《Smoking Bandits》SB1.3 - Glue House

Woodland 2 km west of Pinetown, after making sure there were no humans around, Lark transformed into a human form.
Lark can send clothes or whatever he is wearing to Wrist Pocket at the same time, without having to take them off first. But to put them back on, he had to wear them one by one.
For clothes, Lark chose flat dark earth jungle boots, tiger stripe tactical pants, a green moss T-shirt, and a dark green jungle hat.
He then wears a tactical belt and shoulder strap, along with some mag pouches, poncho, water canteen, potion pouch, ration pouch, and multipurpose pouch. While on the right shoulder strap he places a pack of cigarettes and matches. For weapons, he chose an M14, Glock 19, and Kabar combat knife.
In less than five minutes, Lark turned into one of thousands local hunters. With light steps, he then walked towards the west gate of Pinetown. One of Frontier Towns on Bluvak Continent, which is the barrier between human and Hostile Race territory.
Like any small town on earth, Pinetown is equipped with electricity, clean water, and concrete roads. If Pinetown had not been surrounded by 25 meter high walls with hundreds of machine-gun nests, Lark would have thought he was entering a remote city on earth.
Calmly and quietly, Lark passed the group of hunters who were preparing for the night hunt, then hurried toward the downtown. After combing a few blocks, he finally found what he was looking for. With a cheerful smile he then entered Glue Pub, the most famous drinking place in Pinetown.

Milev is one of the pioneers who founded Pinetown three years ago. While most of his comrades moved to the larger city after quitting being a hunter, he chose to stay in and opened Glue Pub.

Every month there are at least 30-50 new hunters who come to Pinetown. That's why Milev did not feel out of place when a young man he did not know entered Glue Pub and sat down at the counter.
Judging from his face, it seemed that the young man had just passed the age of 20. However, his gaze and bear showed that he was full of life and death experiences. Also, the equipment and weapons he carried were not excessive but practical and adequate.
Milev warmly greets the young man, "How was your day?"
"Not too bad."
"Drink or dinner?"
Without looking at the menu board, the young man handed him a 10 Rell coin. "Bison Stew and Almond Beer."
Milev cheerfully grabbed the coin, and soon returned from the kitchen carrying a large wooden tray.
"Please enjoy, and feel free to ask for potato salad or onion sauce refill."
"Thank you."
The young man then enjoyed his dinner heartily, and with a full understanding Milev stepped aside to serve other guests.

Lark did not feel strange when he found that his body had become much stronger and younger. As for his very sensitive five senses, he can raise or lower them as if adjusting the volume of the tv.
That's why Lark was not bothered by the noise in the pub, or having trouble eating too salty potato salad and too sour onion sauce.
In an instant, Lark wiped out his dinner. But the hunger that hit his stomach did not reduce at all. While the beer he drank did not give the effect he hoped for. It was as if he was drinking non-alcoholic beer for a pregnant woman.
'My stomach, please be patient for a moment.' Lark then grabbed the pack of cigarettes from the shoulder strap, and studied it for a moment.

The cigarette brand is Kuba and there is a statement that these cigarettes are environmentally friendly and do not destroy the ozone layer.
Lark did not recognize the composition of the cigarette, but from the first puff he noticed the taste and aroma of a Cuban cigar. Although the size of the cigarette is smaller and darker in color.
When Lark realized that Milev picked up the wooden tray in front of him while looking at the Kuba in his hand intensely, he immediately put the pack of Kuba on the table.
"Please enjoy."
"Thanks, and you can call me Milev."
"You can call me Lark." After helping Milev lit a Kuba, Lark continues, "I heard you were renting out a house?"
"Yeah, but the building is too big if you live alone."
"No problem, I like a quiet place."
After pondering for a moment, Milev then said, "I can take you to have a look first. After that, you can decide."
"Okay."
Lark then got up and followed Milev.

Just behind Glue Pub, Milev owns a house. The house has three main rooms, an armory, living room, lounge, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. Milev named this house Glue House.
Next to Glue House kitchen, there is a Butcher Quarter, which is equipped with a place to wash games and a large stone stove. Meanwhile, in one corner of the wide courtyard stood an 16 m tall fig tree.
Milev ensures that Glue House is always in a condition ready to use. Therefore, prospective tenants can immediately live in the Glue House after paying the rent.
After taking Lark around, Milev said, "The rent costs 2000 Rell/month, excluding electricity and water consumption. You can bring any number of people to live here, but never make a fuss."
Lark immediately pulled out a 10,000 Rell banknote. "I'll pay for the first five months, and if there's a convoy headed for Grane Harbor please let me know."
While accepting the banknote, Milev said, "Every year there is only one convoy to Grane Harbor, and the last one only left last month. So you will have to wait a little while."
"I know."
Seeing Lark answer so calmly, curiosity instantly piqued Milev's heart.
"Lark, if you don't mind. May I know where you came from?"
Lark casually answered, "Some remote corner on Lastorta Continent. I fought with my father and came here to calm down."
Milev has a hard time imagining what kind of fight would have driven Lark to escape across continents. But he knows not to dig too deep.
"Well, I hope you soon find the calm you hoped for."
Milev then patted Lark on the shoulder before continuing.
"I'll go back to the pub and feel free if you have anything to ask. For the receipt for your rent, I'll hand it over tomorrow."
"Okay."
After Milev disappeared behind the back door of Glue Pub, Lark then looked at Glue House and pondered. In less than 24 hours he had managed to secure information, money, food, clothes, weapons, and even a place to live.
However, Lark realized that he was still at the starting point and the real journey was just about to begin. With a deep sigh, Lark then entered his new home.

Surprisingly, in the fantasy LitRPG genre. A girls death forms the foundation for a plan centuries in the making. But when she shakes off their control, and forces the plans of beings millenia old to change, can she avoid being tied up as a loose end? With only what she could take with her in her mind, and a new body with surprising depths, she begins her new life in a world unlike her own. This is my first writing project in almost a decade, so there is going to be a lot of improvements from me as I shake off the rust. And of course, as the world I'm creating comes to life! So if you like the concept, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll reach the high standards I know you have. Edit (04/04/2018): Witness the power of my complete lack of any artistic talent! There is now cover art for this fiction. Its just barely better than the default, but hey, minimalism is in, right?
