《Summoning the Queen of Hell》The Coronation

Sitri blinked, two violet eyes heavy with thick black lashes blinking back at her in the mirror. Her hair was usually a dark waterfall cascading down her back; but today it was carefully curled and pinned behind her horns into an elaborate hairstyle she had spent hours letting them pull her hair and prick her head just to achieve. Perfect for the crown to rest upon.
Her dress was black, barely stretching over her ample breasts and draping down her waist, leaving her back bare, spinning down to a skirt of maroon flames with a slit up to her hip. She was as beautiful as she was powerful which was usually how it worked for demons, the higher classed demons being able to blend in on earth. She enjoyed her form in particular as it was perfect to hunt men's souls, her favorite.
A royal cape of violet circled around her slender white shoulders, the heavy white trim covering her jet black wings, folded closely against her back.
She tilted her head and licked her lips, her full red lips pulling into a wry smile. She looked like a queen. She could almost hear her father slick voice behind her, slippery as an eel congratulating her for becoming what she had fought so hard against.
She closed her eyes and thought of everything it took to get her here. To her becoming the Queen of Hell after her father Lucifer.
She would become the new symbol of evil. Her words would strike fear in the lesser demons as they scrambled to serve her and she had free reign, in fact, encouragement to deal as much chaos and travesty as she could. In a blink of an eye, she had the power to lay hundreds of men to waste without a flicker of emotion. She could make the Heavens tremble with her power and raw potential. That is what it meant to be daughter of Lucifer. To be the Queen of Hell. That was of course if she accepted it. Which she would of course, because this is what she was born for. The only thing she was born for.

Was this really what she wanted? She never had time to ask herself. If she had been born in a different situation where would she be? Maybe who would she be? She shook her had, it was silly to have regrets mere moments from being crowned she was having her doubts. While it was true her fate was now not completely her father's, someone still had to take the throne and she would never let her brothers bear that burden. After all, this was her destiny alone.
A sharp knock interrupted her from her musings as outside a male guard called "Your majesty, it is time".
She completed her ensemble by slipping on her mother's old necklace, holding the purple tear shaped amysist tightly in her palm for a moment as she mentally pulled herself together. On her head she placed a small crown of black thorns and roses with a full body veil coming down in a cloud of black lace covering her form. It was time whether she had asked for it or not. Her fate awaited her outside those doors.
With a deep breath, she squared her shoulders and stepped out, a vision of glory and darkness and glided down the carpet, each step a step closer to destiny. The heavy oak doors are held open as she gracefully slipped inside to the bows of heavily armed guards. The clamorings of the demons quieted a few notches as she ascended the steps to the throne. Almost every demon in Hell was there to gawk at the new Queen that had defeated Lucifer the King of darkness. It was up to her to keep them in thier place and make sure they knew who was truely in power now.
At the top waited the small hunched figure of the High Demon Priest, Augustus. He glared at her with his yellowed eyes and wrinkly face, grasping the crown in his green talons. He was her fathers follower but forced to comply to tradition and laws to crown the heir.

On the top step she kneels and he callously removed her veil and threw it aside, placing the heavy crown of Hell upon her head. A crown made from hellfire, black as soot coming up in sharp spires. Not the daintiest of crowns but as it was meant too, had the aura of death and darkness, the perfect crown for the Underworld.
She pledged her immortal life and soul to serving hell faithfully before Augustus beckoned her to stand with his scrawny fingers. Standing with dignity, she raised her arms and wings, stretching them out fully from under the cape so they caught all the shimmers of violet whereupon every demon dropped to thier knees and placed thier head to the ground in a show of the deepest respect. She was the new Queen!
"You may rise" She says graciously after a few moments, folding her wings away. "And we shall proceed to the banquet."
"All hail the Queen!!!" Came the raucous and joyous cries as hoards of greedy demons raced for the banquet hall and smells of delicious foods. Later there would be many festivities, mainly fighting and drinking as that was how many demons passed their time.
She lingered back for a moment, more so than looking forward to food, she was looking forward to seeing her dear brothers which she hadn't seen since the Hell Takeover.
All three of them where special and had a deep connection. She would have had gone down a very different path without them and she would always protect them with everything she had. For a moment she let herself remember how exactly she got here. Starting all the way from the beginning.

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
