on water, which started creating a circular coil into them, and said,
"Do you think I need to ask? If I need anything from you, I will just take it from you" and he leaned back on his couch. Meeting over and Frank and Winston got out of the palace.
Frank and Winston sit at a table in the bar, just outside the palace. Both of them were silent, they don't want to talk after all that humiliation that they went through together. But for how long?
"I don't like that motherfucker even a bit", Frank finally said, breaking the silence.
Winston didn't say anything but took a sip from his drink, and kept looking at him.
" Aren't you gonna say anything?" Frank said being annoyed by Winston's silence.
Winston chuckled and say,
"I remember my old days when I used to be a beginner in the underworld. Everyone used to treat me like shit. It's not new to me how Boris treats us" he took another sip from his drink and put down the glass on the table, and continued,
"But what Boris didn't know is that time changes. You know Frank, sometimes you just need to feel this moment when people treat you like shit. Don't run away from it, this is who you are at that moment. That man just reminded you how weak and pathetic you are, feel that pain of being helpless, and seed it in your heart, preserve it there until that pain turns into the wound which slowly rots your heart and kills this helpless you, so the stronger one can be born"
Winston sighed, his eyes were burning with anger, but he is not the kind of person who wastes his anger. He knows how to cultivate it into something better.

"So what do we do now?" Frank said, reading Winston's eyes.
"I don't know," Winston replied instantly.
"Well, we have another way to kill Lanark, but that's gonna take lots of time and effort". Frank said while taking a sip from his glass.
Winston didn't say anything but kept looking at him while drinking from his glass.
" This is from Africa, it's handmaid by the local peoples", Fiona said while showing a vase, which looks quite old, and beautifully painted.
"Look at the texture here, the paint looks so alive", she continued while looking at Winston and pointing towards the colours on the vase. Winston lean forward to look closely, and said,
" Sometimes I think that the best artists in the world remain unknown and undiscovered" Fiona smiled at his thought. She had a very beautiful smile. She was wearing a white dress which came till her knees, and she looks extremely beautiful in that dress.
"Being creative is different, and being able to sell is different. The world often remembers who knows how to sell" She says, with an intense look in her eyes.
Winston smiled slightly at her thought, to show his agreement. They walked ahead, it was a big drawing-room, decorated with artefacts from around the world, and Fiona was showing them one by one.
Dang Lee lives in Beijing, and Winston has come here for work, so he thought about meeting him. But Dang Lee was out of town.
Deep inside Winston was happy that Dang Lee was not home. He was surprised by his feelings. It's been almost two months since their first meeting. After that meeting, Winston started selling his guns into the western market through Dang lee.
War has already started, the western underworld has already destroyed 3 consignments travelling from China to Germany via sea. And in return, Winston destroyed their drug consignment travelling from Afghanistan.
Every day people are dying from both gangs. And things are getting complicated with every passing day.
Winston lives in Singapore and does all his business from here. After meeting Fiona last time, he kept thinking about her. When he used to be with a woman, he started fantasising about her face with another woman.
And now that he finds out Dang lee is not home, he kinda feels excited about it. They both walk out of the hall to the pool area,
"So, why did you start selling guns?" Fiona asked while walking beside Winston and looking at him, throwing away the hair that fell on her eyes with the wind.
After a little silence and thinking, he said,
"Because it's profitable and always in demand, people are getting angrier with every passing day. Everyone wants vengeance these days" he looked at her beautiful wide eyes and for a moment he forgot what he was talking about and fumbled, and stopped speaking.
Fiona noticed it and smiled a little. She kept walking in silence for a moment and asked again,
"So you sell vengeance in return for money?"
Winston stops and turns to look at her, she also stops and turns towards him, they reach the end of the pool, there is a garden ahead with small and big trees. A gardener was watering the bushes, he noticed them from the corner of his eyes, and again started minding his business.
"Sometimes it's vengeance that keeps people going, Mrs Lee" firstly he looked at her eyes, and then he turned them towards her lips, and he couldn't help but stare at them, she had a very beautiful pair of pink lips, she noticed his stare.
Winston felt embarrassed and looked away, while Fiona felt shy and also looked away. They again start walking, into the garden a minute passed by without saying anything.
"So do you have any kids?" Fiona asked, trying to push away the awkward silence with the words.
"No, I am not married yet," Winston said without looking at her.

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

Code Reader Kagami (LitRPG)
Sometimes things happen in this world that we are not in control of. Sometimes we are to a certain degree, and sometimes we are completely in control. However, this is a tale that constantly questions those boundaries. The story follows Kagami, a young programmer, as he winds up in a world almost alien to him. If it were up to him, he would have never visited this world and would rather stay raising his young daughter. Was it through his own actions that he had wound up here? Was it due to several combinations of factors? Or was it something he completely chose. These are questions that constantly haunt Kagami’s mind as he wanders this world and ponders his actions. Unfortunately, the glaring truth of it all refuses to ever look him in the eyes. Each night as he looks up at the night sky, he wonders if the end of this would turn out like the game he made. A tale of Guts and Glory… or would it turn out like he fears, a tale of blood and tears. Regardless of how it turns out, he will one day unveil the truth enshrouding it all. And perhaps in doing so, unveil the fate of his old world, enshrouded by mystery. ___________________________________________________________________________ While this is a typical Isekai started by the infamous truck-kun, the story is most definitely not what is to be taken at face value. I love making tragic twists into these types of stories. For Code Reader Kagami, you'll begin to see a descent into psychological madness. As your hero changes entirely from the moral man he initially was. If you're not a fan of dark aspect stories, this one is not for you. Thank you~
