《Law of Divine Gates》6. Wand Finger art

At the speed that he moved, getting from point, to point was like teleportation to Raiken. Before his movement art ran a complete circulation, he appeared many meters away, his foot touched down weightlessly on a tree branch, at the same time, his senses spread out to cover the ridge.
Images flashed by in his sea of consciousness, ignoring the ones without life force fluctuations, he paid more attention to active flows of spirit. Vividly in his mind, Raiken saw water crashing down from five points into a fast flowing stream.
It was dark now, animals have sought shelter, none could be seen drinking by the lake. Ferocious beast were out, lying in wait, eager for the first of sign a juicy piece of meat. Some special ones made the very elements respond to them.
Before he made it all the way out of his mother's womb, Raiken had his entire future planned for him. When he came to check on his daughter in law's condition, who was a female demon of the Stellar Fish race, Old man Dragon-Eye was surprised.
A high, and mighty sword devil like himself nearly ruined his image with a cry of shock. Sending his Divine Perception into his daughter in law's womb area, he gritted his teeth, refusing to let out the shout which wanted to escape.
Cradled peacefully in the darkness of it's mother's womb, a crimson colored embryo pulsed with demonic lights. Old man Dragon-Eye forgot everything else, he came to check on this grandchild two times a day, neglecting his other grandkids.
He knew he'd already found his successor, his sword art that nobody in the clan was worthy enough to teach them will be passed on to him. This was a pleasant discovery, it took a load off his heart, with the birth of Raiken he no longer needed to fear for the decline of his clan.
From the moment he could walk, Dragon-Eye had him learning spiritual activation, and connection formulas. By the time he was two years old, Raiken could expertly weave flows of spirit, his seals, sigils, glyphs, and formations were all manipulated stably.
His physical body was also compatible with many forms of Divine energy. Talents like these were always locked away in their clans, they were placed under heavy guard, and weren't allowed to move around as they pleased until they grew up.
Baby demons like Raiken who were of bloodlines that have produced numerous devil's couldn't leave their quarters without a detail of household guards shadowing them. Their tongues had to be slick if they wanted to convince the elders that letting them go out every now, and then, was ok.
None of these baby demons can be underestimated, they weren't anything like common demon infants, ones that started manipulating energy in their embryonic phase like Raiken are even more scary.
Letting children with that kind of firepower on the loose can easily cause a disaster. If they were going to be locked away, forced to train hard until adulthood, why not show off the result of all that hardwork once the chance to sneak out presented itself?
Off on his own in a distant world, Raiken was still taking it in that he really was free. It wouldn't be good for the other ancient celestial, and primordial beings who were living on the outside to become aware that a baby Optic Demon was running around unattended.
Potentially, it could spark a war that spanned worlds. When he was transported over here, many layers of physical matter were broken through, something like that would create spatial ripples on a broad scale, Raiken even suspected it was being investigated right now.

"I'll completely seal off my demon powers for now, having the Steel Wyrm bloodline at the forefront will suffice. Alright then let's do that!" Opening his mouth, Raiken spat out a crimson orb, golden characters shifted, and flickered on it, sinister dark moving seals vibrated a subtle music.
Isolating the space with one hand, he pointed at the orb with the the other, thousands of circular seals were pressed together into two oval strips, runes lit up on Raiken's left index finger. "Wand Finger art", the two strips were sent at the orb, where they orbited it in a criss cross fashion.
Not much time passed when all of his demon aura was gone, all that was left was pure metal, and fire energy on his body, his aura changed, like he was a member of the Wyrm species. Relying on the infinity with the metal element it brought him, he could control swords like they were an extension of him.
Actually Raiken liked the idea of blasting his enemies to death with magic over hacking at them with a sword. He felt magical professions were more graceful, and dignified than their warrior counterparts. Things such as sword scriptures, and other warrior skills were tossed to the side by him, including Dragon-Eye's world cutting sword script that was his life's work.
After studying their materialization, and manifestation formulas, Raiken tossed it all to the side, Dragon-Eye's sword scripture was the one that gave him a challenge. The object for a novice when training in it at the beginning is trying to get the spirit body to move in sync with the physical body, this part was as easy as eating cookies to Raiken.
Practitioners would be confident, and at ease when they mastered the first level, but the second level was where you crashed face first into a brick wall. 'To not be cut by a double edged sword', here the practitioner had to find the sword will within the words. It also came with a mental chant, your senses, and timing needed to be on point to get a feel of the true essence.
Raiken was too lazy for physical exercises that refined the spiritual glands like the sword scripture taught. Throwing it to the side, the boy would opt to study Hel magic.
"Can a Steel Drake transform into a humanoid at it's stage?" Raiken asked himself, flipping through the encyclopedia in his brain. "Whatever, I'll just take on the identity of a Wyrm: Steel Drake transformation!".
Silver lights burst out like an exploding moon, they were blocked by the isolation field Raiken set up. Lines of spirit energy moved all at the same speed, they came together at their final destination in Raiken's core. His body broke down, becoming silver particles, when they were compressed back together, a 1 meter long silver draconic reptile with a mouth full of needle sharp fangs stood proudly on the branch.
It's crimson eyes were lively, full of anticipation for the future.
"Now I'm good to go, although Wyrms are rare celestial creatures, they wouldn't cause a world spanning commotion like the appearance of one of my kind would".
The silver lizard spoke in a strange tongue when it opened it's mouth.
"This body is surprisingly comfortable, I can stand on two legs with no problem if I want to. But when I'm on all fours I can feel air circulating in my brain, it seems to be an important function so I'll obediently stand down."
Raiken flexed his muscles, observing his new body, feeling surprisingly pleased with it. "He,he, he, he, wait till those brutes see me, they'll be shocked". He giggled when he pictured their expressions.

"Hmmm, there's finally something of interest to see?". He was interrupted in the middle of his fun by a pull on his consciousness. Looking back at the magnified visuals of the far off surroundings, in one of the images, 20 green skinned creatures sat around a campfire.
Seated closest to the fire, these two grey-green skinned males were the only ones who had hair on their heads in this group. One of them was stirring a pot full of big chunks of meat, spreading different colored powders over it, he chanted.
The fur wrapped around his body was secured at the neck by a round clamp. "Brother you'll be the one to meet with that Raven guy who's running for the Clover family, they should be here in a bit".
He said to the other grey-green skinned male who was laying down smoking buds rolled in leaf papers, without looking up from what he was doing. The color of the male's armor didn't match, as if it were repaired with different metals. Completing his already obvious profession as a warrior, he had a sword which could pass for a cleaver close by his hand.
"Bro, can't you see I'm laid back right now, you're better at this kind of thing than me, can you excuse me on this one"? He complained lazily, with no intention of moving.
"No can do my son, this is an order directly from mother, even I don't understand it." He couldn't come up with a possible reason for it, rather than give himself a headache, he choose to quit thinking about it.
"What? Mother sent word down?" Quickly rolling to his feet, " Hurry tell me what's the meeting place, that bastard Raven might say something bad about our conduct, and get us in trouble." These two brothers were half human Hobgoblins, their family ran a lucrative business, going into dangerous areas which others didn't dare to tread, they took requests to retrieve items in exchange for gold, and silver Shepherds, which was gnome currency.
"Go to Hunchback mountain, when you get back I'll have a hot plate of food ready for you." Still not looking up, he handed his brother an 80 centimeter wide wooden case, the bottle sitting on top of it didn't look like an ordinary thing.
"Bro what is all this crap anyway? All we did was scoop up some water, and collect some dirt, people can truly get paid for that?" Holding the items carefully, he frowned, asking his brother, the person he came to whenever something confused him.
"You're complaining about easy money? Look how you were laying on your back puffing away contentedly a moment ago." Lightly scolding his brother, the fur wrapped Hobgoblin continued to turn his wrist, stirring the pot. "Our mother has a good impression of that Clover family's mistress, let's not keep her people waiting."
Seeing his brother not trying to figure it out, the sword toting brother didn't keep thinking about it either. Before getting on his way he chose the 10 best fighters among the goblins, these ten had earned themselves a set of iron plated clothes to wear when they went into battle, the other goblins also listened to their orders.
Their mother refused to take out funds for mounting the unit because their mounts always ended up dying, the costs for keeping them mobile was becoming too expensive. Thus the poor brothers had to march with their men to get where they needed to go, at least for the the things she cared about their mother would have some sort of transportation ready to drop them off, and pick them up.
Thirty minutes later the little brother arrived at hunchedback mountain with his ten warriors behind him. Swinging on his side, he sheathed his sword cleaver. Hands near the hilt of their weapons they surveyed their surroundings.
"What're your scary assess being so serious for? This is only a simple, peaceful exchange." A human with coiled, upward rising hair walked towards them, he wore a green fur cape around his shoulders, a clover was embroidered on his white shirt.
Coming here today, the humans were armed with blue-wood bows, and short-swords. They worked for a family of spirit herb farmers who had the favor of a gnome merchant clan, no intelligent races in these mountains dared to kill anyone who had the Clover family's insignia on them.
Looking at the coiled hair man and his people with their haughty attitudes, the younger brother and his men wanted to cut them down. The humans quickly quit fooling around when they felt their killing intent.
"Alright, alright, let's put the unnecessary stuff to the left, do you have the goods?"
"We do. When will we see the finished product?" Apparently the younger brother wasn't so irresponsible that he'd forget to ask this important question. His mother wouldn't let him off if he started a massacre here.
"A month at most. I guarantee you, you'll come in your pants from the pleasure when you train after consuming it." Drool leaked out the corner of Raven's mouth, shaking his head, he snapped himself out of it. "Alright guys, gotta go, until we meet again. I'll be going into closed door training, when the project is finished, my people will experience a whole new era of spirituality. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,".
Joy could be heard in the human's laughter, the younger brother couldn't help being swept up in the excitement too, seeing as he would benefit as well if the humans succeeded at whatever this was.
What he was carrying today seemed to be important, his mother must've had a large stake in it considering the many exchanges between them.
Giving the humans a nod, the half-goblin disappeared into the night with his team. Never knowing their was an eye in the sky looking down on them.
"What language were they speaking? I'll just go snatch that human up. I heard they were very intelligent."
Their mission accomplished, Raven and his party of 10 men rushed back to their village. Raiken was surprised to see the path they took paralleled the one the big brutes were on. "Could they also be people from grey wolf village?" He couldn't help but wonder.
Without anyone noticing, Raiken appeared above their heads in his Steel Drake form, it seemed the humans felt something inside of them respond when Raven spoke his earlier words.
"Big brother Raven, was what you said to that Hobgoblin true?" This fellows eyes sparkled with hope, they practically shined with the tales of heroes, waving swords, and killing powerful opponents.
"Of course, the Clover family's reputation relies on this, the only option is to succeed." He looked at them all seriously. "Anyone who has the talent will have a chance to change their fates, they could even go down in history if they grow strong enough."
These were the kinds of conversations that sent thousands of men charging hopefully into the great unknown. Women like the mistress of the Clover family, and the lady who ran a retrieval service using her two son's power, were both the ambition sorts who couldn't accept anyone telling them what to do.
The patriarch of the Clover family rarely had time to attend to it's matters, he was always busy with the completion of his old project. Everything ended up falling all on his wife, and daughters, all patriarch Four-Leaf did was send out bottles with different colors of liquids with an explanation of it's effects, the price, and who it would be sold to was up to the women.
Business was booming, the ladies got to go shopping when they wanted, so they didn't complain too much. Daughters of the Clover family didn't fear being snatched away by some powerful warrior who coveted their beauty, the families' trademark heartblood potion was valued by many warriors for it's astonishing healing properties.
Raven himself was a warrior that was close to touching the door leading to the world of spirit refinement thanks to them. Men, women, as well as children looked up to him, he had sex with the finest, juiciest ladies. At the village he had his own house, maids cooked for him, they also washed his clothes.
A nod from the Clover family propelled him to a position of high status. In return, his loyalty to them wasn't feigned, he was happy to be able to report the good news to his mistress.
"Alright gentlemen, it's getting late, let's pick up the pace to prevent a situation where we run into something dangerous." Using their terribly formulated foot work techniques, the humans sped up.
"Man you guys sure are slow, even a dog back on Pyrugonoh is faster than you." Raiken's silvery body swooped down, reaching out, his clawed foot latched on the back of Raven's neck like a shackle.
"Aieeee", Raven shrieked in terror, having his neck grabbed by a sharp icy claw. Then everything blurred, the wind pounded his face as a feeling of weightlessness came over his body.
"Shit! What was that?!"
"Someone call my mommy"!
"A silver lizard is flying away with Big brother Raven in it's clutches, look at how helpless he is! If we do something that'll catch it's attention, maybe it'll change it's target to us!"
"Ptua" One of the humans spat, "Damn pussy! What, are we supposed to just leave him to die? Without him, do you think the Clover family gives a damn about us?"
Chaos erupted among the remaining nine humans, shocked by this occurrence. With how fast it moved the lizard could've created a slaughter in their midst if it wanted to. Witnessing the strongest among them getting his neck squeezed like a chicken, more than two or three of them were thinking about how to preserve their own lives.
Dangling with the silver lizard's claw gripping his neck, Raven screamed even harder when he saw how far away the ground was. Falling from this height would be beyond painful, it could cause him injuries that will leave him bedridden for weeks.
Tuning out the man's screams, Raiken looked right into his eyes. Once a connection was established, the man grew silent, he had a vacant look in his eyes. Both his arms, and legs hung loosely at his side, "This guy sure can scream, will it help if I really wanted to crush him?"
Holding the back of the human's neck in the air, a pair of crimson eyes appeared in the man's sea of consciousness when Raiken looked at him. The indistinct form of a bird was all he had in his mind, this bird was, in truth, Raven's spirit form, a beam of crimson light shot out of the eyes looking down at the blurry figure.
"Hmmm. Clover family, Smelting Palm clan, Grey Wolf family, Bloodhound clan, Bull Master clan, Rednose Pitbull clan, gnome language, Grey Wolf language, language of the Cloud Doves..........", to find out whatever he wanted to know, Raiken simply had to focus his will, Raven's consciousness could hold no secret from him if he wanted it revealed.
Mental energy divided itself under his superb application, using his mental power to scan the intent resonates behind a word, he could decipher their meanings. Intuition played a large part in the process, it'll still take him a few days to fully master the three languages he'd gotten from Raven's brain.
Obtaining the language of the widely influential gnome race, a pleased look was on Raiken's draconic face. The way he looked at the human bacame better. "Today is your lucky day human, you were of help to me, in exchange for that help, I'll impart to you: an Astral refinement breathing technique!"
Raiken read before that humans were highly compatible with Astral, and demonic energies, he gave away such a high level technique like he was handing a beggar a few coppers. When he tapped the human's forehead, his eyes snapped back into focus.
Pale blue lights shot out of his eyes, Raven's inner body has never been this lively. Having Raiken control his body to assist it in circulating spiritual forces was the same as suddenly becoming a master at spirit refinement. The spirit glands in his lungs became solid, from now on, the human can be considered to have placed one foot onto a bigger stage.
Eyes filled with dread, the humans looked up at the silver lizard. Not letting him leave their sight for a moment, but they still weren't able to see how the little lizard had gotten to the ground. Next thing they knew, it was standing with Raven laying on his back in front of it.
It's crimson eyes stared at them like it was looking at paper soldiers. "You humans on this world are pathetic, but to me that's a good thing, it means we could do business. You can also pass it around to your people. Tell them come take a look, and discuss."
Raiken thought it'd be interesting to see a few humans going crazy, with new powers in their hands, old dreams no longer seemed impossible, old scores which should've been settled long ago were handled so easily it shocked them. The route to the Divine paths was finally here!
He spoke to the humans in the gnome tongue, but their expressions said they didn't have a clue what he was talking about. "Are you guys deaf? Can you hear what I'm saying?"
Annoyed by their dumb looks, Raiken snapped at them. Jumping back in fear at the outburst, the little lizard that didn't even reach a meter high intimidated the humans, discussing among themselves for a moment they shoved out one of their fellows.
"Great serpent, this is our offering, we hope that it satisfies you." Standing before Raiken as if there was a prayer statue there instead, a human with a nice looking Mohawk kept his head bowed.
"Ho, ho, ho, sacrificing the few to save the many, too bad I wouldn't accept this kind of offering. He hasn't even begun his refinement, what a crappy offering".
Raiken only looked once to tell his condition, unless they were very powerful, he didn't plan on tasting human anytime soon. His crimson eyes locked back onto Mohawk man.
Returning Raiken's indifferent look with a troubled one the man rubbed his hands together. "Then is there anything else we can do for you great serpent?" Talking to a lizard didn't seem out of place at all to the humans, seeing as there were stranger things inside the forest, like trees with mouths, and faces, what was a talking lizard?
"You know how to cook food?" His stomach made it's demands known, right now he was using his energy to temporarily satisfy it.
"A little, dabbling on the seasonings sure do help a lot." Remaining swift with his answers, Mohawk man bowed after every sentence, Raiken was starting to like him.
"Your leader will be a while, I'm helping him learn how to better use his energy. If you catch my eye, or your luck is good, you may also receive heaven changing fortune from this lord".
Waving a claw over the softly laying man, a blue dome covered his body, "Anything that dares to touch it will be blasted to death, come, join me on a hunt in the darkness."
Raiken didn't wait for an answer, waving his claw again, they were swept up by a wind current, disappearing from view in a flash. Cupped in the hands of the wind, the humans opened their mouths to cry in shock but ended getting them full of air instead.
Raiken laughed at the look on their faces, taking the humans for a ride, they went looking for something to cook.
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
Star, and moonlight shined down on a bowl shaped valley, some sides were all rock, others had grasses, and different kinds of tall growing vegetation. Prowling through one of the more grassy areas, a land bird reaching over two meters tall had eyes that look so ferocious that other creatures wouldn't be able to maintain eye contact.
It had the vicious head of a pterodactyl, that sharp beak on it's face made one's skin prickly, imagining it leaving a gaping hole on your body.
Stretching out it's senses, the beast proceeded slowly, carefully watching everything. It chirped in annoyance when the first thing it saw was a drill horn rhino, it might also sustain heavy injuries in exchange for trying to kill it.
Disregarding the rhino, the bird kept it moving, the drill horned rhino continued to lay down without a care as it moved on, nothing can make it through the rhino's fortress like defense, anything that tried to eat one might just get a taste of it's horn for their trouble.
Going from place, to place, yet not finding any tasty looking morsels, made the bird even more agitated. It started kicking things with it's powerful legs, raising the sound of loud booms, and crashes in the air.
Pieces of rock flew off like a shot gun blast, boulders shattered as it's leg kicked, the leg was all over the place, crushing anything big enough for things to make a home out of it.
When it kicked towards a tree, so fast it's leg looked like a bar of light, a fierce wind wrapped around the talon. Full of lethal force, the leg swept across, wood chips were blown off of the tree before it even arrived, *Ting*.
Sensing something different about the contact this time, the bird's head leaned to the side curiously. It's eye peered into the billowing saw dust sharply, seeing something shiny flash inside.
Smoke curled around a sword point poking out of the dust cloud, after receiving the terrifying impact in the bird's kick, it hadn't shook at all. The dust cloud parted, revealing a furclad racoon with it's sword held steadily in front of it.
Behind it, a smoothly shaved hole was cut into the tree, the danger it felt from the kick forced it to come out, otherwise it would've been smashed together with the tree. No other choice was left but to personally appear, "Gather the cubs love, there's a Blast Foot out here. I can't speak their language, so I'll have to let my blade do the talking."
Shouting back into the hole, the racoon lowered the position of his sword. That black strip of fur across his eyes gave him the look of a bandit. Balancing on the tips of his clawed feet, it's hips dipped lower, leaning backwards.
Showing that it wasn't just some common creature, the 1.6 meter tall racoon gazed at the Blast Foot seriously, dead in the eyes. Sucking a deep breath into it's mouth, a blue light enveloped the racoon's body as it began circulating it's spiritual power.
"A Blast Foot? That's what's out there raising a ruckus, scaring my cubs? Bring back it's head, and it's meat, I'll be able to produce better quality milk if I dined on it's flesh." Then a feminine voice was smoothly transmitted outside of the hole.
"My love, I don't think you've ever seen one of these guys in action. They aren't called blast foot for nothing. Those kicks from earlier don't scratch the surface of what it could do. Look at it, it isn't even worried, probably thinking that now that it has us cornered there's no need to rush."
Indeed, the Blast Foot looked quite leisurely, cleaning it's feathers with it's lance like beak, it looked at them like they were already in it's stomach, they wouldn't be able to escape it now that it was in range.
"Whatever, the cubs are secured tightly to my back, so I guess I'm going ahead. That bird is lucky I'm a mother now, before, I would've cut it down instantly! Look at you Valkyu, why haven't you killed it yet?! Do you have to make all those fancy looking movements just to kill something for your family to eat?!"
"Shut it girl, we're relocating the nest, this ones compromised, with all the commotion this thing made over here, we're sure to have other visitors pretty soon, hungry just like this fellow."
Claws could be heard clicking across a hard surface, the ring of a sword being drawn came next, looking up the Blast Foot saw a figure fly out in a spray of saw dust on the opposite side of the tree.
Turning into a streak, the shadow's body flashed a few times, in seconds it was completely gone, "You'll have to track us when you're done here Valkyu, even if you can't beat it, you must make sure that it knows the meaning of pain! Our cubs would be dead if you didn't turn aside that earlier blow."
Again the feminine voice was heard, but she was not seen, the racoon, poised, holding it's sword at a lower point, clearly heard her, yet he didn't respond. He stared at the Blast Foot, waiting for the slightest twitch of it's body, if he could get a good shot in early, he'll be able to return to his family's side sooner.
About ready to eat itself, the Blast Foot didn't bother making dramatic preparations, stomping it's foot harshly, a half meter deep print was left on the ground, only a ring of air was left where it originally stood.
"Fast! Dammit, why did it have to be our home that had someone in it when the thing comes knocking?" Valkyu cursed, readjusting his stance to one that was four directional. None of the bird's kicks can be allowed to land, he needed to inflict a heavy injury on it quickly, otherwise all of his energy will be wasted on defense.
Smashing through the air, a sharp whistle alerted him a second before the Blast Foot's heel came down, distorted by the speed that it moved. Kicking out with one leg, the Blast Foot kept tension on the other, that leg built up energy, when it was satisfied with the amount of stored energy, the Blast Foot will send out a deadly kick.
An explosion went off in the Racoon's body when it released the breath it was holding in, leaving copies of his sword's image behind as it trailed upwards, the Racoon howled, flicking his shoulders, flexing his forearms, and again flicking his wrist, the sword made a loop around the Blast Foot's leg.
Sucking away all of the force from the kick, the looping sword resembled a silver half cone, the Racoon circulated it's innate technique, retreating 10 meters back in a blur of steps, the sword trembled in his hand, the force stolen from the Blast Foot's kick crying out for release.
Blocking this second even more powerful kick left him panting. Across from him, the Blast Foot only looked annoyed that he hadn't succumbed to the blow, there wasn't any sign that it's prior outbursts had taken a lot of it.
This time thin threds of red energy spiraled around it's leg when it stomped it's supporting talon, the Blast Foot wanted to see how this rodent will block it's crushing kick now. For it's prey to be standing before it unscathed, the bird felt it's dignity as an apex predator being challenged.
"Dammit, do you really have to go all out like this is the final battle or something?!" The Racoon jumped in fright seeing the Blast Foot getting serious, with nothing left to hold back, he got into a sword stance his mate picked up from somewhere. Seconds after the technique was activated, his body became a vague outline, shifting like a smoky, or misty substance.
In the midst of charging towards the racoon, both of the bird's talons had red lights around them, bringing a stinging wind with it, it's leg wheeled around, making the racoon's clothes flap when it appeared before his stomach, and chest.
Before the kick even arrived, Valkyu was hurt by the force being pushed ahead of it, trying to keep the vomit in his stomach from rising up, he frantically shifted sideways, a bit of the kick's strength smashed into the side of his body, jolting him furiously.
Borrowing the force from that, his body shot towards it's other leg, as he was flying pass, the racoon slashed out viciously with it's sword. As he glided low above the ground, the blade looked like a silver light in his hand. Not worried at all, the Blast Foot kicked out to meet the blow, but was off by a little because this was the leg that it stomped with and gathered energy, it had sunk in the ground lower than it's other foot.
Nose bleeding as the wind smashed into it's face, the racoon drew blood at the same time as it flew by, leaving a fountain of red splashing behind it. Hooting in rage, the Blast Foot's ferocious eyes tracked the racoon as it flew towards a clump of tall grasses, leaping into the air, the bird used a mysterious method to send it's body crash down towards the sword wielding racoon, coming down at it fast wanting to stomp it into a meat patty.
Looking up out the corner of it's eye at this, the racoon tapped it's sword deftly against the ground, a deep hole was pounded into the ground an instant later, sharp pieces of rock sliced the racoon's face, his body curved around the kick, rolling across the ground when the impact struck it's body.
Skipping like a stone thrown in the water, the racoon took control of the roll to continue bouncing towards the clump of grass.
"Ho, ho, ho, that racoon is an excellent escape artist, one blow from the bird is enough to put it out of it's misery, but the racoon always kept death a hairsbreadth away. From beginning till end, it made sure that the momentum in the battle didn't stray too far from it, the bird's arrogance also made it easy for the raccoon to take advantage of it."
Standing in the sky on rippling air as if it was a solid surface, Raiken was wrapped around the Mohawk man's neck like a silver chain, the humans were gaping at the intense battle which just took place.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?
