《The Battlemage [FINISHED]》First Encounter - Chapter 2

Doccor had a nightmare in his sleep. He was stuck in a pitch black world with constant whispering in his head. This was the cause of the dark arts.
Doccor got off his back and pushed the nightmare into the farthest depths of his mind. He then stripped and had a bath in the lake. A bath was a rare privilege as Doccor's timetable had no breaks. This was another regretful decision.
Once finished with the bath, Doccor used his dirty shirt to dry himself. He put on his pants and walked towards the entrance of the cave.
'I should probably check my location.' On the outside, it was a rainforest for as far as the eye could see. It was a beautiful scene for Doccor. He almost teared up but kept it inside.
Doccor deemed it was safe and sat down next to the lake. He concentrated, pulled the mana inside his body to his hands and tried to create a ball of mana. It didn't work. The mana wouldn't leave his body. Doccor would have to practice this more often. His body wasn't used to it.
Doccor wouldn't only train his magic. He'd faced the consequences before. After trying to make a mana ball a dozen times with little progress, he gave up for now.
Based on Doccor's memories, the monsters on this world were savage creatures with little intelligence. 'If I want to survive, I will have to train my body as well. Maybe... A combination of magic and melee weapons?' Doccor felt a switch click in his head. He'd definitely try this. 'I will need to train at least 2 or 3 years to be prepared.' Doccor was going to try his hardest.
Doccor went down with his chest on his floor. He tried to do a push up but when he pushed with his hands, he couldn't lift his body. 'How am I supposed to train like this?' Thats when Doccor remembered he had 15 stat points. He instantly spent all 15 to strength.

Doccor tried to do a push up again to find it was easy to do a full push up.
Doccor exercised for 2 hours. He stopped when he heard a crack along with sharp pain to his left arm. He had earned 3 points to strength, 1 to agility and vitality. It was a good gain.
By meditating, Doccor learned his left arm was fractured. The bones were too weak. Doccor left to the forest and looked for a large leaf. Once finding a tree with wide leaves, Doccor wrapped the leaf around his shoulder and left arm. It would work as a substitute sling for now.
As Doccor was about to head back, he heard scuffling around the trees to his right. As he switched his vision towards the sound, he saw an ugly green humanoid walking towards him. Above its head, showed
'Goblin Warrior LVL.8'
It had a sword in its left hand. Doccor could notice dried blood covering the sword. He wasn't sure he could battle the goblin in his current state so ran back to the cave. The unfortunate thing was, the goblin was as fast as him meaning he couldn't avoid a fight.
Doccor spun around and circulated mana to his arms and legs. Although he couldn't make spells outside his body, he could harden and enhance from the inside.
The goblin, unexpecting the sudden stop, stumbled and fell over for a couple of seconds. Doccor used this opportunity to take the initiative. He ran towards the goblin, jumped upwards and drop kicked its head.

(-19HP) (Stun)
This was new to Doccor. His previous world didn't have such a system. Doccor sent a flurry of strikes with his right arm to the goblins face and stomach, giving a new black and blue color to the goblin.
(-11HP) (-9HP) (-13HP)
Before Doccor could connect his fourth strike, the goblin had regained its senses and swung at his hand with its sword, cutting his left hand in half and grazing his chest.
(-45HP)
The pain was unreal for Doccor. Although the pain resistance helped, he used to have the maximum level for it in his previous world. He wasn't used to so much pain.
As Doccor's adrenaline climbed, the goblin got ready for a second swing. Before the goblin could hit, Doccor sent a kick at the goblin, pushing it back for a moment,p. In this moment, Doccor took a step to its side and held his hand under the upper part of the goblins left arm, raised his leg over the lower part and swung downwards with his leg, breaking the goblins arm.
(-56HP) (Stun) (Disabled) (Bleed) (-3HP)
The goblin let out an extremely high pitched scream and dropping its sword. Doccor grabbed the sword from the ground and charged at the goblin. The sword pierced its chest and Doccor continued rushing until the goblin slammed into a tree, pinning it.
(-34HP) (Bleed) (-3HP) (-3HP)
As Doccor left the goblin stuck to the tree with the sword piercing its chest to the tree bark, he took a breather.
(-3HP) (-3HP)
Doccor truly hated this goblin. To give Doccor such pain was the same as rebelling against the gods. At least in Doccor's mind.
(-3HP) (DEAD)
The struggling of the goblin disappeared and it hung lifelessly off the tree.
'That was dangerous. It seems like levelling up fixes you.' Doccor looked at his left hand. It was completely healed.
Doccor took the sword out of the goblins chest and went back to the cave without looking back.
Doccor arrived at the cave and examined the sword. Unfortunately, there was no appraisal system. The sword Doccor held was a plain old schmitar with no special designs. Although slightly blunt, it was acceptable at the moment.
Doccor left the cave and practiced the sword on the nearest tree while trying to push mana out into his hands in the form of a ball.
This went on for hours.
