《The Battlemage [FINISHED]》Interference - Chapter 3

It was another nightmare, worse than the others. Doccor dreamt of his family, only to see them torn apart by demons. He'd have to stop sleeping soon.
Doccor woke up, drenched in sweat. Doccor placed the nightmare deep down, never to be found. He took a quick bath and continued training. It had been 2 months since he met that goblin. Doccor had made a dummy out of wood to practice his swordsmanship and a rock wall to practice magic on. Since Doccor knew in-depth magic, he mainly focused on his melee capabilities. He was still using the schmitar from that goblin.
In the past two months, Doccor sometimes went out to kill goblins, but that was only when Doccor was 100% sure of his survivability.
Doccor became much more powerful. 'Whoops. I should get another log. Maybe look for some goblins?' Doccor had accidentally chopped off the wooden dummy's head.
Doccor left the cave once again.
At the same time,
"Parker, lets get going. I'd rather not stay here at night." This group of adventurers was currently taking a quest they saw in town. It was placed by some people who'd rather stay anonymous. The quest was to find and burn an 'evil mage'. The last sitings were in the Azulian Forest, where Doccor currently took residency.
"Alright, alright. I'll go." Parker got off the ground of the (used to be) camp, stuffing his mouth with the bread in his hands.
"Jeez, you eat too much. Lets go people. Wanna get the reward as soon as possible." The leader of this group assembled the 4 adventurers and head deeper into the Azulian Forest.
On the way, this group saw some chopped trees, dead goblins and the such. They could only guess this was the evil mage's doing.

"Lets follow these tracks. They may lead us to the culprit." The leader and the rest followed the tracks in the dirt laid out by the oblivious evil mage.
After at least 20 more minutes of trekking, the group arrived at a cave with a lake, wooden dummy and a tattered shirt.
"This must be the mage's hideout. Look, theres the clothes specified by the questers. Clyde, be on the lookout in case the mage comes back." The leader journeyed into the cave and took out a large roll of cotton.
The leader spread the cotton into a pile at the middle of the cave and sprinkled black powder over it. He took out some liquid from a potion in his bag and placed it in the middle of the pile.
"Alright everyone, outside now. Angela, shoot the bottle." The leader jogged out the cave along with all the other adventurers.
Angela, the designated archer, took out her bow and an arrow and opulled back the bow. Once she let loose, the arrow smashed the potion causing a small fire on the cotton.
Moments later, the fire expands instantly and explodes, taking the roof of the cave down, burying everything inside.
Several of the adventurers fall on their asses, new to the explosion.
"Hahaha, looks like the quest is done. Lets tell the guild that the mage was killed in the fire. Thats some easy money right there. I'm sure that mage'll be mad. Hehehehehe" The leader laughs away as he takes the adventurers back into town, their quest finished.
Inside a tavern in town are 5 people sitting around a table. The leader has a large bag of gold and is currently dividing it into equal shares.
"Although you guys didn't need to fight at all, a promise is a promise. Here's your pay." The leader pushes a pile of gold in front of everyone. "

"Pleasure doing business." "Meet again!" "Goodbye." Everyone but Angela and the leader leave, saying their goodbyes.
"Job well done I suppose. Shall we head back home?" The leader asks Angela and she agrees. They both leave quietly.
Somewhere in the Azulian Forest, Doccor is killing off a goblin. "Hyaah!" Doccor lands the killing blow on the goblins head, rendering it motionless on the floor.

'Finally, that took 23 goblins compared to the last level. Maybe I should change opponents? I'll distribute the points for now.' Doccor spends 3 points to agility and 2 to wisdom.
