《Law of Divine Gates》Demon Eye

Tyjuku was a Wonderland to those on the outside, filled with mountains, and trees obscuring the heavens. There were hot-spots which were flooded with elemental energies, training in places such as these boosted your refinement of the spiritual way, putting one years ahead of others the longer they stayed there. This abundance of energy can nurture a host of magical objects, if you could keep it in your hands without being killed, and having it snatched away from you by a more stronger, covetous being, one can consider themselves an established power.
Every breath which the baby demon took drew in energy from many kilometers away. Right now the meadow was the same as a place situated near an earth spirit vein. As long as a person had the slightest aptitude for spirituality they could advance at a satisfactory pace if they trained somewhere that had one. A formless pressure shot up into the sky, this pressure pushed all the spirit energy gathered by the boy together. It was at this moment that his eyes opened, they were bright, and crimson, like two pools of fresh blood.
Earlier he'd acted rashly, his eagerness is understandable though, because without an eye of origin, an Optic Demon is incomplete. Lacking that essential part of themselves, they can hardly be called Optic Demons. Raiken's grandpa Dragon-Eye, the current head of the Demon Eye clan, was the only demon to have attained Devil-Hood in a 100,000 years. And this was because the sword scripture he created can cleave into the primordial. The other Optic Demons would never reach the devil stage, they needed their [Eye of Origin] to be able to peer into the spirit realm. Dragon-Eye can be considered a once in a billion years talent, although he lacked the birthright of an [Eye of Origin], still he cleaved his way into Devil-Hood.
Raiken even risked frying his brain in his impatience to inscribe the [Eye of Origin], planet Pyruganoh where he was from was said to have been sealed off by the gods in heaven as a punishment of the past Optic Devils from going across the Universe and snatching the [Eyes of Origin] of other divine race's. Creatures that had anything unique about them weren't safe around an Optic Demon, they had the ability to extract life force directly from your spirit body, this family of power hungry demons also went around extracting Bloodlines, and spirit glands from whomever aroused their curiosity.
Many Optic Demons perished trying to forcefully open their celestial eye back on Pyruganoh. Only one of them was fortunate enough to pull it off, but after going into seclusion to stabilize his condition he mysteriously disappeared, he was able to activate his [Eye of Origin] so no one believed a mishap had befallen him. Most likely the selfish bastard found a way off of this shitty planet, and was afraid informing his clan members would ruin his chances of escaping. Those lunatics wouldn't be able to remain calm if they discovered it, keeping such unstable elements away will diminish the possibility of failure.
Because old man Dragon-eye cut through the barrier to Devil-Hood everyone assuredly thought he'd be able to cut through space with that amazing sword scripture he created. As the first Optic Devil in a 100,000 years, people had high expectations of him, but the current Demon Eye clan were less informed than their predecessors, the planet Pyruganoh itself was created using materials which contained the power of origin, many fallen primordial beings were imprisoned there. Without his [Eye of Origin] to look for a weaker point to breakthrough, even Dragon-Eye would be helpless and can only remain trapped like a rat.

Looking at it from his inexperience, Raiken was clueless as to how the red orb had the ability to slip out. Ages had gone past with the orbs lying dormant, with no reaction, yet the moment he touches one it immediately springs to life. Only members from the main branch had the rights be to anywhere in the vicinity of where the ancestral items were kept. Everything in there was treated as a sacred object the direct Bloodline members wouldn't dare to taint with their filthy hands, until they awakened their celestial eye, the Optic Demons felt unworthy of handling them.
Only an immature brat like Raiken who lacked the wisdom to understand the power the ancient Demon Eye clan played around with would dare to mess around with the things in the ancestral hall recklessly. Still, no one would think that his thoughtless actions could lead to him being transported outside of the prison formation. His grandpa will be worried to death until he got confirmation about his wellbeing. He felt great being in a place like this with pure forms of positive spiritual energies, but he didn't forget he had to find some way to get in contact with his clan to let them know that he was fine, and in better shape than he could have ever be in back home.
The blue orb he was inside of dissipated, then the energy above his head condensed into a pillar of light, entering the crimson eye rune on his forehead, and the Steel Wyrm rune, as well as a mysterious pitch black Phoenix rune on his spinal colum. Silver, and gold light erupted on his back, in his core behind the navel region, two eggs had long ago appeared, one gold, while the other was silver. Scanning them with his [Eye of Origin] Raiken understood he had to nurture the eggs with his soul force if wanted these two powers to mature.
A comfortable looking pair of black slippers reaching up to his ankles, Raiken's soles lightly touch the ground. His black robe which obviously wasn't made of common materials had crimson eyes embroidered on the front and back of the hem. Thick vibrant hair fell around his body like a curtain, without having to focus his senses, everything around the meadow was in the range of his awareness. When he saw the newly born demon beasts on the other side of the trees through his celestial eye, it greatly surprised him.
These animals were actually able to seize good fortune being near the place where he trained. Four of them stood out from the other couple dozen or so, they've secured themselves an above average Bloodline which should be able to help them develop an arsenal of impressive abilities. The being curled up inside a 20 centimeter long silk cocoon was even able to arouse his interest a little. Those creatures had his demonic essence in their bodies, if he ordered them to fight to the death against someone they'd obey it without flinching.
With his demonic essence they could evolve, achieving heights which they were heretofore unable to possibly fathom, why wouldn't his commands be treated like the words of a god by them? Though he took notice, the baby demon had no intentions of issuing commands to them. Once these fellows entered the true demon level they'd be able to raise others of their kind up, depending on their fortunes, some of them might even form demon clans. At that point he may be able to find uses for them.
Strange lights were blinking in his eyes, and when he turned his gaze towards the sky, that blood beak crow's body quivered, not daring to remain up in the sky while Raiken was down below, it came down landing near his feet bowing it's head in supplication. Raiken looked at the crow in surprise, this little guy already knew how to curry favor with him. He couldn't help but grin at the prudent crow, rewarding it with a few pats on the head, it even had the mind to cut it's eyes away shyly when Raiken sent it looks of approval.

This crow is quite amusing, Raiken thought laughing at the crow's expressions, "he, he, he, he, Mr . crow, although you might not be as strong as your four brother's, and sisters, you're smarter, go out and fight for fortune, you're not just a dumb animal any more, don't let the heavens place it's restrictions on you". Raiken wanted to see how far this crow with a surprising wit can go, he was interested in all of these little demons futures. Since it seemed they had fate with him, he'll send them all off in different directions, to avoid them killing each other, that way they could battle for fortune elsewhere without getting tangled up with each other.
After letting out another dutiful caw, the crow flapped strongly, quickly rising above the treeline. An expression on his face like a parent sending their child away from the nest to go face the wide world, Raiken watched the crow fly high up. For a beast who had only just awakened, the crow's intelligence was impressive. This place he'd found himself in was a favorable environment for promoting spirituality, that crow had his demonic essence as well, there were no beasts except the ones present in this meadow today who had a starting point as high as theirs. One couldn't help but lament when you thought about all this good fortune going to some mere animals.
Treading on the path of spirituality, everyone knew about that joyous occasion called "good fortune", anyone who has the luck to lay claim to it can become an anointed son of heaven if they laid low and trained for 10 or so years. Possibly even just 5 years for the geniuses, once one of these monsters get blessed with good fortune it'll be over for everyone.
Pernoaken thought the powerful being they were tracking may possibly need some kind of assistance, he came falling from the sky like that, from where had he fell? Could it have been because of an epic battle between two pinnacle beings? Whatever the case, if he could show this being his usefulness, then perhaps he could put his hands on some good fortune. Unable to contain himself, he rushed towards the meadow, he moved with a stride as if nothing could hurt him. This was the assurance of a warrior who'd cut down many terrifying lifeforms.
Unfortunately this time his arrogance came back to gnaw on his ass, before he could step one foot closer to the meadow, a terrifying aura bombarded his consciousness. Trying to resist losing consciousness, he only had time enough to let out one roar before he crashed down heavily, causing the ground to tremble with his tremendous body. Seeing such a huge body fall down like that was an interesting sight. Something you really didn't get to see everyday.
The two orc scouts didn't find it amusing at all, instead they were shaken, now totally convinced something scary was lurking inside the meadow. Both of them were looking at Pernoaken's fallen body in disbelief. "Y-y-y-ya think he's dead"?
One of them asked, he didn't see any movement coming from the Trollsbane's big body. This kind of stillness was unnatural, leading him think of the worst possible outcome.
"Impossible, how could the Honorable Trollsbane be dealt with so easily, he probably just lost consciousness"!
The other scout's faith in Pernoaken couldn't be shaken so easily, despite the sight of his face kissing the ground. "Let's go see if we can bring him back around". He started to carefully go down the slope after saying this, his partner hesitated briefly before he too started to descend the slope. When they made it to the bottom, they approached Pernoaken's body cautiously, sending fearful glances towards the meadow. Because of the terror in their hearts, they kept feeling like something was about to leap out at them.
Bracing themselves for an attack, step by step they made it closer, sweat dripped off the tips of their noses, and tense muscles, they eyed every screen of undergrowth as if it was concealing a terrifying foe. Their big bare feet moved forward timidly, when they finally got close to Pernoaken's motionless body without something bad happening to them, their expressions eased a little. The one who'd suggested they climb down went to check on him, while the other scout continued to vigilantly sweep their surroundings.
Training good scouts was another crucial aspect of war Merken Nar Moon Axe didn't dare to neglect, there were a few times he'd nearly had his horde annihilated because of the lack of it. After his elite scouts served a few good years on the battlefield, he sent them back home as instructors to spend the rest of their lives in retirement, using this method he didn't have to fear being suddenly caught unaware, and having the initiative brutally snatched away from him.
Facing a 100 opponents at their level, they wouldn't be afraid, but they were confronted with some kind of terrifying entity, without even having to show themselves they'd knocked Pernoaken unconscious, the scouts knew Pernoaken's strength, a casual swing of his sword could kill hundreds of people. He was Lord Merken the second's right hand man, someone the leader of their tribe looked at as an equal. Yet he still ended up in this sorry state immediately when he got close to this meadow.
"Leader, leader, you got to wake up, your two subordinates were worried sick when you fell down!" The orc scout shook Pernoaken's shoulder, when he didn't see a response, he started shouting in his ear. Even then there was no movement whatsoever, the huge orc warrior laid there like a corpse. Sitting back on his heels, the orc scout, Wanka, looked at Pernoaken's body in a daze, he wasn't dead, but it didn't look like he'd be getting back up anytime soon. He hadn't reacted to any of the things they did to rouse him, the scout who stood guard over them had a lost expression on his brutish face, Dolbie was his name, he wished his chief was here to settle the situation, shielding them from danger with his broad back.
*Rumble, rumble, rumble*
As they were in the middle of nursing heavy hearts, the ground started shaking beneath their feet. They looked around in panic, but all they saw was an empty flower field. Flocks of beautifully colored birds burst out of the trees, scattering in various directions when they reached the sky. Even with him feeling like a giant hand was grasping his heart, Dolbie hadn't dropped his guard, yet he still failed to find the cause of this abrupt commotion. Denying them a moments respite, one thing followed another, their hearts didn't even get a chance to settle down.
"Man, I've never been this hungry in my life, inscribing those two runes ate up all my energy. Hopefully the food here is better than the crap I was forced to eat back home."
Out of nowhere a child's voice can be heard, it seemed to be speaking directly inside your head. The air was also effected when the childish voice started speaking, becoming thicker, making it hard for the scouts to breath. Falling to their knees, they clutched their throats, eyes bulging, they could feel the pressure squeezing down on their organs. Then they started to make gurgling noises, seeming as if they were reaching the limits of their endurance.
As quick as is came and shook the scene, the disturbance faded away like someone flipping a switch. Two crimson lights flashed in a space between the trees, ripples distorted the air, forming half circles of solid visible crystal air, a child in a black robe with red magical seals flashing across it floated forward in the middle of that supernatural phenomenon. He held an elegant hand against his belly with a pained expression on his feet, the hunger gnawing at his stomach made his stomach growl, and the ground trembled, this terrible hunger made him lose control of his aura for a second.
Not too long ago he'd sent all of the animals that had taken his demonic essence into their bodies off to begin their journey. 3 of the four strongest in the bunch he paid particular attention to, which were a bear with a special fire element that reminded him of a volcano, and lead to him naming it the Volcanic Bear, a black cobra with a golden hood, and finally a pink, and red thorny flower, were the only ones in a condition to set off. They were really smart, the minute they laid eyes on Raiken, they didn't dare to be slow in lowering themselves to the ground.
Behaving as if they were in the presence of Divinity, the beasts flattened themselves like they were trying paste themselves to the ground. From what Raiken could see the creature in the silver cocoon was in a deep state of hibernation, it didn't seem like it'll be waking anytime soon. Among those three demon beasts, the flower seemed the most sinister, red lines looking like veins and blood vessels threaded through the thorns on it's body, each line had it's own independent route, none of them intersected.
From this Raiken can tell the flower would definitely go on a lot of killing sprees, it was a trait that was apart of it, this was the quickest way for it to grow as well. The plant was a female, there was a strange pollen inside of it that needed to be nurtured with blood essence. After each of his observations, Raiken noted every part of the flower seemed to be made for killing. All of these together identified it as a creature that is extremely yin in nature, there was something special about each one of these 3 beasts, Raiken felt anticipation thinking about how strong they could become in the future.
Following a few words from Raiken, a parade of different kinds of beast shook the meadow, causing thousands of leaves to fall as they sprinted towards an uncertain future. He'd casted a concealment spell over them, to prevent them from being killed for their demonic essence by stronger monsters with keen enough senses to detect it. Finding someplace suitable for them to train at was the first important step they had to take, he wanted them to succeed at that first step, them getting killed off before they at least reached the true demon level would anger him to death.
Only the silver cocoon on the underside of a large tree branch was still in the meadow, he cast concealment magic over it, this fellow can really sleep, everyone else is gone, yet you're still here. Raiken gave the lazy demon in the silver cocoon a look of displeasure, 'won't even wake up to greet your master? Fine, don't call me when you're about to be eaten then.' Lights whirled in his crimson eyes, Raiken peered deeper into the situation regarding the creature inside the cocoon.
Apparently the little creature was in the middle of a complete body reconstruction, it must've gathered enough power when all the energies were pulled towards him while he was training to complete it. Both it's body, and mind will be remade, this creature is very lucky, if there wasn't enough energy to sustain it's evolution, the creature might have died before it could complete it's transformation. Raiken was no longer annoyed with the creature after taking a closer look, he checked to make sure everything was going fine before he took his leave.
On his way out, he suddenly felt like a beast was clawing at the inside of his stomach. With his [Eye of Origin] opened up he'll be able to interact more intimately with spiritual energies, but at the same time his body will have harsher demands for energy. Which led to the current scene, his belly rumbled, giving him an empty feeling, as if the hunger would turn around to swallow him if he did nothing to appease it.
In the instant that he'd regained consciousness, Raiken could sense the life forces of the orc trio, there was no way they could hide from his eye. Since these guys were native to this place, they should know where he could find some delicious food to eat. Retracing the steps he took to get inside the meadow, he appeared outside of it, half circles of crystal air orbiting his body. Seeing the orcs with his physical eyes, Raiken inspected their towering figures, which were all stretched out on a bed of colorful flowers.
Then his eyes caught sight of the magical armor on the most brutish looking one of them all. He wasn't uneasy in the least approaching the creatures huge body, gaze burning with interest as it slid across the symbols engraved on the armor. "Hmmm, this is low grade magical armor, hasn't crossed into the spirit grade, but in the ranks of low grade magical items it's definitely a work of art". Very good, he thought, this guy can have magical armor, then he knew where Raiken could find something to eat for sure.
Then his demonically beautiful face frowned in displeasure for the second time, these lazy bums want to sleep too? Are all the creatures on this planet so lazy, they barely have energy in their bodies as it is, they should be using this time to train diligently instead of laying down, considering how weak they were. The big one had innate vigor in his body, but Raiken saw he couldn't use it with any type of skill, the energy was scattered over his body, when it all should be gathered in one place.
Suddenly a crimson eye rune lit up on Raiken's forehead, shooting a beam of light in between the big orc's brow area. In a flash he found the area of memories in the creatures mind, searching for languages, he didn't bother looking at anything else. Common orc tongue, High orc tongue, it seemed these were the two languages this creature called Pernoaken Nar Trollsbane spoke. He was looking at a memory of a place, these warriors only had good alcohol where they lived, food wasn't made to be good, they barely even bothered cooking the meat sometimes.
He saw humans in the the orc's mind as well, these creatures were briefly spoken of as race that could train in demonic arts, becoming a full-fledged higher demon wasn't impossible for the talented ones, they made deals with demons for power, on thousands of worlds, there was a human somewhere who knew how to get in contact with demons. All of this was mentioned in a record he'd looked through back at the clan library. But it seemed the humans here didn't have anyone who even knew about demons.
They were being bossed around, living as the underlings of other people, this was different from what he read about, those humans in the record were the ones causing havoc on a thousand worlds, spreading tyranny, subjugating races they'd decided were a insult to their god, or were useful but wouldn't serve them willingly. Chaos followed the human race wherever they went, in many places they were reviled, and refused entry.
Raiken didn't care about the useless crap, he'd read the humans were masters at cooking food, this was the only information he was worried with right now, everything else could wait. Restraining his aura caused the half circles of air to slowly dissappear, he flicked his finger three times, sending small balls of blue light into the orc's bodies. "That should help calm their restless spirits", Raiken waited impatiently for the orcs to regain consciousness.

To Play With Magic
My name is Alexis Everette. I'm the only daughter of Earth's greatest hero. My dad is a normal man, but he's still my greatest hero. While he may be normal, I can bend the elements to my whim and have power over space and time. Of course, that's who I am at the end of the story. There's a lot I have to go through to get there. And even with all the power I gain... The world ends on a Tuesday. ... This is currently a completed story arc, though it's not the end. New updates are starting March 28, 2022. Actively updating. Mostly on Mondays/Thursdays. WARNING: FLAWED MC and not great early writing. Edits are on the list. ... *LitRPG-Isekai start with a return to Earth to stop the System apocalypse goal. Old synopsis "Hi, my name is Alexis," I say into the camera, as I attempt to calm my nerves."And I'm Sab," I hear my best friend add from beside me. It's good to have her there, it's been far too long."I'm trying to focus," I tell Sab as I look into the camera. Will anyone even watch this?"What, just cause I didn't get sent to another world, where magic and dragons are real, I don't get to be a part of this?" she questions me. I can hear the hurt in her voice. I wish she'd been there. Things might have been... different. I can't believe I thought it was a game. If it had been, she'd have been the better choice."I said I was sorry. It's not like I knew I was going to be kidnapped by the system," I lamely apologize. She deserves more, but this is important."Coming soon, to an earth near you," she might be making light, but I can hear the fear in her voice."It's not funny Sab. It really is coming," I can't help but reply to her words, even though I know she didn't mean it."Come on Lexi, it's a little funny." she tries while chuckling nervously."Sigh. Look, can we just get back to telling them?" I ask, pointing at the laptop."Sure, but first you should show them some magic," Sab declares while waving her arms around."I told you. It's not that simple. I only showed you because you could tell it wasn't fake. They'd just think it was special effects," or come after me to try to lock me in a basement."Yeah, well they're not going to believe you anyway. It sounds pretty crazy, even to me. And I've seen what you can do," she proclaims. I didn't think it was that special, but she was super impressed by my magical abilities."Maybe, but I have to try. We don't have much time," I state as I stop the recording, before starting a new one."Hello, my name is Alexis," I pronounce, projecting as much confidence as I can at the little camera."Remember, the world ends on a Tuesday."
