《Martial Resolve》Chapter 15: Body Purification

Wu Niu sat by flowing water, with eyes shut tight. He focused his mind solely on restructuring his heart. If he were to lose his focus for even a split-second, his heart would be destroyed, and he would die.
Wu Niu visualized his heart as it came to a sudden stop. Within that split-second of it stopping, the tissue comprising it shredded to pieces exfoliating all of its innate toxins. Melding back together, it resumed pumping normally.
It was immediately evident to Wu Niu that his heart had become stronger. It could now pump blood with more force and could resupply his blood with oxygen and qi quicker.
-Next, I'll restructure my lungs.
Wu Niu visualized his lung and diaphragm flatten down like a pancake. Wu Niu felt the sudden and complete loss of his ability to breathe. Within that same second, his lungs puffed back up, replenishing themselves with newly cleansed tissue.
Wu Niu felt his breathing had become more robust and more enriching.
-Okay, now let's do the stomach tract and other body organs.
Wu Niu visualized his stomach, intestines, kidneys, liver, bladder, spleen, pancreas, and gall bladder—restructuring each one in that order. It was an intensely painful process. But, by the end of it, he could feel that his body was much healthier, sturdier, and had better qi flow (for what little qi he had).
Then Wu Niu turned his attention toward his head.
-Let's start with the brain.
Wu Niu restructured his brain, improving all of his mental functions and capacities that come with it. Directly following this, he began to restructure all of his lesser organs. That included his eyes, ears, multiple different glands, etcetera.
-Almost finished.
Wu Niu then restructured his bones. They audibly fractured into pieces as they purged all of the air bubbles and toxins within them. Filling up with calcium, they reform more compact.

Lightly grunting, Wu Niu focused intensely, as he had reached the hardest and most complicated part of the process.
Interlocking his hands together, Wu Niu concentrated on envisioning and restructuring his ligaments, nerves, blood vessels, joints, valves, muscles, and every other part of his body. Doing so increased his body's strength, durability, as well as his blood and qi flow.
-Lastly, I'll restructure my skin.
Wu Niu felt his skin condense and toughen. He also felt the pores on his skin become more absorbent to energy in the atmosphere.
-Finally.
After the process was finished, Wu Niu opened his eyes and looked across the river deep into the forest. It was immediately evident that his vision had been drastically improved. He could see things further away and with much more clarity.
Wu Niu recognized that his sense of hearing and smell were also improved. All of Wu Niu's senses were improved in multiple different ways. His body felt denser, heavier, and more robust. His thinking was more reactive and faster, and his memories were more precise and detailed. What little qi he had circulated throughout his body nominally faster.
Many mental and physical changes were made within Wu Niu's body for the better. That being said, he knew some changes weren't within him, but rather outward.
-I wonder?
Looking down to the water flowing at his feet, he saw in it the pale reflection of his transformed visage. The bone restructuring and skin restructuring made his face a lot more bearable on the eyes. He was still far from being considered attractive, but he might be regarded as just barely breaking average. Fortunately, his facial scarring seemed to have disappeared entirely.
Wu Niu heterochromatic eyes visibly dilated as he refocused them. Inspecting them closer, he noticed something had changed with the color of his irises. It was as if the brown in his left eye had grown darker, while blue in his right eye seemed to have turned a shade paler.

-That's not supposed to happen. Is it?!
Wu Niu furrowed his brow, contemplating what the implications of his eye colors polarizing could mean.
-Maybe it has something to do with my abnormal soul.
Wu Niu's questioning is cut short by a repulsive tasting belch. A mucous sweat began exuding from every inch of Wu Niu's body. It was black, viscous, and smelled vile. Wu Niu knew what was about to happen, for that was the very reason he took off his clothes.
-Here it comes.
Wu Niu fell to his hands, puking out putrid black bile into the river. His body dripped with sweat intermixed with viscous toxins.
After puking three more times, Wu Niu fell back on his hind, panting heavily. He smelled abjectly terrible.
In Wu Niu's opinion, the smell of toxins was the worst of all smells because It smelled like the culmination of all forms of decay concentrated into liquid form.
-Luckily, I won't have to puke toxins from here on. So, there is that.
Standing up, Wu Niu hopped into the river and began intensely scrubbing away at his foul-smelling body.
