《The Battlemage [FINISHED]》The Z Squad - Chapter 5

"Whew, finally here. It took way too long to get here... Lets go." Doccor rushed into the adventurers guild. Inside, he saw many 'ripped' men with massive swords about the size of himself. The intimidation didn't work on a master magician.
As Doccor approached the counter, he saw a man with black combed hair and a red suit.
The man said to Doccor
"Hello, what can I do for you."
"I'd like to sign up as an adventurer."
The counter person eyed Doccor up and down, scanning him to see if he was worthy or not.
"Okay, adventurer cards are 50 silver. You can pay up front or in the next two weeks."
Honestly, the counter person couldn't care less about who he gave adventurer cards to. He'd get a commision either way for someone signing up.
"I'll pay in two weeks. I don't have any money right now."
"I can see that."
The counter person mumbled under his breath. He could tell from how he dressed and the fact that he had no weapon. He was sure Doccor would die in the first two weeks.
"May I ask for your name?"
"Err, Doccor Dales."
"Thank you, please wait here."
The counter person walked away behind a door at the back. He shortly came back with a brown card in his hand.
"Here is your Bronze card. As you clear more quests, you can rise in rank and get better cards. From lowest to highest, we have Bronze, Copper, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum. We don't have a rank and quest restriction but we insist that a Bronze adventurer to not take a Platinum quest. They involve dragons and trust me, you do NOT want to meet them."
Doccor took the card, said his goodbyes and head to the notice board. It was plastered on the wall with pieces of paper taped on all over the place. Doccor thought he should be able to handle at least a Copper quest.

As he searched for Copper quests, he found one he though he could try out. It asked to kill 10 skeletons from the dungeon crypt at the outskirts of town. From memory, skeletons were weak to blunt attacks and magic. He had both.
He left after accepting the quest by bringing the sheet over to the counter and left to the location of the crypt. These kinds of locations were called 'dungeons'.
'Damn, those three are still following me. Maybe I should get rid of them?' Doccor had noticed three people stalking him for a while now. He had no idea why. Maybe they were criminals and Doccor was their victim. One thing was for sure, if they attacked, he wouldn't go down without a fight.
'Maybe I should just get rid of these fools.' Doccor was contemplating on which decision was best. He was lost in thought that he wasn't looking in front of him. He ran into wall. At that moment, he could hear the three men snickering and giggling.
Doccor sure wasn't happy. He made up his mind. He was gonna teach them a lesson.
As he walked up to the men with a big guy walk, the men froze up. He could hear them.
"What do we do Zoro?"
"I, i don't know. Lets just silence him and get it over with."
Doccor got into a fighting stance. He readied his fists as the men revealed themselves and all three pulled out daggers. The two in on the sides were bulky looking while the one in the middle was small and thin. The middle one was Zoro.
While the men circled him, Doccor prepared a spell. He chanted quietly so the men couldn't hear. It was a spell that covered the hands in ice. (Kinda like a rock fist?)

While his assailants continuously circled him, Doccor had finished the spell. He enhanced his body and released the spell, creating ice around his fists with many jagged ends. They would pack quite the punch.
As soon as the assailants noticed Doccor casted magic, they pounced on him.
As the biggest one took a swing, Doccor ducked out of the way and smashed his ice fists into the big guys shin. This big guy was Zael.
(-55HP) (-58HP)
When Doccor noticed Zoi about to slash him, he grabbed Zael's legs and pulled himself under the legs to end up behind Zael. Fortunately, Zael had taken on a stance that had his legs spread. Possibly for balance.
Zoi wasn't fast enough to acknowledge Doccor's appearance and his dagger cut a deep wound in Zael's knee.
Doccor, who was behind Zael, smashed his ice fist into Zael's back. Specifically his spine.
(-98HP) (Stun)
"AARRRGGGH." Zael cried out in pain.
"What the hell! Isn't Jack just a little shit who can barely walk straight?" Zoro questioned Doccor's speed and skill. It was incomparable between Jack and Doccor. However, Zoro didn't know that Jack was now Doccor.
Zael was worried. He only had 46 Health Points left. One more hit could possibly end him.
Zael's worries were confirmed as Doccor roundhouse punched Zael in the head, instantly killing him.
(-76HP) (DEAD)
Zael's body toppled over Zoi, pinning him but before Doccor could finish him off, Zoro joined the fight.
"You ain't gettin' away that easily Jack."
'Who is Jack??? I heard them referring to me as Jack countless times while they were following me. Wait a minute... Coukd that be the previous body owner's name? It all adds up! This is weird, I seem to only remember a certain amount of things.' Doccor finally made the conclusion that his body was Jack's. A shocking revelation indeed.
Zoro took the initiative, rocketing towards him, duel daggers in hands.
The sound of crunches coukd be heard just after.
(-7HP)
Zoro's daggers had hit ice. More specifically, Doccor had furthered the ice on his hands to reach his elbows and held up his arms to protect against the daggers. Although it was effective, it was draining his mana at an amazing speed.
Doccor regained his senses first and crushed Zoro's nose with his fist, instantly knocking him out.
(-67HP) (Sleep)
Now that the fight was over, Doccor took his time cracking Zoro and Zoi's necks by twisting their heads at a fast speed, although he had difficulties at first.
(-999999HP) (DEAD) (-999999HP) (DEAD)
Doccor immediately placed 6 points into agility and the rest into strength.
'Hmm. Now that I think about it, I could have gotten imformation out of them. Damn.' Doccor regret his instant actions.
He patted down all the bodies and on Zoro, he found a note.
Ey Zoro, the new slaves died. Bring three more kids to Anevo Lane second alley. The password is 'Goblins Death'.
Hurry unless you want to end up like the last three slaves.
"Maybe I should give these guys a visit. Could they be Jack's captors? Don't worry Jack, i'll dish out some revenge. Soon enough." Doccor gave condolensces to Jack and continued on to the crypt. Not before looting and hiding the corpses of the Z squad.
