Constant praises were thrown towards the grand mage in the middle of the open stage. He gave them something more relieving than watching an entertaining show, he showed them closure. They all reminisced about different kinds of things but the grand mage still managed to show them all.

"Everyone has now seen a glimpse of my abilities but that's enough showing off right now. This time I won't do something as amazing as that but instead to entertain. Come here, child."

The grand mage beckoned the mysterious teenager to come closer, with the prying eyes of the audience on him, he had no other choice but to comply.

As the mysterious teenager stood in front of the grand mage, the grand mage conjured an orb of mana on his palm. When Andrei saw this orb of mana he couldn't help but get a little on edge. This was pure power that someone of a higher skill bestows upon those weaker than him.

"I'm giving you a choice, you can either take in this mana to further your abilities or you can give it up."

The mysterious teenager took a second to think about it and said, "What will it do?"

The grand mage chuckled and threw it towards one of the staff members and at a visible rate, everyone could see that his mana surged and directly improved his mana capacity greatly.

The mysterious teenager took out a sigil and said, "I'll take it."

Gasps could be heard from the audience as they realized the identity of this mysterious teenager.

"He's Mathias, the genius from the Kingdom of Clouds!"

"Man, I wish I was one of the people who got lucky."

"Fortune really does favor heroes."

The grand mage simply conjured another one and placed it into Mathias' body. He could feel the sudden surge of mana coursing through his mana circuit but oddly enough it didn't overload his circuit but expanded it as it went along his body increasing but mana capability.

One of the people who were on stage saw this and was a little agitated, he saw how much of an improvement it gave to Mathias and hoped to also gain the same amount of power. He voiced out what he wanted to which the grand mage obliged.

That person also received the same amount of power as Mathias to which he could feel completely rework his weak body. He bowed down in awe and respect.

"Then what does the other three want? You only get a single wish so make it count."

Realizing that this was really happening, one of the nobles in the audience voiced out to trade places but offering land, status, and gold. Having such a grand opportunity in front of him, there was no way he was letting go of it.

Despite all of the tempting offers, no one budged from their positions. This time a woman voiced out that she wanted a boy's heart.

"Simple enough, as long as it is within my capabilities I'll do it."

She pointed to the noble that she wanted and the grand mage simply conjured a magic circle. Right after, the noble that she wanted confessed to her. Andrei realized that this wish was starting to directly manipulate people but oddly enough he couldn't muster the will to retaliate.

The other man realized he could wish for anything he wanted but decided to play it safe. He wanted enough money to last him multiple lifetimes. The grand mage just threw him a storage ring and let that man figure out how much money there was.

Finally, it was Andrei's turn. He had to think this through since he was starting to tread on territory he'll be in danger in.

Andrei looked down while thoroughly thinking about what he wanted.

"Can move this at a more closed off area? I don't want to say it out loud."

The grand mage didn't mind, "Follow me. For everyone else, you'll be now seeing the actual show."

Right after his speech, the grand mage and Andrei walked off stage and Rosaline appeared in his stead to start the real show after his grand appearance. The grand mage and Andrei walked to a more closed off area where apparently the grand mage has his own room.

They both sat down across from each other.

"Would you like some tea?"

"It would be rude not to."

They both were sitting while teapots and cups were moving into place on their own. Andrei finally started to speak about what he wanted.

Andrei took a sip of his tea and said, "I know what the black veil says. I want you to get rid of someone for me."

"Oh? Well, who is it? I always keep my word."

"I say someone but what I really mean is an organization. Since you know the cipher, you also know that there's something darker happening behind the scenes, right?"

"So what if I do?"

"Then it'll be much easier for you to get the job done. I need you to kill Freuden, one of the current heads of this kingdom's hidden secrets."

"Then it's simple enough."

Andrei started to slightly raise his voice, "No, you don't understand. He's an assassin, someone you'll have trouble killing, and with the amount of connections he has you might as well be taking on the entire kingdom."

The grand mage took a sip of his own tea, "Who said I'll be the one taking him on? Give me a year, I'll get it done."

"I'll be supporting you as much as I can. It's finally time to start making changes."

"I don't need your help instead my subordinate who'll be the one in need. I'm sure you've met her before."

The grand mage took out a scroll and showed two children in the middle of a campfire. The little girl and torturing a man while the boy just stood to watch.

When Andrei saw the little girl's face a name popped up in his mind, "Elizabeth! She's the one I'll be backing, isn't she?"

"Of course, who else would it be?"

Andrei stood up and walked out to leave but the grand mage stopped him, "Before you leave, tell Mathias to go to the upcoming show tomorrow. Since he's coming out to get experience, it'll be a shame if he didn't see it."

Andrei gritted his teeth and said, "Are you crazy? He's still too young to see that."

The grand mage smirked and said, "Too young? Are you sure?"

"I get it. I'll make sure of it."

After Andrei left, the grand mage's figure slowly phased out to reveal Adam in his place. He had gone and put up a show to lure all the pieces to the board and it was finally time to play. He still had enough time to put everything into place.

After the circus finally finished, everyone went home quite satisfied. They had an opportunity to meet a grand mage and had experienced what they needed after such a long time. At the scene, there was Rosaline sitting at the benches just blanky staring into the fake skies.

Adam showed up beside her and started issuing some orders, "Get everyone to get ready for any assassins that'll come by to say hello."

Rosaline looked at Adam and said, "Can't we take a break at least? My voice is exhausted from all those announcements earlier."

Adam still stood with his orders, "Your voice is exhausted but your body isn't. You don't have any excuses that can get you out of here."

"Fine, fine. They're going to be just some scouts anyway, I doubt they'll do anything too drastic."

A flying knife went straight towards Rosaline's throat but the knife stopped a mere centimeter from it. The assassin who threw it was extremely shocked at how his knife didn't cleanly pierce her neck. When the assassin looked closer, it appears that Rosaline caught the flying knife with two fingers.

Adam commented, "I told you to get ready, they aren't the usual trash you see in Bran. Every single one here is a professional killer."

Despite a near-death experience, Rosaline still remained calm and even a bit lazy. Her real skill finally started showing.

"Just this much strength? I assure you, even the weakest of my men is stronger than this man right here."

"Good because otherwise, I would've made a mistake."

A few more assassins showed up and also threw another knife but this time infused mana into those knives making them harder to perceive.

Rosaline still sat down and sighed, with a swipe of her hands she took all the knives that were thrown out in a delicate manner. She threw back at an even faster speed all accurately hitting the assassins' legs immobilizing them.

"Aw? Five on one? Seems a little unfair, isn't it?"

The young guard who guarded the front finally appeared and immediately knocked them out in an instant. He now took them all on his shoulders and started to transport them.

As the guard was about to move them Adam stopped him, "Where are you going?"

The young guard answered respectfully, "Boss, to lock them up."

"Exactly, why are you going there?"

Adam went to the middle of the stage and opened a trap door that blended it into the floor, aided with Adam's illusion no person unspecialized in finding secrets could find.

When the guard looked below, it was a proper dungeon. There were jail cells, tools, and even a room where they could take a break-in. When he looked around, even more, there were even proper lodgings and it seemed to be rooms that were made of high-quality materials.

Rosaline seemed to cheer up as she looked at a bed and jumped on top of it. She thanked Adam half-heartedly while almost dozing off to sleep.

"Well, it seems like she liked it. You can lock them up over there. I guess they were too sensitive, attacking the moment they were found out."

Adam finally finished all he needed to do for today. He now had a bit of free time to himself. He decided to tour the Kingdom of Luxury.
