《Smoking Bandits》SB2.2 - Rell Card

At Bluvak Continent, Frontier Town also serves as a source of raw materials for timber industry. As one of the Frontier Towns, Pinetown cannot be separated from this function.
Therefore, it is not surprising that there are several sawmills around Pinetown, which are also places to hand over the game. Be it the animal game or the Hostile Race game.
One of the sawmills around Pine Town is Sawmill 55. It is located 5 km east of Pinetown and only 4 km from Villa Ezter.
Sawmill 55 has 30 workers who are all skilled at using firearms. There are still 12 Pine Co personnel and 80 contractors affiliated with Pine Co.
Although he is the highest leader at Sawmill 55, Captain Jaret prefers to spend his time at the game receiving area. That way, if there is a dispute over the value of the game, he can immediately intervene.
The sun had already passed its highest point, therefore not many hunters had visited Sawmill 55. And when a young man came to hand over his game, Captain Jaret decided to serve him directly.
As soon as the young man put his prey on the scales, Captain Jaret immediately examined it, and he was surprised when he found a single fatal gunshot wound and a bloodletting cut that was so perfect.
'Very young but knows how to approach herds of impala, delivered a fatal shot, and applied a perfect bloodletting. He also smart enough to selects a male impala which is just entering legal age to be hunted.'
It was rare for a young hunter to be so skilled. Therefore Captain Jaret was interested in getting to know the young man before him.
Moreover, he did not carry the game on his nape like most dumb hunters. Given that when in high grass or forest that is dense with bushes, a game that is carried on the nape will look like a prey grazing.
Especially when viewed from behind a hunter's scope who are prone, sitting, or kneeling at a distance of more than 200 meters.

Captain Jaret immediately turned to the young man. "You can call me Captain Jaret. What's your name?"
"Lark, Sir"
"Did you wake up late or did you usually hunt during the day?"
Lark shook his head slowly before answering, "Depart at dawn through the west gate, then check the area by taking the route north until I get here."
Captain Jaret gave a small nod before continuing to examine the young impala Lark had handed over.
The game price is influenced by many factors other than weight. The meat of females is softer, while males have fur that is easier to work with, expensive horns, and a phallus that is very popular with hunters. Younger games are also 30% more expensive.
In short, determining a game value is not a simple matter. But with years of experience, Captain Jaret can finish the calculations in three breaths.
"A young male Impala weighing 35 kg, I'll give it 80 Rell."
"Accepted."
As soon as Lark gave his consent, Captain Jaret immediately said, "Give me your Rell Card."
While scratching the back of his head, Lark answered somewhat sheepishly, "I still don't have a Rell Card."
"Then you better make it as soon as possible. So people who want to rob you think twice."
"Understood."
Without wasting time Captain Jaret then paid Lark in Rell coin.

To regulate currency circulation Creator Emperor founded Hummel Union, and the financial institution's most innovative product is Rell Card.
Rell Card is a transaction tool that is very suitable for people who frequently travel. Moreover, Rell Cards can only be used by the owner, cannot be transferred, and cannot be used for cash withdrawals.
That's why Lark was unable to use Drakar's Rell Card. However, he was not too disappointed. After all, Drakar had given him banknotes and coins worth more than 200 thousand Rell, along with 80 kg gold bars of various sizes.
Once he arrived in Pine Town, Lark immediately visited the Pine Town branch office of Hummel Union.

The counter clerk indifferently checked the personal data sheet Lark had just filled out, then handed him a green card made of polymer.
"Put your blood on this empty Rell Card, then hand over the amount you want to fill along with the administration fee of 50 Rell."
After dripping his blood on the blank Rell Card, Lark then handed it to the counter clerk along with a 100 gr gold bar.
For a moment, the counter clerk watched the unmarked gold bar offered by Lark. Considering only slave traders and criminal syndicates use unmarked gold bars.
"Where did you get this gold bar?"
"Borrowed it from my father's safe."
While looking deeply at Lark, the counter clerk let out a deep sigh. But he didn't say a word.
After inserting the blank Rell Card with Lark's bloodstained into a scanner, the counter clerk began typing. Not long after that, he had handed over Lark's Rell Card.
"Your DNA has been recorded on this Rell Card. So only you can use it."
"Thank you."
After nodding slightly, Lark then examined his Rell Card. On the surface of his Rell Card, only two pieces of information were printed. First, his full name that written in capital letters. Second, the figure number 5,150 / 1,000,000.
Lark then turned to the counter clerk and asked.
"Is this Rell Card limit one million Rell?"
"Yes, for Rell Cards with a limit above one million Rell, you must go to Hummel Union branch office in Alba City."
"Then, can I make some more Rell Cards?"
"Of course."
Without delay Lark then handed the counter clerk four 100 gr gold bars.

One block from Glue House stands the huge and wide complex of Pine Company HQ. Like most military bases, Pine Co also has a Post Exchange or PX Store.
Apart from being the only supplier of firearms, ammunition, and other military equipment, Pine PX Store also sells various other necessities including opening a barbershop, cafe, restaurant, and sports gym.
Before returning to Glue House, Lark took the time to shop at Pine PX Store. He bought several sets of underwear, combat T-shirts, and tactical pants in various sizes to complete the existing collection in the Wrist Pocket.
He also bought several sets of personal hygiene kits, an electric hair-cutter, black glasses specifically designed for CQB, a few Kassio G-Watch with shock/water resistance, and a map.
After that, Lark went to the cigarette and beverage counter. He has heard from Milev that Kuba is the most expensive cigarette on Bluvak Continent. Therefore he wants to know the details. Considering that from Villa Ezter he got more than 200 boxes of Kuba.
A female counter clerk kindly greeted Lark, "What can I do for you?"
"Do you have Cuba?"
Without delay, the female counter clerk handed Lark a pack of 10-sticks Kuba. "Twenty-four Rells and there's a discount if you buy a box of 36 packs."
'A single stick is equivalent to three cans of beer,' muttered Lark before turning to the female counter clerk, "Give me three boxes of Kuba and a pack 6-cans of beer."
"Roger." The female counter clerk then cheerfully processes Lark's order.
When paying, Lark only needs to insert his Rell Card into the slot on a rell machine up to two-thirds of the way, and continues to hold it until the red light on the rell machine turns green.
Once the payment is successful, the female counter clerk immediately hands over Lark's items. "Thank you for shopping at Pine PX Store."
"Your welcome," Lark replied and smiled, then hurrying toward the exit.
Now, he has confirmed that draining other people's Rell Cards is not easy. 'Looks like I have to work hard.'

Can he regain his own body, and would he still want to when all is said and done? [The Story] What this story is: A LitRPG, portal-like, slow-moving story with a protagonist who has to balance crafting and 'magic' to survive. The books have a pre-thought-out plot and finish. Also, the world is harsh, and things don't always go the MC's way. What it is not: A drama, romance, grimdark, although these elements might appear. I've had some feedback that the intro seems to set up a very rough life for the MC. There is a reason for this, and I hope you give it a try beyond the first few chapters. Do note, this is not an unreasonably harsh novel.
